Congratulations Sadie!

Ms. Sadie Benz has just successfully completed her first round of Obedience Classes. Soon, she will begin her second round - I am so proud of her!

Sadie's guardians go as a family to her training and continue to enforce lessons at home which just makes me smile ear to ear!  Keep up the great work! And THANK YOU!

Oh boy - What a treat!

I had a vet's appointment this afternoon and who did I meet while there?  THADDEUS DOOD! I was so tickled to see him as he is now six months of age and just incredibly handsome. His coat is like silk and lies beautifully.  Thad is very friendly, happy and full of himself. When he is a year, we will do his testing to see if he will join the ADNE stud group.  Send good wishes that he does!

Snow crystals on his chin.

Checking out a new dog in the parking lot.

A serious face!

Love the tongue.

Focusing on another arrival!

See you again soon, Duckie!

While speaking with the guardian home for Duckie today, we thought it would be a good idea to meet prior to the Patriot's game so we could all be back in our homes for the start of it - good Pat fans that we are!

I guess Bill is going to be in the 'dog house' today because mom and daughter (in Boston) were not happy we did not wait for them to come for the pick up! Oh DEAR!!!  Hopefully, all will be well once the 'ladies' of the house meet Duckie for the first time. Phineas seemed to be quite pleased with the little fellow and I think will welcome his new buddy's company.

Great pic Bill! Hope you have the game on!

I hope that soon the family will be able to send me one of all of you together enjoying your new friend!

Cathy, contact me any time if you have any questions about the food or instructions. Don't be too hard on Bill, it was my husband that suggested we meet earlier than what you had planned and I thought it was a good idea.  :+)

WYATT SLURP - Stud

It is with great pleasure that Wyatt Slurp joins our breeding program.  Wyatt traveled all the way from Oregon to join the ADNE family and I could not be more thrilled.  His breeder, Labradoodledoo, painstakingly searched for exemplary stock when she started her program and it paid off in spades for health and temperament. Words from Wyatt's guardians:

At 11 weeks, Wyatt joined his guardian family.
We had always had golden retrievers, but were looking for a smaller, non-shedding dog this time around.  So, after researching several breeders – and weeding most out – I met Joyce and her darling doodles.   We were “on the list” for a puppy from an upcoming litter so I scheduled some time to meet Joyce in person.  As we were wrapping up our meeting, Joyce mentioned that she would be looking for a guardian home for a hopeful stud.  I had no idea what a guardian home meant or what it involved, but once I saw a picture of this scruffy, green-eyed, soulful chocolate puppy I just knew he was meant to be ours.
We picked Wyatt up two weeks later and have been madly in love ever since.  Wyatt is the most fun, the smartest, the most athletic, the most quirky, the most cuddly and lovable dog that we have ever had…. THE best dog EVER!!!   Wyatt has such an amazing temperament and personality – there has never been a person or dog that doesn’t go crazy over him and he feels the same way about them.  He really has that “je ne sais quoi”.
Before a year, he passed the CGC

Wyatt captivated the trainers at obedience school – passed his Canine Good Citizenship test with flying colors – enthralled all of our friends and family members (neighbors come over and ask if they can take him for a walk!), and has earned the reputation as being the best method for clearing a field of wild geese or a beach of pesky seagulls in about 20 seconds.  In the winter, his favorite job is snow and ice removal.  As soon as he sees his “dad” with the snow shovel, he’s ready for action.

Wyatt is like big dog in a small package.  He is curious and brave, he is always up for a hike, a jog or a doggie play date, and his evening ritual is playing fetch with a toy donut, a soft bone or a stuffed bird.  We often ask ourselves “where did Wyatt come from?”  Well, we know the answer to that but really, I think the stars were aligned and we found each other.  He is the most perfect fit for us and I think Wyatt feels the same.

    AT LAST, AT LAST!

I am tickled to introduce our latest stud hopeful!  Please welcome Labradoodle Corral's DUCKIE MALLARD at ADNE!

This little miniature phantom abstract will grow to about 18 lbs. and has a silky, gently curling coat and sweet temperament.  His name is from the popular NCIS show's brilliant doctor and I sure hope the little bugger will be as bright and delightful as the character he is named after.

His guardian family will be picking him up this weekend and I know he and Phineas T. Barnum will enjoy romping and wrestling together. I am beyond thrilled with this little guy who will be the newest addition to the terrific Owen family.  :+)

I was fortunate enough to have some time with Wyatt this morning.

Beth, his guardian, brought him over to my vet for an appointment. What a sweet guy - he wanted to be friends with all the dogs that were around but listened very well to his mom, who kept him focused.

He behaved beautifully for the vet techs and they all love him. His temperament is so friendly and comforting to any who pay attention to him.

Wyatt is 'Tramp' (from the Disney movie 'Lady and the Tramp' but in a different color - same type of coat and look - so adorable and easy to maintain. No tugging out mats on this boy - just a wash and wear non-shedding fur coat!

In these shots, Wyatt has not been cut for four months! Only his eyes and ears have been trimmed. Boy, is that ever a savings in grooming bills.

Wyatt is 35 lbs. of sinew and about 18 inches in height - a solid medium doodle. He has a very Lab-like conformation but is not overly brawny or thick. He has a well developed chest and perfect leg length. His saber tail is all Lab and so are his high set ears.  I love his 'old professor' like eyebrows and grizzly grey muzzle!  Wyatt is truly a wonderful and well loved companion to his guardians.

    Something's in the air.....

There is a very good chance that I may also be adding a female to the ADNE line-up. This darling female may grow to around 25 lbs. or so. Not positive yet but it is looking good.

If there is a LOCAL guardian home with a fenced yard, I would be delighted to talk with you about this potential breeding female.  I have worked with this breeder in the past and she raises wonderful, friendly doodles.  This girl is a looker for sure.  She sports a wavy fleece black and white Tuxedo pattern complete with a tiny white tip on her tail.  :+)

If all goes well, I expect to have this cutie by the end of January, ready to be placed with her guardian home. She is already named but I am keeping it a secret until I have all the ducks in a row.

ADNE is expecting a new male soon.

Hopefully, he will be coming via plane with his breeders in a couple of weeks. Of course, considering we are in the middle of a swirling snowstorm, Mother Nature may put a kink in delivery time but we are keeping our fingers crossed.

I hope to have a pic soon to share. He has a guardian home waiting for him that has one of my stud males and I am sure they will have lots of fun together as he is shown the ropes. He can't have a better guy to emulate than Phineas T. Barnum and family!
