Capi goes home in style.

On Friday, Capi was waiting for his family to arrive.  We had brushed, combed and trimmed him up so that he would look his best.

Mark and Max arrived early and after going through all the paperwork, playing, talking, we took our family photo.

Settled in the back seat with his new 'big brother Max,' Capi's adventure begins.  He can't wait to meet up with his big sis, Lily and new mom, Robin.   What a way to travel, Capi!!

A day in the pool! (Capi and friends...)

Capi is very good at going down the stairs.  Hubby is there just in case!
Capi loves the water and is going out to greet Annabelle.

Willis is after her ball, Capi is after Willis and Annabelle is a diversion.  :+)

Oh boy!  Capi is full of energy after a dip!
Although Annabelle got the pool toy, Capi stole it and dashed ahead.
Time to dry off in the pine needles and leaves!!!
Definitely enjoying himself.
Waddaya mean, 'I look like a bush!'  :+)

Capriccio at 7 months. Updated!.

Capi is approximately 19 inches tall.  Expected height is 21 inches.
Expected weight is 35 to 40 lbs.
Au naturale!  He was not combed or clipped.
This boy continues to exhibit perfect body conformation.
Olive (front) and Capi are great friends.

Here is Capi all groomed and clipped.  What an easy coat to keep.
If a mat developes, it is very easy to brush and break apart.  He is excellent on the grooming table.

Update on August 19th:  As Capi remains here, I will continue his training.  We are now working on a long lead for proper leash walking.  I do three sessions per day to teach him that being next to me is far better than investigating the world around him.  This is a very positive approach that allows him to make 'good choices'.  Once he decides that walking close to me is a 'good place', I will add distractions to further enrich good focus.  My goal is that he focuses properly when on leash and does not lunge or try to 'water' every blade of grass.  A walk is for exercise and enjoyment not a wild race down the avenue!  A swim in our pool was Capi's additional reward for showing improvement on our second session today.  He is a happy and tired boy right now - as it should be.

Capi is very people oriented and wants to please.  He responds very well to yummy treats but cuddling him is his greatest reward.  :+)

Update on August 28th:   Capi will be leaving with his guardian family this coming Friday.  Perseverance has paid off and a family with older, active children, a fenced yard, a love of water and dog experience visited this past Sunday and will add Capriccio to their household.  We are all so pleased!  :+)

Capi is groomed, clipped and ready for a guardian family..

Capi showing off his new trim.
He seems to be waiting for something, doesn't he?
Capi is looking for a guardian family with dog experience.  He is smart
and willing to please but requires a dedicated leader.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY! (Added pics).

At the romp, I had given out a gift bag with a few items.  One of them was a Fourth of July scarf.  I asked for pics if they were used and here are some that were sent in.

I could not believe how big most of my pups were at the romp!  Just goes to show that DNA from grandparents and great, great grandparents really do play a huge part in size.    Enjoy.

Riley can't JUST wear the scarf...she needs sunglass bling too!  :+)

Felix looking dapper in his scarf.

Noodles smiles for the camara in a big way!
Augie and Smitty looking good in their new duds!

Cappy is almost 6 months now and such a dear!

Cappy is growing so beautifully.  Solid boning and great conformation.  :+)
His amazing fleece coat is lush and just blows in the summer breezes.
His eyes are so soft and soulful.
Cappy is the whole package - gentle personality, a willing learner and gorgeous.

Olive has the ball but Cappy has his eye on it to steal it back!  They love to play together.

Cappy, Capi, Cappi - leads to Capriccio!

No matter the spelling or the 'nicknames', Cappy (I like this spelling the best) continues to be such an awesome pup.  He gets along with all my girls so very well and is giving them lots of opportunities to play chase, fetch and tug.  He is, however, a sock thief!  He and Willis are constantly searching and sharing them - (only the used ones, of course!)  :+)

Yes, we continue to look for that special guardian home as Cappy deserves an amazing one with a large yard; and perhaps a place for swimming nearby.  A furry friend to be his buddy would be a bonus!  I know we are asking for a 'golden egg' situation, but why not?

Cappy is extremely stable and would  do quite well in a city environment with all the noise and hustle 'n' bustle of one, but we much prefer a more rural placement where woods, field, shoreline and space abound.

A social boy, he gets along with dogs, adults and children beautifully and would be a fabulous companion to any family wanting a furry friend.

I am registering Cappy for puppy class beginning June 12th, as continued learning is important for a well mannered pet.  This is the kind of pup that would make an AMAZING therapy dog.  He has it all.

Cappy sits for me without wiggling when I harness him for car rides or put on his leash; he waits calmly at the bottom of the stairs when I ask; does not bark unless prompted by an unusual noise; lies quietly by your side when I am reading or on the computer and uses our dogie door routinely, with just a few mistakes - so well on his way to house training.

He is crate trained for the evening from 11 PM to 6 or 7 AM.  Cappy loves to cuddle but is not 'needy' or 'anxious'.  He is not an obsessive licker but willingly gives kisses.  His coat is soft, silky, luxurient and non-shedding.

This is a strong medium sized boy with a sturdy conformation and unwavering temperament.  He has a valuable pedigree and a healthy family tree history.  We expect that Cappy will produce some wonderful puppies for responsible breeders to enhance the future of the Labradoodle community.  Finding him a guardian with those same values is our goal and we welcome inquiries and visits.

Capi and I go to Dog Mountain!

Me with one of my boys who joined us on the trip!
After all his swimming, fetching, running and climbing, Capi takes a break.

Capi LOVES the water!  One of his many entries of the day.
He waits for me to catch up as we climb to the top of the knoll for a spectacular view!

This shows some of the people, dogs and the dog pond.

The gallery building is delightful inside.

Capi sits with carvings done by the late Stephen Huneck who created Dog Mountain.
It is open to the public at no cost but donations are appreciated.
Posted by PicasaIt was a wonderful weekend of visits to St. Johnsbury for lunch outdoors, dog friendly artisan shopping and enjoying the fabulous weather.  The Inn at Maplemont in Barnet, Vt. is an earthy bed and breakfast that is so dog friendly, providing comfortable beds, with a relaxed atmosphere and exceptional service.

Capi, as expected, was a wonderful and polite guest and made lots of new four-legged and two-legged friends.
