I just received this link: http://www.zendogtraining.net/our-trainers/elissa-carreras/ from a pet owner who claims this trainer is remarkable for families with children in the Boston area. So, I will continue to add links to this label in hopes my future and existing clients who require services in this area will check it out.
Thank you Amy for sharing!
Hi Joyce! Elissa gave us the tools to help us communicate with Finn so he knows what we want; good things happen when he does them (praise and treats). We were having a tough time getting through to him with housebreaking. He is now on a routine that rotates through going outside, training/playing/exercise, meals/water, and 2-3 hours to rest in his crate with a project like a frozen stuffed Kong. Family members keep track of his routine with a chart. He used to bark and cry in his crate and she taught us to dissuade him from doing that in a very humane way.
ReplyDeleteThe other thing that we have loved is learning how to teach him to meet new people and dogs without jumping and barking. It's a work in progress but it is now a fun project and not stressful.
This is great, Amy! I hope lots of future customers read this thread and take advantage of checking out Elissa's link for help and training.
