Now that the pups are just about 3 1/2 weeks of age, time to bring on some 'soupy meals'! Brinkley has been doing an outstanding job of feeding her crew but she needs some help! I have started making some gruel to hopefully give Brinkley a break.
Morning and evening, I whip up a gruel with powdered canine milk, Gerber chicken baby food and Gerber Rice Cereal. The pups are eager to taste it. Here are a couple of pics.
Using their noses, they seek out the bowl.
Once finished, they lick each others faces for the crumbs. :+)

They do until they smell 'Momma'! Nothing like the 'real' thing. After another full week, I will have to keep Brinkley in the kitchen so they can't see or smell her. I need Brinkley to gain some weight as she is TOO good to her pups! I pile on the food until she is stuffed but she gives it ALL to the pups right now. They are so plump!
