Their time in the kitchen has been excellent! They will move into the Pup Room tomorrow after it is cleaned. Jonnie's babies are now ready for their new homes and will be picked up tomorrow! Very happy and excited families!
Sadie has been a very good mommy and this week, I will begin to feed her babies a gruel and start the weaning process. It generally takes a week or so to gently stop milk production. The good news for me is that her family lives pretty close and we will begin to have her visit them for several hours to help the separation process. This makes it easier on the mom and the pups. Once the pups are eating puppy food well, Sadie will just come for a few minutes to 'empty' her milk glands and go right back home. It usually just takes twice and she is finished. By then, pups are going outside and quite interested in running around and having visitors. :+)
The cuties at FOUR WEEKS. They see, hear and wag their little tails. Use their voices too!

Miss Iris, a caramel. |

Master Rocky, a phantom - the only male in the group. Poor guy. |

Miss Copper, my first sable patterned puppy! |
|
Miss Fern, an abstract of chocolate and white. |

Miss Bluebelle, the largest in the litter. I lovingly call her 'Fat Alice'. |
|
Miss Raven. That descriptor says it all. |
