Maple's pups meet a new toy along with Ind. pics!

Just for you to enjoy! By the way, they had nail trims today along with some snipping near the eyes. Their fur grows sooo fast! Weights will be done on Tuesday, I hope.

New space for the Maple litter!

Hi!

This is the space where Cadbury's pups were and the 'baby pups' were in the corner in a very small pen for potty training purposes and for the coziness of it.

They are now at the point where more space for playing is needed, especially if it rains and they cannot go outside to chase and wrestle.

Playing tug with a new 'crinkly' toy is a favorite.

Everybody had to investigate the potty area!

'Monster' is always of interest. I should have bought two of them!

Sometimes the potty areas become 'playgrounds' too.

So where are Cadbury's pups? They have the open space left in the puppy room. They no longer need potty boxes or x-pens, so they have been removed. For a few days now, they use the doggie door exclusively and 'do their business' outside. They lounge around at will and look so mature compared to the wee ones. Yes, they still have their frog to cuddle with. Most, however, love to sleep in a pile by the doggie door.

Head shots of the Cadbury litter, just because it is nice outside. :+)

As some of you may be aware, the boys have already been neutered and the girls had their turn yesterday. All the pups are doing great and surgeries done this early have such a quick recovery you really wonder if it was done!

This is the lovely Lucy all bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Gracie has the doodle 'head-tilt' down pat. Some doodles do this and some don't. I find it an endearing trait.

I believe Green Boy is really having an identity crisis 'cause he does not have a name yet! He is wondering and wondering who he is.

Norville is going through that 'gangly stage' like most boys do. :+) All his parts will eventually fit together nicely. He is going home on Saturday.

Lestat is giving us that 'puppy in the window' stare - 'Will you take me home?' Not to worry, he is being picked up on Saturday to go to his very anxious owners!

Muddie Pearl was picked up by her guardian today and boy will her young owner be surprised when she gets home from school!

Baylor will be going home on the 19th as his owners are on vacation. He will be happy to know that they are coming to visit him on Saturday.

Molly's face is irresistable. The Cohen family is going to have to be REALLY strong to not give in when she is begging for treats, the bed, popcorn, shoes .............

We are fat, frisky and five weeks old!

Although today was another busy day transporting Cadbury's pups to the vets (the girls this time) for spays, microchips and stool checks, these little guys got to be outside again. They really do enjoy the open space.

Here Mr. Spot (5 1/2 lbs.) stops to check something out. Mr. Navy (6 1/2 lbs.) is looking attentively as well.

I don't think Miss Kelly Green (5 1/2 lbs.) has been sent to the corner, but it does look that way!

Miss Pumpkin (5 1/4 lbs.) is getting ready to pounce on a littermate, I think!

Climbing up and charging down these ramps is a favorite activity for Miss Lavender (5 lbs.).

Focusing on another littermate, Miss Fudge (4 3/4 lbs.) is contemplating her next step as Miss Rose (4 1/4 lbs.) attacks from behind.

Each day they are out, they become more and more confident about their surroundings.

They like to watch the older pups through the fence.

It is quite entertaining for them!

Finally, the tunnel gets some interest......

along with the shrub.

Maple's pups enjoy the outdoors for the first time.

I decided to take the 'baby' pups outside today because it gets really hot in the puppy room and our air conditioner is not up yet. I had spent a lot of time and effort last fall to design areas in my playground that I could disinfect easily so that my young pups could be outside. It is a nice size area and in the shade. It is filled with stones and has a plastic fence surrounding the space which prevents the older pups from getting in. They can certainly see them but not interact. This allows both sets of pups to be outdoors at the same time but avoids cross contamination. They really enjoyed it and I felt good knowing they were happily playing and sleeping in the fresh air.

Navy Blue Boy liked playing and sitting on the ramps.

Miss Fudge snuggled right in for a nice snooze.

So did Miss Kelly Green.

Miss Lavender tried several textures to add to her taste buds.

Mr. Spot sat pretty for me on the stones.

Miss Pumpkin is very photogenic. :+)

And Miss Rose was missed when taking pics outdoors. She was sleeping amongst a pile of others so I took one of her in the house.

HAPPY EASTER! (11 weeks old!)

I do apologize for not having an Easter theme, but I did manage to get pics!!! The pups have been enjoying the wonderful weather and my husband and I spent most of the day cleaning up gardens and simply enjoying the warm breezes and bright sunshine. We don't get enough near perfect days like this one, so we took time to enjoy it. :+)

Now, I have no idea why Lestat looks soooo grumpy, but just look at that face!!! Maybe he does not like the leaf flavor! 10 1/4 lbs.

Baylor is about as photogenic as they come. I could just do an album of him in about 30 seconds flat. 13 1/4 lbs.

Miss Pink does have a home and will have a name very soon! No, there is no water in the pool yet, but it was warm enough to fill it today! 9 lbs.

Muddie Pearl's guardians are tying up a few loose ends and will be picking her up very soon. We are all excited and hopeful that she will join our breeding program. I adore that face! :+)

Norville was sad that I had to pull him away from enjoying watching the little pups play outside. He loves them and will lay by them both in the puppy room as well as outside. He has a 'fatherly' nature about him. 12 1/4 lbs.

Gracie promptly went and dug a hole right after I took this shot. Her muzzle was all 'mussy' in a blink. Watch out Dina and Joe, this girl is not ALL DIVA after all! 11 1/4 lbs.

Lucy had been running and playing and had stopped just long enough for me to snap this. Her eyes are truly mesmerizing! 15 lbs.

Same with Green Boy - those eyes are simply riveting! 12 1/4 lbs.

Oliver went home as a surprise birthday present and boy, what a surprise it was! Both Andrew and I had been scheming for quite some time! Cailin was thrilled and has emailed everyone about their 'new addition'! Can we say 'EXCITED'!!

I am late! I am late! And I missed an important date!

Yesterday, I braved the horrendous rain numerous times because I had a lot to get done. The 5 boys went in for their blood work, microchips and neuters. So, too many trips in the pouring rain to count, I was very happy to finally be dry and warm at the end of the day. But that meant, that I did not have any more daylight to take pics of the boys and they were too full of energy. It is amazing how surgery at this age has so little effect on them!

A few words from the pups about their new owners and names. :+)

Hello! I am Miss LUCY! I use to be called 'Teal' and I belong to Wendy and Jeff. I know Wendy wanted a lap doggie, but if my owners sit together, I should fit just fine. (14 lbs.)

Good Morning from Purple Girl - oops, I mean 'PEARL'! Actually, since I am a breeding hopeful, my REAL name is: Annabelle's MUDDIE PEARL. I will live with my new guardians, Lisa, John and Grace. (10 lbs.)

Shoot! I am still waiting for my new family. :+( As I understand it, one is coming to play with me on Saturday. Maybe by next week, I can tell you what my name is. (Pink Girl - 8 1/2 lbs.))

Yes, it is me....GRACIE. I love lounging on this nice ol' leopard. The colors compliment me so well given it has all those lovely shades of my former namesake - Chocolate. My new owners, Dina and Joe, are getting me a harness to match this leopard kitty. How divine! (10 3/4 lbs.)

I am telling ya, going to the vets yesterday was a MAJOR headache! I have lots to tell my new owners Kaley and David about 'the procedure'! By the way, my new name is Norville. I like that a whole lot better than 'Orange' - I don't feel like a fruit anymore. (11.5 lbs.)

You think you had it bad! I am Oliver, known previously as Red Boy. After my surgery, I ended up 'shaving' and slicing my nose! So I have boo boos on BOTH ends. Andrew and Cailin, my new owners, are going to be soooo worried! (10.2 lbs.) (I am fine, really...ha, ha!

Yes, I was in the hospital too, and I love the flowers! Everyone knows me as Black Boy but my new owners Brian, Jackie and Andrea want me to be called Baylor now. Can someone show me how to put this diaper on??? (13 lbs.)

When you are feeling 'a bit green', there is nothing like a sympathetic friend to hold your hand. Although I have a new family, they are having a difficult time giving me a name. I sure hope I don't have to wait much longer. I need some perking up. (11.2 lbs.)

I could go over all the surgical details with you, but I really don't think they would have the same affect on you as it did on me.......

I am no longer 'blue' and have a wonderful family named Nancy and Steve who are great readers. They have given me a name of distinction and flair... 'Lestat du Lioncourt'. I think it is famous in the literary world. (9.3 lbs.)
