All they really do is nurse and sleep like any infant. Yes, there are times when they cry for a variety of reasons such as: can't find a sibling to buddy with, a nipple is not conveniently close by or there are more than one that want the same 'favored' nipple.
Daisy has been doing very well with no issues so far. Her one regret is that she is not allowed in the pool to swim during this time as the pups cannot be wet or damp. Until they are about 2 1/2 weeks, they cannot control their internal temperature, so the environment must be controlled for them until then. Both Daisy and Wyatt love the water. :+)
Here are their one week old pics - don't expect much as they are pretty much 'blobs' at this time! Also be aware that the pups look much bigger in the pics than in reality.

ReplyDeleteI am sure you have! :+) Did you show them all to Wyatt? I know he is so proud. The two black ones are going to be his size for sure - they are rugged boys!
