The second week has been terrific with the pups finally opening their eyes right on schedule. They are still a bit 'cloudy' and certainly can't see clearly yet but in a few days both their eyes and ears will be fully functioning.
Soon, the pups will be moved to the pup room where there will be sunshine to enjoy and a brighter environment to adjust to. It will take Brinkley a few hours to figure out that her babies are no longer under my desk but in their new spot. All my moms do this. Once they know, the pups are staying put, they relax once again and continue their duties. :+)
The pups are gaining beautifully with a couple already 2 lbs! Brinkley is eating well and the puppies are certainly benefitting from her rich milk. :+)

ReplyDeleteThey are chubby for sure! All of us are doing very well. Brinkley is a bit thin, but she is not a 'heavy' girl anyway. I am feeding her four times a day but these guys are vacuums!
ReplyDeleteI know I’m biased, but they are beautiful🥰 Their coats are so lustrous! I know one of the nutrient-rich homemade treats you feed Brinkley are called Satin Balls. And my first impression seeing this week’s pictures are that they look like chubby little balls of satin 💝
