Greetings!
So much happens between the second and third week. I typically begin thinking of moving the pups and setting up different configurations to accommodate the constant changes of the litter. Initially, they start off in the pool until the development of the pups show me they are ready for a 'new space'.
They are starting to move pretty readily now and needed to have their 'living room' and 'bathroom' designations.
Once they are done nursing with Harriet, they really try to wobble to their bathroom area. As shown, some stay napping and others partake of the milk. :+)
It seems no one is sleeping when their 'gourmet' meals are prepared and served. They are really into our Simply Poultry and formula mix.
No matter which meal they enjoy the most, their contentment shows. :+)
Let's begin with some small group pics of the darlings along with their weights beginning with
#3 parti girl at 1.12 lbs. and #4 black girl at 1.13 lbs.
Black pigment girl #5 is 2.5 lbs. and #6 girl with liver pigment is 1.14 lbs.
The surprise buff and chalk parti girl has liver pigment and is 2 lbs. even.
Talk about a size difference - #7 male is 2.9 lbs. and his chocolate brother is 1.10 lbs.
This duo is black #8 at 2.6 lbs. and light cream/liver pigment #2 at 2.8 lbs. Good size boys!
All the pictures on all the posts are so precious and heartwarming. Thank you, Joyce, for the pictures, the comments and information, and for helping us to feel a part of the process.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to all.
Barbara
I am so pleased that you enjoy them. I love sharing the experience of breeding and all its 'faces'. It is not a glorious 'hobby' but it sure brings me a lot of pleasure and pride. :+)
