Looks like a spring litter may be in the making!!

It appears that PHOEBE RYE is cycling and we are preparing for a possible breeding!  Diesel is my preferred stud for her which should produce a multi colored litter of black, cream and chocolate puppies with white spotting!  Both Phoebe and Diesel carry the Parti gene, so we just might get lucky - VERY exciting!  Both mates are small mediums, so I expect the puppies to mature at about 23 to 28 lbs. and present themselves to the world come March - April if all goes well.

Of course, this all depends on Mother Nature!  Stay tuned!!  Those that have sent in applications should let me know if they are interested in this possible litter.

Pics of these cuties is on the Home Page of my website.  :+)

Ahhhhh...Lucie.  What a dear.  Adorable, affectionate, silly, sweet and such a looker!  How I LOVE doodles with white splashes - I find them almost 'not real' with their stuffed teddy bear look.  :+)

Clary, Lucie's mom, would crack me up every time I saw her because her toothy grin of happiness always made me laugh out loud.

And Lucie's daddy Hobbs?  Well, if there was ever a doodle that thought he was the mayor of his town - that would be Hobbs!!  Adored by the hundreds for his social graces and impossibly cute demeanor, Hobbs is the 'attraction' to many children, as well as adults, when he travels with his daddy's giant 'blow up' party and playground equipment business.  You simply cannot beat these temperaments!!

WORDS FROM HER GUARDIAN FAMILY:

"

Sweet and friendly best describe Lucie. Lucie loves pups and people and wants to greet them all, making new friends wherever she goes.  She heads out eagerly each day on a mission to see the world, her tail curled above her, waving jauntily like a flag in the breeze.

We met Lucie in the summer of 2021 when we embarked on a search for a non-shedding dog, which was necessary due to an allergy in the family. With the high demand for canine companionship at the time, finding any dog, much less a non-allergic one, was a challenge.

Serendipitously, a friend reminded us she is a guardian home for a labradoodle sire (Hobbs), whose dam (Clary) had just had puppies. We contacted Joyce, who had a long waitlist for a regular purchase, but said she would consider us for a guardian home if she decided to keep one of Clary's puppies.

Of course, Joyce fell in love with Lucie and decided to place her for a guardianship. We fell in love with her as well, so thrilled not only to have a dog that met our requirements, but this particular beautiful & lovable pup.

You can see in Lucie's lovely demeanor that Joyce, the owner of Annabelle Doodles, does indeed breed for temperament. Trainable and eager to please, Lucie has been the perfect dog for our first-time dog owning family. We can not imagine our household without her cheerful, cuddly presence. From snuggling while a family member is reading a book, exercising with those on the move, to 'helping' clean the house, Lucie is in the thick of every activity. Always eager for adventure, she is at the door the minute we move toward it.

Life is not all play, Lucie takes her jobs very seriously, including making sure important personages do not go by our house unnoticed. Highly attuned to nuance, and sensing without actually seeing, Lucie has various responses depending on who is passing by. The UPS man, who leaves treats, is exciting; but when one of her friends is outside - she is over the moon with eagerness! A little critter, such as a squirrel, chipmunk, bird or rabbit, needs a special sort of warning as do visitors to our security-focused neighbor's house, who is thrilled

to share the skills of a watchdog next door.

Lucie especially loves children and is always gentle. She is excellent at observing cues from both children and dogs as to when the other party wants to roughhouse, and when it is time for peaceful, calm interaction.

We feel so fortunate to have such a loveable, huggable, friendly pup. We are always being told by other dog owners how lucky we are to have her – like we don't know that!

WINNIE MC PHEE'S PAGE

When the Brinkley x Diesel litter was born, I was hoping there would be a female pup that was black as night as I REALLY wanted a black female to join our home.  I was thrilled when Winnie presented herself and stole my heart with her tiny flashes of white on her chin and chest just like her daddy.  I felt this litter would have the amazing temperaments of their parents and I was right.  :+)

As a young pup, Winnie had a wonderfully gentle and sweet nature - just what I was looking for.  Her coat of silky waves was an additional bonus.

She loves to snuggle with you and her 'bushy' muzzle is in my face giving me tiny kisses every morning like a fuzzy alarm clock.  :+)

Winnie continued to impress me with her sensitivity, willingness to respect and understand her place in our doodle hierarchy and follow the rules.  She loves most dogs as her nature is to follow, not lead.  She enjoys people once she feels comfortable and safe.  I like that she is discerning and does not run up to anyone and jump on them for attention. A pet peeve of mine!!

STATS AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • DOB:  December 11, 2021 from a mating of ADNE Christie Brinkley and ADNE vin Diesel

Winnie is always willing cuddle and welcomes me to MY bed any time of the day! Her name is derived from two movies - Winnie the Pooh and Nanny Mc Phee both lovable characters like she is.

ADNE'S BELLAMY - Current Breeding Female.

An outstanding pup right from the getgo. I was thrilled with the results from the breeding of Tango Wool's Jonnie Cache of ADNE with ADNE's Hobbs. I just knew those two breeding doodles were a great match. I was not disappointed in the least! The litter had pups with beautiful phantom markings and gorgeous coat quality, but the one that tickled my fancy was a pretty, solid colored female with a coal black nose and beseeching eyes - BELLAMY! For those of you familiar with the French language 'Belle Ami' means beautiful friend - and that she is. :+)

WORDS FROM BELLAMY'S GUARDIANS:

We have been dog owners for 50+ years and always had large breed dogs but it was time to downsize. She is the perfect size - only 21 lbs. She is the sweetest and most loving girl. She loves to cuddle in our laps and watch tv or simply sleep. Bellamy gets along well with our three large cats, including a very large Maine Coon who isn't always very nice. Her best friend, however, is the chipmunk that she chases around and around in her yard. Bellamy is also very smart. She did well in obedience but LOVES agility. We think she must have springs in her legs as she loves the jumps! She is "Miss Congeniality" at the nursing home. She checks every open door and happily goes to anyone needing some TLC. At the end of the day though, she is still mommy's girl. Our home is busy with people coming and going but everyone, even those non-dog people, love Bellamy. She loves to ride. She can ride for hours and never a peep out of her. Her favorite ride is in the truck - nestled up against her Daddy. We are so blessed to have Bellamy. She is the joy of our lives.

STATS AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • DOB:  March 6, 2021 from a mating of Jonnie Cache and Hobbs (Force of Hobbit)
  • Color DNA is Bbee, Kb/Ky, at/at, S/S. Bellamy expresses a deep Apricot shade bordering Red.  She carries the Phantom gene but not the Parti gene.
  • Hips: P/H score is .34/.33 and eVet opinion is 'GOOD' with Normal Elbows and Patellae.
  • OFA Eye Certification on 3/6/21 is NORMAL.  HY-EYE5653/12F-VPI.
  • OFA Heart Certification on 3/6/21 is NORMAL/CLEAR. HY-BCA2465/12F/C-VPI.

This is why Wyatt is such a special boy.

Beth and Wyatt are surely an amazing team.  Yesterday, Wyatt, a newly 'minted' therapy boy went on his first visit to an assisted living facility and brought many smiles and comfort to the people who live there.  What a great pair he and Beth are.  There is no way to describe what a service this is to these people.

Kudos to both you for all the time invested to provide such joy and comfort to so many in such a humble, generous and kindly manner.

PHOEBE RYE'S PAGE

When Brinkley was mated to Emmett and the litter was born, I just knew that Phoebe was going to be my pick to add to the Annabelle Doodle breeding program.  I was not disappointed.  When a local family contacted me for a pet and decided to be guardians, I felt I hit the lottery!  Living barely, three miles from me, Phoebe has a huge yard, doting guardians plus two loving, engaging, busy young ladies to coddle with her every day.  Add a dog loving cat to the mix and you have the perfect life.  :+)

Phoebe was an exceptional puppy and has continued to be a wonderful addition to her guardian family.

Words from her guardians:

'Phoebe Rye joined out family in November 2020 and she has been the light of our life and center of attention ever since! She is exactly what our family needed.  During a challenging year, Phoebe brought pure joy to our home.  She is happy, loving and gentle and she is an extraordinary snuggler.  When we leave the house or come back home, she is always waiting at the window for us. She throws the best parties when we open the door and is beyond excited to greet visitors.  She is super smart, food motivated and eager to please.  She loves to have her belly rubbed, do tricks for treats and to sit on the back of the couch to look outside and observe everything.  She is always around us and enjoys meeting and playing with new people and dogs.  She is easy going and shares her toys and food happily with dogs and cats!!

Phoebe and our cat, Piper, have become best friends and love to wrestle, play outside and be side by side.  Phoebe frequently drops her ball at Piper's feet for him to throw it to her (unfortunately, he hasn't figured out how to throw it yet)! She is incredibly agile and fast.  She LOVES to run, play ball and bring it right back where she drops it right at our feet or on our laps.  She could play ball ALL day long.  She never tires of it, but she also listens and stops when we ask her to.  She is great at self entertaining and she is content to be chilling at home, sleeping in on the weekends or going for a car ride.  Phoebe loves to swim in a pond, go to the beach, play outside in the sun or in the snow in her snowsuit.  She could frolic in the snow all day long if we let her.

Phoebe is a beautiful dog who has the most stunning eyes, sweet face and soft, silky fur.  We always say that her face is so gorgeous that it could launch a thousand ships - just like Helen of Troy! She is complemented wherever she goes.  She is about 24 pounds, strong, compact and simply perfect. I am allergic to dogs and did quite a bit of research and was thrilled to see that Joyce (who I've known since I was a kid) breeds Labradoodles.  I have never had a reaction to Phoebe and she does not shed AT ALL. We are grateful to Joyce for offering us the opportunity to be guardians when we were looking for a pup.

Phoebe is the best of the best!

STATS and CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Date of Birth: 9/14/20. A mating of TW Emmett Piccolo and Christy Brinkley.  Both parents are non shedding
  • Size/Color/Coat - Approximately 17 inches in height.  Weighs roughly 24 pounds and has a cream, soft fleece coat that is non shedding.  Her DNA color stats are:  Bbee, Kb/Kb, S/Sp.

Wyatt's babies with Tessie from Sweet Tea Labradoodles!

Late this summer, Wyatt Slurp had a date with Sweet Tea's darling girl, Tessie from Virginia.  What a great match up they were and their mating produced a litter of tempting chocolates and creamy nougats!  Only males are available but if you are looking and don't mind picking up your sweetie in Boston, you should check out Sweet Tea's website.  Here is the link:   https:/www.sweetteadoodles.com/  Rozlynn will make arrangements with anyone interested in getting a pup from this litter.  Please feel free to contact her with any questions, etc.  They will be mediums with 'to die for' personalities!

If you highlight the link above - go to Current Litters and you will see the bunch.  They have the distinctive litter name of 'Maine Destination'.  :+)

Here is one of the kiddos with a pup.  The entire litter will have lots of handling for sure!

We have gone home to our new, wonderful families! Elsie3 x Duckie Litter

The day arrived for our happy families! Soooo exciting! As usual, I went through their puppy booklets, signed contracts, answered questions and then took some pics. It was pretty short but sweet! It will always be a learning curve when you bring a pup into your home but it also provides lots of laughter, entertainment and joy. Nothing is cuter than the antics of a pup! One family has three dog savvy cats and one is already rubbing against their new pup - a wonderful sign of acceptance of a new playmate. :+). Let's hope that the puppy 'potty' stage goes well and training will be begin on a positive note. Start now to mold your pup into a well behaved adult! Have a happy and healthy journey into the next 12 to 14+ years!! :+)

Lola B. with Ken and Mellinda.

Emma with Joan and Joe (picked up on Thursday due to a long travel day).

Luc and Jennifer with Violet.

Mike and John with Cookie.

The gang that came on Saturday to bring their pups home.
What a great photo of all of you!!!  :+)

The Elsie3 x Duckie Litter had their last ride to the vets this afternoon.

As usual, they were great in the car with no mishaps. :+) As soon as I walked into my vets, techs came out to each hold a pup to carry to the room. Lots of loves and pats for all. After each exam check for temp, weight, ears, eyes, patellae, flea check and heart they were given the Distemper and Parvo-virus shot. Then they received their microchip insertion. Each one did a squeak with the microchip but forgave everyone when offered a piece of pepperoni. All did super well and came home for a nap. Thanks to those who have read and signed the SpaySecure contracts - it is appreciated! At the end of the week, all pups will have a bath and pack their bags to be HOME BOUND! :+)

We are EIGHT WEEKS old and getting ready for our new homes next week! (ELSIE3 X DUCKIE)

Oh boy, a lot of our appointments are now behind this litter with one exception - their vaccines on Monday!  Their bags are nearly packed for their new owners, paperwork is being prepared for their take home booklets and they have been assigned, accepted and named!

Here are these little darlings this week:

LOLA B. Assigned to the Abbott household where she will enjoy all the attention.  Lola may also have the opportunity to visit her owner's office often.  No one will get any work done
wanting to cuddle this bundle of curls!  5 1/4 lbs.

VIOLET is like her namesake (a bit shy) and will be with a savvy, dog experienced home where she will gain confidence and thrive.  Thank you Jennifer and Luc!  5 3/4 lbs.

Oh the fun the Cook Family will have with their latest addition - COOKIE!  I am sure
Pumpkin and Cookie will keep the family laughing and busy!  6 3/4 lbs.

And little EMMA will get tons of snuggles and pats from the Davis' who will
enjoy Emma's sweet, gentle and adorable demeanor.  4 1/2 lbs.

Remember to read the contract, get your homes puppy proofed (wires up and covered) and be ready to spend a couple of nights with puppy whining.  This is to be expected and normal.  Get the food for your pup - FROMMS GOLD PUPPY in the pink bag or The Honest Kitchen - turkey or chicken.  I give both to the pups combined as I like feeding them both a wet 'oatmeal' type 'raw' food and a kibble together.  They have done well on both of them.    See all of you soon!  :+)

Wednesday, August 24, 2022

Off for another appointment today! Elsie3 x Duckie Litter.

This afternoon, the pups enjoyed their travels to the Port City Vet Referral Hospital in Portsmouth, NH.  They all had an appointment with the eye vet to be sure there was no eye issues that could be a vision issue in their future.

Naturally, the staff flocked to gather them up into their arms for cuddles and kisses - it never fails.  :+)  They were so good in the car once again and enjoyed their adventure today.  All are good!  No eye disease that will ever impair their vision in the future.

They just crack me up when they do this.  It stops everyone in their tracks as they come over  to 'oooh and ahhhh' over them - such people magnets!

Temperament Test Day! Elsie3 x Duckie

Up early and had the pups fed, outside for potty, inside for a brushing, nail & eye trim and into my 'pup prepared' vehicle.  They were excellent riders for the hour long drive.

Once there, I placed them into my collapsable pen (when not in use) and nary a sound was made when the first pup went for her test.  I keep the pups in my trainers garage where it is cool.  :+)

All in all, the pups did very well and slept all the way home.  A good day!!

TEAL GIRL:

Once placed in the room, Teal happily greeted Judy with a wagging tail and lots of curiosity.  She navigated the room and all the different 'tools' like a sailor on a ship.

I think playing 'fetch' is going to be a game that Teal will enjoy very much.  :+)

VIOLET GIRL:
Violet enjoyed playing with the 'prey drive' tool and has a very soft mouth.  She also played with balls
gently and brought them back to Judy to toss again.  She always laid back down to wait for Judy to play toss again - Violet enjoys a close relationship with people.

Violet waiting patiently while Judy pats and  massages her before tossing the ball.

CORAL GIRL:
Coral thought the Singing Santa was for her entertainment and enjoyed listening.  She is very
able to handle lots of different sounds and environments.

Yup, Coral marched into the strange environment, pranced right up to Judy and seemed to say....
'So, what do you want to do?'

RUBY GIRL:

Ruby wants to be by her people.  She LOVES people over all things - treats, toys, etc.

Judy 'sits', Ruby sits and focuses on Judy.  Very compliant.  Judy is encouraging Ruby to investigate the tin on the floor which Ruby was a bit scared of but overcame her initial fear and went up to it.  Good girl!!

Saturday, August 20, 2022

I'm late, I'm late for a very important date....... Elsie 3 x Duckie Litter at 7 weeks!

A take from Alice and Wonderland but it fit my day!

Our grand-daughters continue to entertain the pups daily (as well as keep me busy).  :+)  Numerous belly rubs abound along with lots of pony tail chewing and 'toe' sampling!

My Temperament Test was changed to Tuesday this week, so I am hoping the write ups will be sent to me by the weekend (or with any luck at all - earlier).  On Wednesday, the pups go for their eye exams in the afternoon.  On the 29th, they have their vaccines, Health Certificates and Microchips.  Busy days ahead!

Ruby Collar is 4 lbs.

Violet Collar weighs 5 1/4 lbs.

Teal Collar is 4 3/4 lbs.

and Chunky Monkey Coral tips the scales at 6 lbs!

I do want to mention that I weighed the pups right after they had a good dinner, so the numbers may be a tad 'padded'.  :+)

Just because these are soooo cute!! Elsie(3) x Duckie litter

Our grand-daughters will be leaving soon and the highlight of their day is to visit with the puppies.  They are here nearly every day and always look forward to giving the pups lots of attention.

Just thought I would share.

Miss Teal having a serious conversation.

Two armfuls of sweetness!

Can the smile be any brighter?

Our girls will be gone at about the same time the pups are being picked up.  So glad they have had the pleasure of enjoying this litter grow up.  Thank you to their father, Joshua, for sending these pics!

SIX WEEKS PICS ARE UP! (Elsie x Duckie Litter)

Yea!  I can hardly believe it - I finally was able to get pics up in the morning!!   The pups all had eye and nail trims and were pretty darn good about being cooperative during our photo session.  Something must be in the air!  :+)

'So, where are we going shopping today?'  Teal Girl at 3 3/4 lbs.

'Home Depot?  Awwww... I was hoping for T.J. Maxx.' Ruby at 3 1/8 lbs.

'Oh goodie!  Let's go!'  Coral Girl is 4 1/4 lbs.

'Can we stop at Pet Smart for a new toy?  Please?'  Violet Girl is 4 lbs.

By the way, Elsie went home with her guardians yesterday.  She spent some time playing with her babies beforehand but was delighted to be with her family.  She happily pranced to their car for her 'happy place' = a car ride!!  The pups did not miss a beat.

Thank you Elsie (and family) for making Elsie's career with ADNE a great experience.  It is truly appreciated.  :+)

FIVE WEEKS and being introduced to the outside pup pen! Elsie3 x Duckie Litter

A few days ago, I was sanitizing the outside pup pen to get it ready for the current litter.  Today, it was not too hot to put them in the pen for the first time.  Initially, they were rather scared and upset but before long, they had found their comfort zone.

Saturdays are such busy days around here.  I always try to get the pics up in the morning but having four grand-daughters here all day makes for limited computer time!

I should mention that one of the girls below is available for a home due to a change of plans from the original buyer.  I don't know which one it will be yet as assignments have not been made, but if you are open to any of them, please send in an application!  :+)

Here are some pics below:

Some of my grand-daughters entertaining the pups in the pup room with Elsie supervising.

Miss Teal Girl sitting pretty.  3 1/4 lbs.

Miss Violet is picture perfect!  3 3/4 lbs.

I had to wake up Miss Coral to take her pic but she was very accommodating.  4 lbs.

Miss Ruby is enjoying the view from the pseudo rock.  2 3/4 lbs.

The pups exploring their outdoor 'digs'.

First visitors!!

This morning our grand-daughters returned from a week away and could not wait to visit with Elsie's pups!  The pups did very well and are looking forward to another visit later today when they return from summer camp.

I sure hope all the families getting one of these pups will visit as often as possible!  In the meantime, I am sure our grand-daughters will keep them entertained!  :+)

As you can see, Elsie has to be included in the mix.  She loves to be the center of attention!!

Also, the pups had their first milk mix meal this morning!  They are on the way to their next growth stage!

ELSIE'S LITTER IS FOUR WEEKS!

Now that the pups are walking, seeing and hearing, it is time to begin scheduling visits.  Although I prefer weekdays, I can typically accommodate some weekends as well.

Soon, they will be going to the small outside pen to enjoy the fresh air and to become more familiar with our small farms noises and smells and also the sounds of nature.  It is always a learning curve around here.  :+)

This is Coral Girl.  She weighs 3 1/4 lbs.

Violet Girl weighs 3 lbs.

Ruby is at 2 1/2 lbs.

Teal girl is at 2 1/2 lbs also.

I also wanted to share some pictures of Winnie playing with the pups.
