It was quite the undertaking. Bad weather for the greater part of April hindered the process greatly, but it is complete and I am so grateful it is DONE!
This was the space we were converting from mud and weeds to a new play-yard with artificial grass for the pups.
A couple of months later, lots of digging, sore muscles and determination, we have this new space. The pups are loving it as the rest of these pics show.
They ran around so much, they slept very, very well.
They ran like this for over an hour.
This is what they needed so badly - lots of running to expend that energy!
It is safe, clean, can be disinfected and provides a stimulating area for our doodles. :+)
Bacchi anyone??? :+)
Joyce, I just love seeing the floppy ears of the pups while they are running! What a fantastic place for them to play :)
ReplyDeleteVERY cute little tugboat, and your comments are so funny :)
Thanks for posting so much today!
I just LOVE watching them play out there. You have no idea how much fun they are having. :+)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful play space! I second the thanks for posting so many pictures today. What fun! We just got a little pool for Albert and his little person Pippa. They have been loving it, especially with those 90 degree days we had ...in May! Ugh. It took a little coaxing (and some lifting by mama me) to get Albert in at first, but once in, his love of the water took over. Now his new favorite game is "bobbing for tennis balls!"
ReplyDeleteWe're kind of sad this little crew is heading home soon - the photos have been so fun. We'll have to practice patience, waiting for the next litter to arrive :-)
I believe you are my biggest fan!
ReplyDeleteActually, I was very pleased to see that both Chaplin and Hazel, my two guardian home candidates, love the water. :+) They will be here longer and will have TUGGIE to themselves.
More fantastic puppy pictures. I always love them! The new yard looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! They all look like they have big smiles on their faces. Thank you for working so hard to get it done, so these guys could enjoy it before heading home.

ReplyDeleteWOW, what a great play yard for the Annabelle Doodles!!!! Joyce, you take puppy rearing to a totally new level! So glad we are the recipients of one of your fantastic pups. Stella is such a love. Have a great summer.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It has been something I have wanted to do for quite some time. The grass was a mess and the mud and dirt made upkeep a nightmare. My philosophy is to let 'dogs be dogs' which means being outside playing, digging, chasing and being stimulated by their environment. Now the pups can enjoy all those benefits but still be clean!
ReplyDeleteThe added bonus is all the walking levels for them to experience: puppy room tile, potty litter, the 'lumpy' ramp to venture outside, pavers in the fenced pens, stones, turf, the 'woodsy' pine/leaf mix area, sandbox coup and rubber mulch located in the clubhouse are wonderful textures for them to explore. Let's not forget TUGGIE for 'water sports'! So important in their development. :+)
