Tomorrow, Elsie goes in for her x-ray.

This little girl looks quite round.  Can't wait to see how many might be in there!

She looks a bit 'full', don't you think?

Gunny offers comfort.

Poor Carl had a headache this morning so was taking it easy with a cold compress on his forehead.  Gunny thought he needed some comforting.

Gunny is a combination of 'contrary and comfort'.  Adorable little mite!  Carl is so smitten with her.

A quick update on my latest Guardian Home placement - Force of Hobbit!

I am a fortunate woman, my Guardian Home Families are amazing!  When I placed this little guy, I just knew it was a match made in heaven.  Look at these pics.

Can you find Hobbs?

Yes, opposites attract.

Now, when you see little Hobbs with this giant Mastiff named 'Brick', your eyes pop, right?  When Hobbs first met Brick, he was soooooo frightened!  He shook, howled and was downright scared to bits.  As a group, we all stood together outdoors while I sometimes held Hobbs and other times put him down to investigate his new surroundings.  The guardian dad, held Brick so he could not chase Hobbs.  The trick was to let Hobbs feel more comfortable to go to Brick on his own, which he eventually did.  Once that connection was made, we all went into the house together as a unit.  Once inside, Hobbs was 'right at home' and did awesome.

Today, you are witness to their relationship - they are best buds.  :+).

It is critically important that introductions be done properly which is why I insist on all my buyers having a trainer lined up so that their pup learns to overcome obstacles that could otherwise cripple them.  The benefits far outweigh the time and effort involved as the pic above illustrates.  :+)

And for a little boasting, I am told Hobbs goes to the door for potty and puts himself in his crate every evening all by his little ol' self!  They have had him for about two weeks!

Elsie enjoying a warm fire on a chilly day.

I love it when my guardian takes an impromptu picture and shares it with me.  Doesn't this just take the cake?  Miss Elsie's belly is beginning to swell and isn't it just great to have a gentle hand massaging this prego lady.  I bet her sweet puppies are enjoying the moment as well.  :+)

Elsie's litter.

This mating has the very distinct possibility of having several (if not all) expressing the phantom pattern.  Duckie is a chocolate/tan phantom and Elsie, who is actually a 'hidden' phantom has the correct pattern DNA code.  This is one of the reasons I test for DNA color - it allows me to make mating decisions to produce some unique and interesting expressions.

It will be so interesting to see how many will be black and tan (my personal favorite).  There will not be any chocolate/tan combos because Elsie does not carry the chocolate gene (b).  There could be some apricot/whites but we will have to wait until she has her babies.

DAISY X THADDEUS LITTER are all home.

Today, the last two pick ups arrived and the house seems empty.  I am so use to peeking into the pup room numerous times a day that I have to re-train myself to NOT do it.

As promised, here are the ten happy owners who have joined the ADNE family.  :+)

GINGER (Purple Girl) Carr

ZOE (Black Collar) St. Hilaire

DOLLY JOY (Fudge Collar) D'Anello

MOLLY (Pink Collar) Ksander

ADNE'S FORCE OF HOBBIT aka HOBBS with his guardian family.  (Green Collar)

SHADOW (Red Collar) Cole-Frecker

BAILEY (Orange Collar) Schmitt

ANNIE MONTOYA (Yellow Collar) McCarte

I wish you all well with training, feeding and potty time!  It WILL be a challenge but well worth the time, energy and love invested.  💗

This is too cute not to post.

Green Boy known as 'Force of Hobbit' aka HOBBS went to his guardian home yesterday.  When we visited to see how Hobbs would do, their sweet, gentle Mastiff, Brick, wanted to be Hobbs' friend in the worse way but Hobbs was scared to death of him!  We took our time and let them get to know each other outdoors and eventually, Hobbs realized Brick was indeed a dog and seemed to recover from his fear.

We then went indoors where Hobbs felt right at home.  This is the video I received :

Please copy it and watch.  So cute.

I might add there are also two Jack Russell Terriers and three teenage boys - plus five horses and lots of land and a very interesting barn.  Hobbs has his very own playground!

FAMILY PICS WILL BE POSTED ON SAT. MARCH 9th! (Daisy x Thaddeus)

I had a couple of necessary delays for pick ups, so will post the entire group on the above date.  So keep watching!

'Shadow' will be a wonderful companion to his new owners.  Both looking forward to having a new best friend after losing their Lab last year.

The second group at the vets today! (Daisy x Thaddeus)

Back at the vets early this morning and this time with the last group for surgery!

I decided to take a pic of them before they go in for the procedure to show you how social and happy they are with Dr. Chapin and the vet tech.  Such a great crew at Broadview Animal Hospital.  :+)

All smiles.  :+)

Here they are after their surgeries in the pen at home.  All had a solid feeding, some went potty and now they are settling down.  Red Collar Boy (Shadow) has a soft, homemade, wide collar to prevent him from licking his neuter site.
