Here is Olive and ARI's litter of cutie pies. :+)

It certainly was a LONG day and night of panting and pressure and the weather was not cooperating at all.

Olive constantly had to go out because of the pressure and made a mess of the whelping box bedding.  I could not have her whelp in dampness, so constant changing was my protocol for the day and night.  I have finally caught up with the laundry.  :+)  I WILL catch up on my sleep but I know how anxious everyone has been about seeing the litter so priorities first!

One pup is available in this litter.

Here are the little darlings slurping up Olive's warm, nutritious milk and being quite content.  They had a good night...well let's just say they settled in nicely once born.

This cream colored charmer is the only boy in the group.  He arrived at 2:40 AM and was the second one delivered.   He will be identified by his Black Ribbon.   11 & 1/2 oz.

This shiny black pup is Red Ribbon Girl and was the last one born at 4:40 AM.  She weighed in at 11 & 1/2 oz.

This pretty light apricot girl was the firstborn at 2:10 AM.  She weighed in at 11 & 1/2 oz.   She will be known as Teal Ribbon Girl.

Another black beauty, Pink Ribbon Girl was the third pup born and arrived at 3:55 AM.  She is the biggest pup at 13 oz.

    1. I just got back from their vet appointment and she was just bubbling with how healthy, robust and beautiful they are. :+) Olive is in perfect condition and producing lots of milk, so these babes will become porkers for sure.

Their Dew Claws were removed this morning and although it is a 'pinch', it does not comes close to the pain of a ripped one on an adult. Funny enough, my vet's first surgery was to repair a ripped one on one dog and remove one from another - this before 10 AM! So, these injuries are common and VERY painful which is why I keep having them removed as infants.

All are home and nursing Olive and their pinch is just a memory.

  2. Such cute puppies! Love those shiny black little girls. I bet Felix would love to bring one home. Too much testosterone for that to happen. Haha.

  3. Hi Joyce! Tell Olive that Brewster and all of the Kelly family think her rainbow hued litter is just beautiful!!!! Love the mix of blacks and apricot and cream - just gorgeous! To all of the adoptive families, you will be blessed with an Olive pup - it is hard to remember our home without our boy Brewster! Congratulations on another amazing litter - they are all too cute for words. Amy:-)
