The day was absolutely gorgeous with blue skies and mild temperatures.</p><p>Once all arrived, we went outside with the pups for some socialization, fresh air and 'blanket' rubs on each pup. Then we started our meeting to go over the pup booklet. Later we all went outdoors again for pictures, and the last 'potty' stop before traveling to their new homes.</p><p>Adios my fluffy dear ones! I hope you make me proud as you acclimate to your new home, people and places you will go! :+)</p><p><br /></p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhG6jhOM-Pz8TO_iYjRAGHVh1PYgeh20MonW8ZvKCh201g72bRzGCfYs1EKExYk9LF60ZWjkoFmcuPA_OfR4EIqB40bx_pulKrug5x_A51uL-mDyV4g9qSxPggmRc2fO4kS9ILPjV_uQD2YjvBvMusNt2S4kkSC_Iom500NoqmymLHcftz1CgQh6uEo/s3472/9D3611E8-5903-49FE-8E88-B9FB9656162B_1_201_a.jpeg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3168" data-original-width="3472" height="292" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhG6jhOM-Pz8TO_iYjRAGHVh1PYgeh20MonW8ZvKCh201g72bRzGCfYs1EKExYk9LF60ZWjkoFmcuPA_OfR4EIqB40bx_pulKrug5x_A51uL-mDyV4g9qSxPggmRc2fO4kS9ILPjV_uQD2YjvBvMusNt2S4kkSC_Iom500NoqmymLHcftz1CgQh6uEo/s320/9D3611E8-5903-49FE-8E88-B9FB9656162B_1_201_a.jpeg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Deb and Phoebe Nyx! Pups are bathe, bags are packed and they are ready for their homes!!<p>Did you honestly think this day would ever be on the horizon???? :)</p><p>Right now they are running around the pup room like a bunch of naked toddlers under a sprinkler! :+)</p><p>All of them were great for their bath and amazingly good with the hair dryer! None showed any concern at all which makes me very pleased. I added their microchip tag to their collars and will put them on tomorrow morning in hopes none of them will allow their siblings to chew it! Little stinkers!</p><p>I am sorry pictures could not be taken during the bath - hubby was busy with wood and I needed double the hands I have....:+(</p><p>Please be on time tomorrow. I have an early wake to attend to (hubby's friend) but will be there for 11 am. If you are early, please wait in the driveway in your vehicle or go uptown for a cup of coffee! :+)</p><p>Looking forward to seeing all the smiles tomorrow as you FINALLY take your companions home. Remember after my 'talk', each one of you needs to stay in line for pictures - doesn't take long, I promise!!!</p>Joyce Taborhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17864651955817172696noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5171310921128625675.post-10369864851677517822024-02-01T14:34:00.005-05:002024-02-01T16:57:01.536-05:00WEEK EIGHT! - Phoebe#2 x Diesel Litter<p>Yup, time is moving very quickly to pick up day next week. Are you ready?? </p><p>Since today is cloudy but not raining (yet), I decided to try and take a pic of each pup alone outdoors. They all love being outside and are thrilled to be playing, chasing, finding treasures and just exploring in a lot of space.</p><p>I have contacted all the new owners and everyone is quite happy with their assignments! My trainer was very impressed with this litter which makes me feel good. :+)</p><p>One more week and they will all be in a new home with new people wondering 'what the heck happened'? Just remember to give them time to get accustomed - they will come around. Petting, playing and eating make them very happy. :+)</p><p><br /></p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigITbELGiiUK7KSYulvE2z_jnshq9NYwcKzyv1-FW0AFlDDM3SvCY9RHmKOg_vJ5mi60_2V8SOECDaDYosyK9gSs4HzK471Fxp0sh9DSzC07uK1MNvTgYVYS5U_1Yj-fXrO-emWFCsU_xnA9f69QtY9Xv_CUYcmR_PGBEL_V4Q8L9x5Es14CDlVLb3/s2557/0F31FE0B-7E7B-4958-A9A6-A10965404A28_1_201_a.jpeg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2557" data-original-width="2463" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigITbELGiiUK7KSYulvE2z_jnshq9NYwcKzyv1-FW0AFlDDM3SvCY9RHmKOg_vJ5mi60_2V8SOECDaDYosyK9gSs4HzK471Fxp0sh9DSzC07uK1MNvTgYVYS5U_1Yj-fXrO-emWFCsU_xnA9f69QtY9Xv_CUYcmR_PGBEL_V4Q8L9x5Es14CDlVLb3/s320/0F31FE0B-7E7B-4958-A9A6-A10965404A28_1_201_a.jpeg" width="308" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">'King of the Mountain' is MOOSE Cheney! 9 1/2 lbs.</td></tr></tbody></table><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5YceorENE-fSI5Xbq6T-oB8nMogxGEY0dtqKuBGupVhMIiuVjT2ujIrraCCfchF8aYPfRC7lRzJaR2Vl365jk5XGsnjzwkj465tlWP5x5R7CvKNijq-6XrkBmK5h-1iy4a13P8eaNKFgzhko9dCS6QN6w7FTMZyJGe7JE4ZAz8DpkdQHb4llDCnRA/s3168/4D860921-CD09-4EF0-AA86-A5EC08EA10FD_1_201_a.jpeg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3168" data-original-width="3085" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5YceorENE-fSI5Xbq6T-oB8nMogxGEY0dtqKuBGupVhMIiuVjT2ujIrraCCfchF8aYPfRC7lRzJaR2Vl365jk5XGsnjzwkj465tlWP5x5R7CvKNijq-6XrkBmK5h-1iy4a13P8eaNKFgzhko9dCS6QN6w7FTMZyJGe7JE4ZAz8DpkdQHb4llDCnRA/s320/4D860921-CD09-4EF0-AA86-A5EC08EA10FD_1_201_a.jpeg" width="312" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">LUKA Morrissette/Marotta being his typical goofy and active self! 10 lbs.</td></tr></tbody></table><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgav96MATs3bRijvVgwwoHZ7fnGuCuDtcubuuGVmkORD-ghZfMzn86VaT6AoXEFtvalv8KrNdyOelvaMI3W3ttsDURTqTG_4bzVAYTZWYhrHbVyVLhOAX_LVv89CplM4cGo8CmhDFdx6u45ZkLFv_TPpR6oikQjozOGBNNjZNvSzU_BOjJqngNgQRvb/s3168/298A4310-F120-4EE9-92DC-BC371C4C14C6_1_201_a.jpeg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3168" data-original-width="2986" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgav96MATs3bRijvVgwwoHZ7fnGuCuDtcubuuGVmkORD-ghZfMzn86VaT6AoXEFtvalv8KrNdyOelvaMI3W3ttsDURTqTG_4bzVAYTZWYhrHbVyVLhOAX_LVv89CplM4cGo8CmhDFdx6u45ZkLFv_TPpR6oikQjozOGBNNjZNvSzU_BOjJqngNgQRvb/s320/298A4310-F120-4EE9-92DC-BC371C4C14C6_1_201_a.jpeg" width="302" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Dainty HAZEL Cohen enjoyed a lick of snow. 6 1/2 lbs.</td></tr></tbody></table><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEgCvTphisgqWRjKhX-el1cTNNh5jBjBAomf4q2sIUpmXhWICZ8tpHDPjjTNlFFwy_s2rn0hCV2udcl9YoILeAZSTfGHSDM6h1wrmt_zxsAub7WvZ83JITGEYNyc36E4REI9nfpt34dnpsvu4UXkm0Q08RPeSfhxGgfaEWEwT8IAhlNKd7hb60P3LP/s3168/A6852452-413B-4891-A466-E66206BAC6BB_1_201_a.jpeg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3168" data-original-width="3031" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEgCvTphisgqWRjKhX-el1cTNNh5jBjBAomf4q2sIUpmXhWICZ8tpHDPjjTNlFFwy_s2rn0hCV2udcl9YoILeAZSTfGHSDM6h1wrmt_zxsAub7WvZ83JITGEYNyc36E4REI9nfpt34dnpsvu4UXkm0Q08RPeSfhxGgfaEWEwT8IAhlNKd7hb60P3LP/s320/A6852452-413B-4891-A466-E66206BAC6BB_1_201_a.jpeg" width="306" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">PHOEBE (we have a 'jr.') Got pics up!<p>WE are all back home and in spite of the storm of heavy snow (but thankfully not a foot of it!), we traveled very well up to Cumberland Maine to visit my trainer. The pups did super in my car for the hour and 15 minute drive. :+)</p><p>Once we arrived, I set up my portable pen in her garage and they all settled in. Each one was seen individually for about 20+ minutes as she went through the steps with all of them. I did take pics but they will not download from my phone - I am such an IT idiot _ I really hate it so you must forgive me. I did not take my 'user friendly Canon' as I though the iPhone would do the trick - WRONG! I will see if my savvy son can help me later. :+(</p><p>Anyway, until then, I can say I was proud of every pup and was complimented by my trainer for raising such a nice group of pups. Thank you, Judy! If I get lucky and my son can help I will update this post.</p><p>OH MY GOD I DID IT BY MYSELF!!! Diesel is a sturdy 30 - 32 pounder. A rugged boy with nice solid boning. Personally, I love this size - not too big or too small - a perfect companion size to wrestle with, take hiking, swim in the ocean or boating. Of course little Miss Star will be the exception - NOT in personality but is size. I expect her to only be about 24 lbs. Still able to 'nap in your lap'!!!</p><p>We are in 'shark' week(s) now. They use teeth for everything in their path - toys, food, shoes, fingers, clothes ...oh my! When you visit, be prepared and don't wear your cute shoes or nice pants - I warned you!! :+)</p><p>Tomorrow the group will go to my vets for their full check up, the Distemper and Parvo Virus vaccine and their microchip. Hence, no visits are scheduled on Friday because I want them to stay as calm as possible to watch for any vaccine reactions, if any. I have never had any but like to stay vigilant.</p><p>On Monday morning, we go for the hour trip to visit my trainer for their temperament assessments. A BIG day! I will NOT have any write up results for several days, so please be patient. You will know very quickly when I receive them. Till then:</p><p></p><ol style="text-align: left;"><li>Please send me your three favorite pups. Discuss and let me know as soon as possible.</li><li>It is important that you have both a name for a female and one for a male when I call you as I have a ton of paperwork to do and absolutely REQUIRE that name.</li><li>Once you have been assigned and agree to a pup, the balance will be due via check or cash. </li><li>Be sure to order your Snuggle Puppy on Amazon as they are not available in stores (that I know of).</li><li>Start puppy proofing your home and check out the Puppy Prep Tab on the website!</li></ol><div>Before you know it, February 10th will be here! Time for everyone to arrive is 11 am that morning! Should take about an hour. :+) Joyce</div><div><br /></div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEih9u2iTLyRdzC5lRkDS7ZCDkKsHElfort2S6F-jcHDuPo4jspb2ve3GodZmILD2p-YX91iqBnaW73XAL223-jxY0xWwVczeIciGPPHlgk9AbyoGB4XLlXzJSf11o7UaD9CHVeWq4sUJOS5RAomYVIt-QiXWB0i3NJ2AWNmCY5PmcDxFvrZUB2gSLkn/s2659/0ABD1872-239C-457E-B718-DC25AA4F7B4B_1_201_a.jpeg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2659" data-original-width="2541" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEih9u2iTLyRdzC5lRkDS7ZCDkKsHElfort2S6F-jcHDuPo4jspb2ve3GodZmILD2p-YX91iqBnaW73XAL223-jxY0xWwVczeIciGPPHlgk9AbyoGB4XLlXzJSf11o7UaD9CHVeWq4sUJOS5RAomYVIt-QiXWB0i3NJ2AWNmCY5PmcDxFvrZUB2gSLkn/s320/0ABD1872-239C-457E-B718-DC25AA4F7B4B_1_201_a.jpeg" width="306" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Cinder - A coat of silk and a clone of her dad in looks and personality. We make our own food for our doodles and it is not hard to do. I rarely feed kibble - only in an emergency situation. The pups are being fed a raw food diet - our own. They are thriving.</p><p>A great book to purchase is SWITCHING TO RAW by Susan K. Johnson. Shows you how to create your dog's food, a calendar to use as a guide to be sure all nutrients are met and interesting information that will make sense to you. You can purchase it on Amazon. I highly recommend it.</p>Joyce Taborhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17864651955817172696noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5171310921128625675.post-90038524410692833852024-01-18T10:56:00.000-05:002024-01-18T10:56:21.641-05:00SIX WEEKS - Phoebe#2 x Diesel litter<p>During the past week, I have added a crate into the pup pen because I want them to have a 'level' of comfort being in one. They are not in an individual crate but one that fits all of them - as being part of a pack is comforting. With momma Phoebe only visiting once a day for nursing, they entertain themselves with multiple toys, wrestling, visitors and sleeping!</p><p>Today, I added the 'busy mat' which has small toys stitched onto it to tug, chew and snuggle with. I also used it in the photo session - they enjoyed it much more when it was on the floor. :+) I change up the toys every few days for interest and to wash them!</p><p>They continue to eat 3 to 4 meals a day depending on when Phoebe comes for a short visit. They are gaining well and have lots of teeth - never come here with good clothes on! They are chewing up a storm!</p><p><br /></p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnCvPhSf6RV4DvtcsVFfsbLkcGegRypVmRQk8pnsLsoQMtEm5a8UpsYpCU0NajAeLlLQiP7cX4Lb9x-NW1waEJlmJa4C_aHFEUhGUzzufFNPI1xNxmWV4GjlGAuvvGcJUt05WCwwwOalQpJH7fV8jjWXnx8XUB_H8AlIuLawZYBE72zzFaVSP__OT8/s3567/3256BDBD-C080-4DFD-A160-4D6D243514D9_1_201_a.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2634" data-original-width="3567" height="236" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnCvPhSf6RV4DvtcsVFfsbLkcGegRypVmRQk8pnsLsoQMtEm5a8UpsYpCU0NajAeLlLQiP7cX4Lb9x-NW1waEJlmJa4C_aHFEUhGUzzufFNPI1xNxmWV4GjlGAuvvGcJUt05WCwwwOalQpJH7fV8jjWXnx8XUB_H8AlIuLawZYBE72zzFaVSP__OT8/s320/3256BDBD-C080-4DFD-A160-4D6D243514D9_1_201_a.jpeg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">After their photo session, the pups investigated the busy mat further.</td></tr></tbody></table><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjihohp-iaZo_51cQEwwdWB7U7lwCM6xwPq-uNrZjUPpw8RGUIIc8EWmQ4uiD8gT1gSC3om5QOC_QtSxFiceVGSPq2vcxk-mgMD3sFwm8hsSM3fB6XdX6hIIwsjoIPMOKqGEm42iHJKfAPHoxmwDLd-wZuBAAWDJ1BFacsglf3SFVWXzgSriv884Q_F/s3892/7436DDE6-F5AE-48E2-B3EC-CD1F8092DB62_1_201_a.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3168" data-original-width="3892" height="260" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjihohp-iaZo_51cQEwwdWB7U7lwCM6xwPq-uNrZjUPpw8RGUIIc8EWmQ4uiD8gT1gSC3om5QOC_QtSxFiceVGSPq2vcxk-mgMD3sFwm8hsSM3fB6XdX6hIIwsjoIPMOKqGEm42iHJKfAPHoxmwDLd-wZuBAAWDJ1BFacsglf3SFVWXzgSriv884Q_F/s320/7436DDE6-F5AE-48E2-B3EC-CD1F8092DB62_1_201_a.jpeg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">JINGLES - wk 6 and 6 3/4 lbs.<br />He really enjoys cuddling. </td></tr></tbody></table><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihFaTX8KDbMcc23vBQBuygWNYKhiJu9stZYhNuslObZ55vrGop_u9LhYMBxcGJpVtJHJFxjre5WN-WkRco0amFwKOuCMyxxXMoad5-lwOwedrs6gLUjEA8PGjOklv_b3hhMgohdqx1a2kJMMouKkyfeqGFU2UaNGyzeetCvxE6wGMLuHRgK80ed_aE/s3168/571269B3-6DCB-4204-BEFF-8395407055EA_1_201_a.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3168" data-original-width="2880" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihFaTX8KDbMcc23vBQBuygWNYKhiJu9stZYhNuslObZ55vrGop_u9LhYMBxcGJpVtJHJFxjre5WN-WkRco0amFwKOuCMyxxXMoad5-lwOwedrs6gLUjEA8PGjOklv_b3hhMgohdqx1a2kJMMouKkyfeqGFU2UaNGyzeetCvxE6wGMLuHRgK80ed_aE/s320/571269B3-6DCB-4204-BEFF-8395407055EA_1_201_a.jpeg" width="291" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">CINDER - Wk. 6 - 6 1/2 lbs.<br />No dainty dot! The pups loved it. With so many issues (bloody diarrhea, vomiting, lethargy, refusal to eat) coming out on dry kibble from NUMEROUS brands like Purina, Merrick, Instinct, Acana, Stella & Chewys, Origen, Organic, Hills, Royal Canine, Pure Balance and more being added every week, I really think you all should consider looking for a better diet for your companion. I have never embraced feeding my children a steady diet of Mc Donald's, so why settle for a diet devoid of any live nutrients for our pets? The Farmers Food is a terrific alternative, plus they provide you with 'do it yourself' recipes for you to make if you choose to do so.</p><p>Please think about it and check out this company. Please note I receive NO kickbacks for suggesting this food and I despise pyramid companies, I AM an advocate for good nutrition for the pets I bring into this world though. :+)</p><p>The pups will continue on my raw protein diet with veggies and sweet potatoes until they go home on February 10th. </p><p>A couple of pics of our visitors this week! The pups really enjoy all the attention and cuddles!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHAdivnSGeI2wCXPyfA674e36PHhXqwPeKBcsDIMXyafEU5ifkJSh6JcYfOVSDdHx-K9oxzkyUV3YqyXPEhJmTfslGh3Okrdjx08e-b34lLQlCz3a81_nM-VHWA7xnMG_cqVNSs5QMHNhWWSLqxLQJ5bH8e6z0LhMb91dwccZpeQ76zJNu8fbw1Are/s4752/96F892C2-C273-4A7C-BEF1-8A23454BA2AB.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3168" data-original-width="4752" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHAdivnSGeI2wCXPyfA674e36PHhXqwPeKBcsDIMXyafEU5ifkJSh6JcYfOVSDdHx-K9oxzkyUV3YqyXPEhJmTfslGh3Okrdjx08e-b34lLQlCz3a81_nM-VHWA7xnMG_cqVNSs5QMHNhWWSLqxLQJ5bH8e6z0LhMb91dwccZpeQ76zJNu8fbw1Are/s320/96F892C2-C273-4A7C-BEF1-8A23454BA2AB.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjas_st33TUlESlF5TXuHFsLF5xckshEtn92vfGs2fnDfCy5bdFfZBjOS0WZ-n7DB1nvUkI-sdIOgfZ7WoMON2db-2LMTi8HN7KFADSRQ_vuRa3dqKgx8pEq8iFjVvlTxy0lKoMZVmShTsLNgoWh_IWbEg1sFAEmeW9dCs_51F5-DoCzKsbpsVX0VJ8/s4752/57995389-2EE8-4A9B-B690-0EEECE23E7DC.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3168" data-original-width="4752" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjas_st33TUlESlF5TXuHFsLF5xckshEtn92vfGs2fnDfCy5bdFfZBjOS0WZ-n7DB1nvUkI-sdIOgfZ7WoMON2db-2LMTi8HN7KFADSRQ_vuRa3dqKgx8pEq8iFjVvlTxy0lKoMZVmShTsLNgoWh_IWbEg1sFAEmeW9dCs_51F5-DoCzKsbpsVX0VJ8/s320/57995389-2EE8-4A9B-B690-0EEECE23E7DC.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimvgQr3aHjDGYDXZqs6ABkw1XztVWTwo0Dpj-rtNNc0hBiCIRqkswdEE4TKi6cIh_MBgOX4WxXk7AUQ9YSHl3lnDdSZWi8U6zBhs3Kytz2xjWuQJPpxbLFb6vHAG-mSPEoeR_tZMM_bMIx8rvOVK8bqfyijtB0sBvYefl6RhaDA3A6wA6pemGeM8Rc/s4752/A6985FF8-C72F-4AD6-B1FC-17B2F9E08F4F.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3168" data-original-width="4752" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimvgQr3aHjDGYDXZqs6ABkw1XztVWTwo0Dpj-rtNNc0hBiCIRqkswdEE4TKi6cIh_MBgOX4WxXk7AUQ9YSHl3lnDdSZWi8U6zBhs3Kytz2xjWuQJPpxbLFb6vHAG-mSPEoeR_tZMM_bMIx8rvOVK8bqfyijtB0sBvYefl6RhaDA3A6wA6pemGeM8Rc/s320/A6985FF8-C72F-4AD6-B1FC-17B2F9E08F4F.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKWZN5SRJeldE3ah6qQOF4L8686Xh-XZaF6OL2jO5_opuNWGifqvE2tbVAUGkg6Mt2P7MJAPnAi54k1UdC_ky0ZzJ7LtBBjTaEJoq9DHUVycK_3E8ZkoVU9KjbAGSCPgvzMcFxi7RpqQ2QPlAkTcf3jzSKmv8PwPrvKBcgqWtcJiSXT8LHKH-VgE0r/s4752/AE81AB17-F8D2-46B2-A312-FCD1380D2268.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3168" data-original-width="4752" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKWZN5SRJeldE3ah6qQOF4L8686Xh-XZaF6OL2jO5_opuNWGifqvE2tbVAUGkg6Mt2P7MJAPnAi54k1UdC_ky0ZzJ7LtBBjTaEJoq9DHUVycK_3E8ZkoVU9KjbAGSCPgvzMcFxi7RpqQ2QPlAkTcf3jzSKmv8PwPrvKBcgqWtcJiSXT8LHKH-VgE0r/s320/AE81AB17-F8D2-46B2-A312-FCD1380D2268.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOz2MuDtU6gaSH8mIp2nRkisvPOd9FKhHMq3TXl-GZCehARGD3Gf3VLziwUxS0fxCTq4S_EIcg5hqDqaQXPq0r7kVtqnIkg1o92d9cZvIDB6eBRgq-EQrtDujBkCkHVAiOwqUl0RrzdWCHBYhkCnMSEZ_h_hN5l_-weiGf9mlZCKnUSuZo2Fu7qs4C/s4752/D77410D8-8EBF-42E7-8736-9FD71D753529.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3168" data-original-width="4752" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOz2MuDtU6gaSH8mIp2nRkisvPOd9FKhHMq3TXl-GZCehARGD3Gf3VLziwUxS0fxCTq4S_EIcg5hqDqaQXPq0r7kVtqnIkg1o92d9cZvIDB6eBRgq-EQrtDujBkCkHVAiOwqUl0RrzdWCHBYhkCnMSEZ_h_hN5l_-weiGf9mlZCKnUSuZo2Fu7qs4C/s320/D77410D8-8EBF-42E7-8736-9FD71D753529.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>Joyce Taborhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17864651955817172696noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5171310921128625675.post-83523466495483429052024-01-11T09:56:00.002-05:002024-01-11T09:56:56.464-05:00FIVE WEEKS! Phoebe x Diesel Litter<p> Man, these pups are now rocking and rolling! So much growth is happening. Pups are wagging their tails when I come in and do the same when my other doodles go in for short stints of dog socialization. Phoebe is quite happy to share. :+)</p><p>I have been introducing a gruel of milk and The Honest Kitchen blend with Gerber Turkey meat to entice the pups to eat more gruel and lessen the load on their mom. They happily have embraced the gruel. </p><p>Phoebe has been enjoying spending chunks of time with her family and always comes back to make sure her babies are all well. Very soon Phoebe will be spending more time with her family and small brief moments here as we 'officially' wean the pups. I like to do it over a week so both mom and pups are not stressed. Then Phoebe will be invited to visit her brood to play and teach until she decides she has had enough. </p><p>The pups now have teeth, wrestle until one calls 'uncle', actively play with the toys in their pen, drink water and enjoy their free time out of the pen to meet, greet and investigate. They walk, see, hear and learning to drink water. This week is a 'leaps and bounds' learning curve! Also, for those who want to visit them for a short period, please email or call for a time. Just remember, the world is a big and scary place for them to navigate, so gentle handling, soft voices and absolutely NO screams of delight! They are just now able to navigate sound, we don't want to scare them.</p><p>I will only schedule two visits a day so please understand this. You will have many times to visit longer and interact with these pups as the weeks go by. Okay??? Sometimes, I may have to re-schedule a visit if a vet, trainer or other appt. should conflict - we need to be flexible a bit. :+)</p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFmEZ3YVOyokHuZmKM3Jq3OqncRKXNfjSe4WUtpwndhzPpel7WxrajXQGkoux3yP41jArZ4qomPrYC6UiF0q8HM1D47r9RMe5v-s-utouWScdvXbvocC2o8UWz6d-lhf4cCzM6Nr6neXj6VdBUMfjIHemiL_iCuzdYTlJyApLVbkdlmDkPB_4gg7qF/s2910/604EAA69-EF12-4524-B826-AC1D597FB8E1_1_201_a.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2910" data-original-width="2456" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFmEZ3YVOyokHuZmKM3Jq3OqncRKXNfjSe4WUtpwndhzPpel7WxrajXQGkoux3yP41jArZ4qomPrYC6UiF0q8HM1D47r9RMe5v-s-utouWScdvXbvocC2o8UWz6d-lhf4cCzM6Nr6neXj6VdBUMfjIHemiL_iCuzdYTlJyApLVbkdlmDkPB_4gg7qF/s320/604EAA69-EF12-4524-B826-AC1D597FB8E1_1_201_a.jpeg" width="270" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Can you find them? They make little growly sounds too. I have had to cut their nails twice now as they grow like crazy. They are becoming a tad more tolerant of holding which will continue to improve. Mommy is allowed to visit her guardians for a couple of hours to begin the weaning/separation process. As soon as the pups are adjusting to a puppy mush, that time will expand and eventually Phoebe will just come for a 'visit' and then her job is complete. All in all, things are going well. Wasn't I surprised when I was doing his exercises to see those little peepers open! He can't see yet but he is sure on track for this milestone. Generally, eyes begin opening on Day 10 and onward.</p><p>Star is a tiny thing next to her 'oversized' siblings! They are over 2 lbs.! I think they are eating banana splits! I watch them nurse and they literally 'plow' down the teats moving anything that is in their way including Star! I have to get Phoebe in her little bed and put Star there to nurse all alone so she gets what she needs. I did decide to switch their sleeping quarters to a higher sided 'box' and Phoebe is much happier as she now has a 'designated' place where she can lie down and take a nap away from pups. It seemed that Phoebe insisted she be in the back of the original bed and kept moving it away from the wall so she could fit! Oi. Now, all are happy including me! :+)</p><p>For several days now, I have been doing Early Neurological Exercises with the pups and will continue for another week. These simple exercises help kick in their neurological system response to different positions such as head up, head down, touching their feet and placing them on a cool clothe. These exercises offer benefits for their development as well as emotional stability and health. Pups eyes do not open until they are approximately 10 days old, so they only smell and feel their momma. Doing these exercises brings a whole new dimension to their young lives. </p><p><span style="background-color: white; caret-color: rgb(33, 37, 41); color: #212529; font-family: "Open Sans", sans-serif; font-size: 19.200001px;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg21hBxvxZkf1RBdW6iqqBa4PPuJqULT93C5ZA8sE9qLwQ5X4cwLCbR8SQePYH0aSPXG2MPGQTOe8mjHEIRmXCJ9o8LCkx0TW7P7bOiO3CsLs5yuIDSwnCX0UFxNxSDrWGXiNsB-qdXAwfp5IKQmUsTTbIF-VBHYDgwvbbdoKFHQVfLIg5JTA2_nxB1/s3667/03D0DC0A-64B3-4D4B-839D-D0171FDE3619_1_201_a.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3168" data-original-width="3667" height="276" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg21hBxvxZkf1RBdW6iqqBa4PPuJqULT93C5ZA8sE9qLwQ5X4cwLCbR8SQePYH0aSPXG2MPGQTOe8mjHEIRmXCJ9o8LCkx0TW7P7bOiO3CsLs5yuIDSwnCX0UFxNxSDrWGXiNsB-qdXAwfp5IKQmUsTTbIF-VBHYDgwvbbdoKFHQVfLIg5JTA2_nxB1/s320/03D0DC0A-64B3-4D4B-839D-D0171FDE3619_1_201_a.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLfgFCzEQXHICxY8BHkAUrPNs0RX8QGNt-wda5bdkrJG_RzT141LDZIGHmMyY_eKkYg8jzvCe04DF_D46FZ9aFLMDa-vzRllRfz947XiDWTBHliD6e4QJn9AMovThMI8CsvBQdUZm8J3ZxcYPYC0jgeztGFi2S1d0quiJhYCcoZ88bYThJ6Z-0_WBM/s3168/3A4F15BB-0DDE-4C60-BB9B-467B9A344C4E_1_201_a.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3168" data-original-width="2982" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLfgFCzEQXHICxY8BHkAUrPNs0RX8QGNt-wda5bdkrJG_RzT141LDZIGHmMyY_eKkYg8jzvCe04DF_D46FZ9aFLMDa-vzRllRfz947XiDWTBHliD6e4QJn9AMovThMI8CsvBQdUZm8J3ZxcYPYC0jgeztGFi2S1d0quiJhYCcoZ88bYThJ6Z-0_WBM/s320/3A4F15BB-0DDE-4C60-BB9B-467B9A344C4E_1_201_a.jpeg" width="301" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJ39EetM7pjut2eXMkJqymssNH1TTtGPdmNL3SYueV4nclSj0j5RM4bhJoG5K8kaK_YwkUvpHtlrTg7KhGG5Jr5huNo-Y_-AdIclNGq2Nd0k8yldcJoYOOql0jtb7M1qACuXnsABPnW0QB2M383n1yaEANGXOlYG8No3vUMjH9xgd_hy3xxfr_8ogo/s3371/61D42619-5574-4E55-9DCD-E7BEAEE04788_1_201_a.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3168" data-original-width="3371" height="301" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJ39EetM7pjut2eXMkJqymssNH1TTtGPdmNL3SYueV4nclSj0j5RM4bhJoG5K8kaK_YwkUvpHtlrTg7KhGG5Jr5huNo-Y_-AdIclNGq2Nd0k8yldcJoYOOql0jtb7M1qACuXnsABPnW0QB2M383n1yaEANGXOlYG8No3vUMjH9xgd_hy3xxfr_8ogo/s320/61D42619-5574-4E55-9DCD-E7BEAEE04788_1_201_a.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjopAz-bS_TnpzOB4EY_YqL-yxzPgJxIWaGRbvVIgfnK1yKc5ackU7Z9Lvz-_kT6UpGqqwP7wkHkQudrNxm-Cb1b13OtV5MLOPx_5DAfKNTlSXb8kLlExBwUZbQF4okz4wuAVOXI586zn0HrAKbgi8oojjQaLF1GeXcX17Car-Ue_YWHR-XzITtKNZh/s3668/C8D4C8D4-DAFE-4B15-AE1C-B18F06D2C883_1_201_a.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3168" data-original-width="3668" height="276" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjopAz-bS_TnpzOB4EY_YqL-yxzPgJxIWaGRbvVIgfnK1yKc5ackU7Z9Lvz-_kT6UpGqqwP7wkHkQudrNxm-Cb1b13OtV5MLOPx_5DAfKNTlSXb8kLlExBwUZbQF4okz4wuAVOXI586zn0HrAKbgi8oojjQaLF1GeXcX17Car-Ue_YWHR-XzITtKNZh/s320/C8D4C8D4-DAFE-4B15-AE1C-B18F06D2C883_1_201_a.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><br /> <span style="background-color: white; caret-color: rgb(33, 37, 41); color: #212529; font-family: "Open Sans", sans-serif;">Soon pictures will be more animated, but at this time, they mostly sleep.</span><p></p>Joyce Taborhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17864651955817172696noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5171310921128625675.post-29947954724737963972023-12-10T15:47:00.004-05:002023-12-10T15:47:42.986-05:00Phoebe had a visit today.<p>Her guardian family came by to see her and the pups. With our eldest son in Guam, Christmas has a new dimension at ADNE! Packages take a LONG time so new methods needed to be discussed and implemented!</p><p>I thought some holiday 'funnies' needed to be shared, so although the pups have an ID colored collar, I though I would nickname them in the spirit of this joyful season. There is nothing more I could ask for. :+)</p><p></p>Joyce Taborhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17864651955817172696noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5171310921128625675.post-80413471110800176622023-12-02T17:50:00.000-05:002023-12-02T17:50:05.574-05:00Phoebe is here for her maternity stay!<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDKzEYwJ3rnZEJ8kMPOhaS7ikjiRYeS2WO-sieNOh2lWicvMd4QOuYJYstkyPIVofpm4fhipv5mg824mwoABG-f6Wzad1ejlBfhLy0LnwS1r9EFMYKQAa6kaR2yLaHbCF7i0sZwz9aqBqOCQulU3yYqmCWB_AWL7XgVmAwNsC37C5UJf-HgqUZUS0L/s3168/IMG_8965.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3168" data-original-width="2969" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDKzEYwJ3rnZEJ8kMPOhaS7ikjiRYeS2WO-sieNOh2lWicvMd4QOuYJYstkyPIVofpm4fhipv5mg824mwoABG-f6Wzad1ejlBfhLy0LnwS1r9EFMYKQAa6kaR2yLaHbCF7i0sZwz9aqBqOCQulU3yYqmCWB_AWL7XgVmAwNsC37C5UJf-HgqUZUS0L/s320/IMG_8965.JPG" width="300" /></a></div><br /> She is doing very well and we are now waiting for her five babies to arrive. I don't believe she is ready yet but I expect I will have several sleepless nights as her potty needs increase. She has quite the belly and I expected more than five possible pups when I saw her! They must be some fat babies!!<p></p><p>I did a quick photo of Phoebe in black & white because there is too much glare in my home right now! Plus it accents her pretty eyes. :+)</p><p><br /></p>Joyce Taborhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17864651955817172696noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5171310921128625675.post-80067221249873137622023-11-25T13:25:00.000-05:002023-11-25T13:25:41.208-05:00Black Doodle plans<p> First, I hope all of you had a fabulous THANKSGIVING. We certainly did - very, very busy with our poultry business, company arriving and our grandkids but it was a blessed occasion with tons to eat, desserts galore, helpful hands and a 28 pound turkey enjoyed by our family. And, we STILL have leftovers!!</p><p>A thought occurred to me that although we are on pins and needles awaiting for Phoebe's litter to arrive in early December, a thought strayed from my brain about upcoming litters. My plan is to breed for a mostly black litter. I would love to hear some thoughts from my followers about this. It won't change my mind -as my personal preference is a black doodle BUT I do like hearing why so many people prefer almost any other color BUT black! Some reasons I have listened to:</p><p></p><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>#1 - Everyone tells me they can't see the ticks. Hmmm... okay, but you sure can FEEL them. If you cuddle with your doodle in the evenings like we do, have your tick remover and a small jar nearby because you will find some. Plus, the flea/tick collars work on all colors of doodles.</li><li>#2 - You can't see their eyes...neither can you see the eyes of Old English Sheepdogs, some Terriers, Afghans, Bergamasco, Chinese Crested, Komondor and Puli to name a few. If there is too much hair over your doodle's eyes - trim it!! :+)</li><li>Black dogs, in general, don't show up well in pictures. OK, I give up on that one but...it truly depends on the photographer. There are some amazing pics of black dogs done by great photographers. I do agree, taking a family pic with your black pup/dog can be challenging but it is doable. I am not a great photographer but I do use the tricks that are posted for all to try and implement by people that share the 'lighting tips'. Just Google it!</li></ul><div>If you have any information why YOU don't want a black doodle, please share because I would like to know the hesitation. I still am planning a black pairing because very few breeders will even take a chance on having black pups and I simply don't understand the mechanics of this thought process. So enlighten me! </div><div><br /></div><div>Enjoy planning for the holiday season! Ho! Ho!</div><p></p>Joyce Taborhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17864651955817172696noreply@blogger.com3
