I am late! I am late! And I missed an important date!

Yesterday, I braved the horrendous rain numerous times because I had a lot to get done. The 5 boys went in for their blood work, microchips and neuters. So, too many trips in the pouring rain to count, I was very happy to finally be dry and warm at the end of the day. But that meant, that I did not have any more daylight to take pics of the boys and they were too full of energy. It is amazing how surgery at this age has so little effect on them!

A few words from the pups about their new owners and names. :+)

Hello! I am Miss LUCY! I use to be called 'Teal' and I belong to Wendy and Jeff. I know Wendy wanted a lap doggie, but if my owners sit together, I should fit just fine. (14 lbs.)

Good Morning from Purple Girl - oops, I mean 'PEARL'! Actually, since I am a breeding hopeful, my REAL name is: Annabelle's MUDDIE PEARL. I will live with my new guardians, Lisa, John and Grace. (10 lbs.)

Shoot! I am still waiting for my new family. :+( As I understand it, one is coming to play with me on Saturday. Maybe by next week, I can tell you what my name is. (Pink Girl - 8 1/2 lbs.))

Yes, it is me....GRACIE. I love lounging on this nice ol' leopard. The colors compliment me so well given it has all those lovely shades of my former namesake - Chocolate. My new owners, Dina and Joe, are getting me a harness to match this leopard kitty. How divine! (10 3/4 lbs.)

I am telling ya, going to the vets yesterday was a MAJOR headache! I have lots to tell my new owners Kaley and David about 'the procedure'! By the way, my new name is Norville. I like that a whole lot better than 'Orange' - I don't feel like a fruit anymore. (11.5 lbs.)

You think you had it bad! I am Oliver, known previously as Red Boy. After my surgery, I ended up 'shaving' and slicing my nose! So I have boo boos on BOTH ends. Andrew and Cailin, my new owners, are going to be soooo worried! (10.2 lbs.) (I am fine, really...ha, ha!

Yes, I was in the hospital too, and I love the flowers! Everyone knows me as Black Boy but my new owners Brian, Jackie and Andrea want me to be called Baylor now. Can someone show me how to put this diaper on??? (13 lbs.)

When you are feeling 'a bit green', there is nothing like a sympathetic friend to hold your hand. Although I have a new family, they are having a difficult time giving me a name. I sure hope I don't have to wait much longer. I need some perking up. (11.2 lbs.)

I could go over all the surgical details with you, but I really don't think they would have the same affect on you as it did on me.......

I am no longer 'blue' and have a wonderful family named Nancy and Steve who are great readers. They have given me a name of distinction and flair... 'Lestat du Lioncourt'. I think it is famous in the literary world. (9.3 lbs.)

Cadbury's pups and the tunnel.

It wasn't always raining, you know. Actually last week was rather nice and the pups had a wonderful time outdoors in the activity area with their tunnel. I have been smart enough to bring the tunnel indoors when it has rained, so it has seen quite a bit of action! They love to play in it and if you want one for home, just go to your local Home Depot and you will find them in the aisle where they sell cement. :+)

Yep, the sun was actually shining. We all miss it.

Maple's pups are 4 weeks and sooo solid!

Lordy, lordy it has been busy around here! In the last week, Maple's puppies have gone from nursing to lapping up Goat's Milk with Gerber Rice Cereal. Once that was tolerated well, we jumped to Gerber's baby meats and combo meals; and now hamburger mixed with Goat's Milk, pureed veggies and mommy for dessert. :+)

Along with their widening palette, their eyes are open, teeth are developing, wrestling with each other and doing a decent job mastering the potty box! The strides in development made from the 3rd to the 4th week is simply amazing!

Now, when I sit in the area, I have wagging tails and tumbling puppies - it is my very favorite time. :+)

Miss Lavender - 4.2 lbs.

Mr. Spot - 4 1/2 lbs. A potential guardian home candidate. Still should be considered for a preference as potential candidates do not always pass my strict standards and are sold as pets.

Kelly Green - 4 1/2 lbs. (I love her markings!)

Miss Pumpkin - 4 1/4 lbs.

Miss Rose - 3 1/2 lbs.

Miss Fudge - 4 lbs. (If she had Mr. Spot's parti markings, they would be bookends!)

Navy Boy - 5 1/4 lbs.

Blue Boy is SOLD!

Saturday March 27th, Blue Boy found a perfect home. I am thrilled!

He is an exceptional pup that will charm you to pieces. His demeanor is soft, gentle and he beseeches your attention with his adorable face. Blue Boy needs an environment that is low key - a retired couple or work from home situation would be perfect or a family with very gentle and quiet children. Exposure to the world and all it has to offer is absolutely required so that he can expand his horizons. A placement that has someone home most of the time is a must. This boy will attach to you and be your foot warmer no matter where you are. Yes, he likes to play and obviously enjoys chewing sticks, grass, toys and any other thing you might forget to pick up! LOL!

The potential owner must understand the needs of a soft natured pup/dog. Positive training only and no invisible fences as he is too tender hearted for such a negative experience. No smother mothers either as he must understand that to be alone is fine and normal.

Here he is hiding from his siblings (or trying to) with his treasure.

Sitting like a perfect gentleman.

Notice his color when compared to his siblings? Blue Boy will be either a cafe` or a parchment. He will lighten up dramatically similar to a tan or honey beige.

Again a comparison between a chocolate color (pink collar) and Blue Boy.

Blue's coat is to die for soft. A gorgeous flowing wavy fleece.

Are you his potential owner?

Maple's litter is three weeks old!

Boy, what a yucky day to take pictures! So, I went with the flow and used an umbrella to celebrate Maple's pups at 3 weeks of age. Sometimes you just have to accept rainy days with the same gusto as the sunny ones!

They are all chunky as heck. I think Maple is producing ice cream. :+)

Mr. Spot is 3 1/4 lbs.

Navy Boy is 3 1/2 lbs.

Miss Lavender weighs 2 3/4 lbs.

Miss Fudge is also 2 3/4 lbs.

Miss Pumpkin is 3 lbs.

Miss Rose is 2 3/4 lbs.

Kelly Green Girl has had too many helpings of 'ice cream!' She is 3 1/2 lbs.

The pups are loving the play area!

Since they got their shots on Friday, they have just been having a ball in the play yard! There is so much room for them to run and run and run! They have dug a large hole with the help of Maple; and checked out leaves, pine cones and branches.

They certainly sleep well at night! :+)

Did you notice the hole that was dug right under the ramp?

The tire 'wall' offers both some shade to rest and chew the pines.....

and the sticks! It seems I missed picking up a few!

Plenty of space to play tug o war!

The 'wooded' area has lots to sniff and investigate.

It seems there is something very interesting there!

More tugging.

The rubber mulch pen is for hiding treats!

Look at all the room! They so enjoy romping full steam ahead!

I think they are playing 'peek a boo'!

Chillin'.

A branch becomes a toy!

Of course. There aren't enough pine cones on THEIR side of the fence.

This is the far end of the play area.
