Clary's litter is happy to celebrate The Fourth of July soon!

We are back!!  Unfortunately, my Blogger had a glitch for a few days and my son, Joshua was able to fix it.  Thanks so much, Josh!  :+)

I am so glad to have it back and functioning!  Although I did manage to send pics of the pups to the potential pup owners of this litter individually, I like to keep things orderly, so am reposting the three week pics and weights here.  :+)

Blue Collar Male - 2 1/2 lbs.

Green Collar Male - 2 1/2 lbs.

Black Collar Female - 2 1/4 lbs.

Miss Jade has a home.

Jade will be about 30 lbs. +/- at maturity.  She has a wavy, non shedding coat that will be easy to maintain and an engaging personality.  My trainer that assesses all my pups expressed the following:

  • Jade is a fun, confident puppy who will easily approach and greet your guests.  She is a sniffer and very playful and will be a great addition to any family.
  • She is very trainable and is not sensitive to sound.
  • Jade is nosey - she loves to smell her environment including critters, kids, bikes and the like so a close eye on her with a leash on is a necessity until well trained.
  • Games like fetch, ball chasing, nose work or tracking would be right up Jade's alley.
  • My trainer is not an advocate for dog parks or dog day care as she feels most of them do not do diligence with watching dog behaviors.  One bad experience with a dominant or aggressive dog could make any pup leash aggressive in a blink.  So, use good judgement.  It is not that you can't go, it is much preferred that a one on one greeting with a calm, friendly dog would curtail any bad 'pack' greetings.
  • Jade likes other dogs and would do well with a friendly canine partner.
Any of my Wait List applicants should contact me asap if you are interested and would like to chat.  At this time, Jade is not available for anyone that has NOT already sent me in an application.  Thanks.

Jade is staying with her original assignment.  :+)

Ugh! I am a day late and many dollars short! (BRINKLEY X DIESEL LITTER - WEEK 8)

I apologize for the delay in posting pics but yesterday was a blaze of activity!  The pups are doing EXTREMELY well with no complaints after the surgeries.  They are really TOO happy!  They want to run around and do agility, I think!  They are in the small pen in the pup area and want to get out.  They need to remain there so that they don't open incisions with rough play.  It is the very worse time of the entire experience here.  They feel so good that it is tough for them, and me, to keep them from running off steam.

They were wonderful at the vets and four of the vet techs brought them out in their arms and people simply milled about admiring them.  It was adorable.  :+)

Unfortunately, I am still waiting for the last write up from my trainer.  I will not assign until I have all of them before calling each of you.   It is the way it is - I too, get antsy.  :+)

On another note, for those who have not paid in full, the balance is now due.  I will contact you separately.  :+)

Get ready for your lives to get busy!  :+)

Also today, it is Clary's litter - WEEK TWO!

Happily, I was able to get their pics taken and loaded.  All they really do is eat and sleep, so not much to report except they seem to be healthy, gaining and crawling about.  All good!  Clary is a good momma so, for now, she is doing all the work.  As long as I am feeding Clary, she is feeding her pups. We make a good team.  :+)

All of them have opened their eyes but cannot really focus yet.  It will be interesting to see if any of them will have blue in their eyes like Clary does.  Her last litter produced a lovely male with the brightest blue eyes ever.  He was so handsome!

The pigment on their noses will take more time to develop.  By about 3 weeks of age, they should all fill in.  Many breeders associate the puppy weights with 'mature weights'.  A general rule is 'if their weight is below their age in weeks, they will be smaller (around 25 lbs.); if equal (2 wks/2 lbs.) - they will be about 30 lbs.; and if above that marker around 34  +/- lbs.  It is not perfect but it gives you an idea.

Brown Collar Male at 2 weeks is 1 lb., 6 ozs.

Blue Collar Male at 2 weeks is 1 lb., 14 ozs.

Green Collar Male at 2 weeks is ... chubby!  He weighs 2 lbs, 1 oz!

Teal Collar Female at 2 weeks is 1 lb., 13 ozs.

Red Collar Male at two weeks is almost there at 1 lb., 15 ozs.

Pink Female at two weeks is 1 lb., 13ozs.

Black Female at two weeks is 1 lb. 12 ozs.

The Brinkley x Diesel litter had visitors this week!

They loved being able to run around the pup play-yard and entertain their company.  All were willing to be patted, held, belly rubbed and cuddled.  See for yourself!

Thank you Espinola family for coming over and visiting!!

Jade says 'Come again soon!!'

We also had the the Bell family visit earlier this past week and they could not believe how big the pups grew since their last visit!

Today, the pups are going in for their first vaccines and a Health Certificate.  They are outside playing with Gabriel.  Hopefully, they will have done potty before I load them in the car!!

I have a puppy available! UPDATE: SOLD

Unfortunately, one of the buyers for a pup from the Brinkley x Diesel litter has had to move to a different litter due to timing.

If anyone on my Waitlist is interested, please contact me via email privately.  I have been reaching out to my list of people but it is a long process to wait for answers - especially during the summer when so many are out and about.  So, I decided to simply open it up to everyone who has sent in an application.

Per my website, I assign your puppy based on what you wrote on your application which is why I will not be accepting any NEW applications for this pup.  The pick up date is JULY 2ND - A FRIDAY!  I know it is a tough time to add a new pup to your family given that it is a holiday weekend.

If any of you show interest, payment, in full, will be required.  I have two males and two females.  Check out their pics here on the AnnaBlog.  All will be mediums ranging from about 30 to 40 lbs. at maturity.

Please email me privately at:  joycetabor@gmail.com

Can you believe it - SEVEN WEEKS already! (Brinkley x Diesel)

Since the weather has been rather nice, the pups are outside in their pen most of the day.  They get fed out there as well.  Several times, I let them out of their 'safe' pen and let them run around the full pup play-yard with Gabriel.  They just love it.  Gabe really tires them out and they are happy to go back into the smaller pen for a rest.  (Gabe takes a rest too.)

Here they are ready to come out and romp, wrestle and run!

I could not figure out where I wanted to take their pics this morning and tried several places and finally decided on the Playskool slide.  At least it had a flat area to try and get them to sit - not always an easy thing to do!!

They are a lovely bunch of pups and people who have visited want to 'take them all'!  I am always so happy to hear this as I know any of them will be a great addition to their home.  :+)

We made it through the first week! CLARY X HOBBS

Happily, all is going splendidly for the first week with Clary and her pups.  The pups are gaining weight each day and Clary is eating well and producing nutritious milk for her babes.

Clary is also very easy to get along with and her constant smiles make my day!  She gets out for romps around the yard and investigates our chickens, pigs and other stuff.  She enjoys lying on our deck in the sunshine with our other doodles as I drink my tea in the morning.  All is good.  :+)

Their little eyes and ears will begin to open the next time I share pics of them with you next Monday.

SIX WEEKS and counting down! BRINKLEY X DIESEL LITTER

What a difference in temperatures!  Today, I was wearing pants and a long sleeved shirt.  Thankfully, it was cool enough for me to get most of the cut tree branches out of our pool area - almost done!!

The pups watch me go back and forth over and over as they could see me through the fence slats.  I think I kept them entertained.  :+)

Gabriel, on the other hand, gets his exercise by trying to interact with them in their small pen.  Many times he either grabs one of their toes or their nose if they put them outside the fence holes.  Sometimes I wonder who is entertaining whom?  Either way, they get their exercise!

Here are the six week pics!

MR. BRUNO is 7 1/2 lbs today!  What an armload!

MISS AMBER is 6 3/4 lbs. of happy energy.

MISS JADE'S face says it all - PLEASE get me out of this pail.  6 1/2 lbs.

Well...CHIP, who weighs 7 1/4 lbs. just wanted to duck into the pail and hide!  It took several tries
to finally get one of his face - barely! Such a big baby.

A couple of pics of the Clary x Hobbs litter.

Here are just a couple of litter pics of this adorable group!  Individual pics will come when they are one week of age.  No visits until they are 4 weeks of age.

Five of these pups have a pattern like their mom and two of them are mostly solid with a patch of white on them.

Holy Moly - Life is keeping us hopping!

For a number of years I have wanted to have the Locust tree in our pool area taken down - well, it happened on 6/6/21 and there is a huge mess to clean up!  We knew many of the branches would fall into the puppy pen, so all the equipment had to be removed and placed elsewhere and the small pup pen had to be taken down, etc.  It is a good thing we did because it looked like a tsunami went through it!  Our friend, who did the cutting, warned us of the mess so we knew what we were in for.  It will be cleared in a few more days.  I am anxious to get Brinkley's pups back into the small outdoor pen as they enjoy the space, sun and fresh air!

Then today, Clary began whelping around 8 am!  So, nothing got done outside but inside a new litter of darling tuxedos were born.  Pics coming at some point!

This past weekend is when my husband's poultry business began and unfortunately his 'dipping tank' fell apart so instead of helping with the branches and such, he will be reconstructing the water tank all week!  I AM thankful that whelping day was during the daytime; that Clary did a terrific job and is a good mommy and hubby and I can still manage all the drama and work a 'Homestead' entails.  God has blessed us with this life.  💓

Yes, there ARE five week pics! (Brinkley x Diesel Litter)

So much to do in one day, I often prepare a list to keep me on track but an appt. in the morning and the afternoon kind of puts a kink in the timeline!  Anyway, it is done and here they are for you to enjoy.  :+)

They were in their small puppy pen for most of the afternoon as it was not raining here.  It did rain during the night but that just keeps the turf cool for them on these muggy days with more to come!  Tomorrow, they will remain in the puppy room with A/C running as we are having a tree cut down in their area and we will be contending with that mess for few days!
