A Guardian Home gem named DIESEL is looking to join a gentle family.

Diesel is quite relaxed sitting by my large flower pot in front of our door.
YES, Diesel is still here because he deserves a wonderful guardian home that is searching for a great puppy to add love, smiles and fun into their lives.

When I went to take Diesel for a walk on our road, I realized he was NOT happy to have cars or trucks whizzing by him, he actually FROZE.  I knew immediately that I had to desensitize him to that 'sound'.  I began by working with him in my front yard where he had the opportunity to run back to the front door each time a car or truck went by.  I then grabbed some cooked chicken, a leash and harness and kept him with me when those vehicles went by.  I redirected him to pay attention to me as the nasty 'noise' passed.  Once he realized he was safe, he began to relax and only showed a mild awareness of the vehicles going by.  Then I moved to my driveway with the same 'equipment' and repeated the same formula.  Before long, he was walking just fine up and down my driveway getting his goodies, pats and encouragement from me.  Lastly, I got him to cross the street with me and repeated it again.  He also met a couple of our town workers to say 'Hello' to as cars went by.

Yesterday, I took him to two garden nurseries to meet strangers and say 'Hello'.  He was perfect.  When not in my arms, he sat by my feet as I talked or browsed.  Everyone thought he was so gorgeous and sweet.  Each day, I expose him to something new and repeat the steps with regard to the car noise.  He has no reaction to vacuums, mowers, etc.  He is very good on car rides, no vomiting or whining.  Diesel comes when called and sleeps very well in his crate from 10 pm to about 6 am.  When I am busy, Diesel stays in his safe zone where his crate is with the door off.  This is a perfect set up for a pup.  He is so easy to have around - even my girls don't mind him too much.  Daisy and Gunny, his mom, play pretty rough with him and he is submissive and respectful.  Olive growls at him all the time and Harriet grumbles but likes him.  Willis is unfazed when he is around.

Remember to read about a Guardian Home for Diesel on this blog further down the posts.  I am particular about grooming, vaccines/flea tick products, food and training!  I want my doodles to be healthy and happy, so good food, minimal vaccines and positive training are very important to me.  Diesel is very food motivated and learns quickly. :+)

Little DUCKIE MALLARD'S Page

Oh goodness!  This little man is just 'duckie'!  Fifteen (six months) pounds of adorable!!  I bet if he gets to 20 lbs, that would be pushing it.  I had been searching for quite some time for another miniature male stud hopeful now that Lil Abner is retired.  Happily, this little boy became available and the big bonus was that he is a chocolate and tan phantom that also carries for the parti gene - that made me smile.

Although I had named him Credence, I decided to change it to DUCKIE MALLARD and he lives with another ADNE stud named Phineas T. Barnum and they get along great.  Big brother shows him the ropes and provides protection from creatures big and small that might scare Duckie.

Lucky little pup also gets to join his friends weekly at his day care facility and they all love him there.  A friendly, willing to please kind of guy (definitely food motivated) he certainly is growing up happy and loved.  Let's keep asking the testing angels to gift him with great results in a few more months.  :+)

Showing off his patches of white on his chin and chest.  You can also barely see his tan phantom markings on his feet and spread lightly over his cheeks.  When he is trimmed up, it will show up more.  His silky curls are sooo soft!

If you make the pic larger, you can see his gorgeous green eye.  He does have two of them!  :+)

What his guardians have to say about Duckie:

It was over a year ago and our first ADNE Doodle, Phineas, had just turned 8 when our daughter, Abby, started the campaign for a mini Phinny.   After the joy Phinny has brought us,  along with how great Joyce is to work with and her quality standards and love for her dogs, we knew we had to call Joyce.  As luck would have it, just a couple months later Duckie arrived.  It was love at first sight, at least for Billy, Abby and I.  Phineas didn’t think a lot of him at first.  Duckie showed us right away that although he was very small in size, he was huge in personality.  We started finding shoes, slippers, and all of the dog toys go missing.  We soon found out Duckie like to store them all under the bed where Phinny couldn’t fit.

One day as I sat in the living room I watched Duckie from underneath an ottoman grab one toy at a time and pull them under the ottoman as Phinny watched on growling under his breath.  Then only one toy remained and it was right in front of Phinny.  Coming out from under the ottoman all you saw was one paw reach out very slowly right in front of Phinny and pull the one last remaining toy under the ottoman.  Duckie then came out the other side with the last toy he had captured in his mouth and pranced around with great pride.

Duckie was determined to get Phinny to play with him and love him.  He did not give up on Phinny, continuing to try to initiate play.  Soon enough Phinny gave in and could not help but like him too.  They are now best buds playing together all the time, and cuddling.

Duckie is very mischievous and stubborn.  It is fortunate for us as we put him through training we quickly learned he’ll do anything for food. He was a very quick learner when food was involved. However, he is so smart and I think he has learned to act up just in order to get ‘cookies’.   We also never have to worry wondering if Duckie wants something for he will certainly ask.  He talks in this little whine and makes it quite clear what he is after.

When Duckie isn’t up to his shenanigans he is such a cuddle-bug.  Sometimes I think he is part cat as he snuggles right in on our laps or is rubbing against my legs and sitting on my feet as I do the dishes.  He just loves to be touching someone.  It is not uncommon to wake up in the morning to find him sleeping on my head or snuggling under my chin.

Duckie loves to play with all other dogs, but he is a little shy around people.  It takes a while for him to trust those he doesn’t know.  After folks have been around awhile he may get curious on his terms.  However, if the strangers offer up some food they become an instant friend at least until he has captured the food.  😊

We can’t imagine our home now without our boys, Phinny and our little Duckie.

WYATT SLURP - Stud

It is with great pleasure that Wyatt Slurp joins our breeding program.  Wyatt traveled all the way from Oregon to join the ADNE family and I could not be more thrilled.  His breeder, Labradoodledoo, painstakingly searched for exemplary stock when she started her program and it paid off in spades for health and temperament. Words from Wyatt's guardians:

At 11 weeks, Wyatt joined his guardian family.
We had always had golden retrievers, but were looking for a smaller, non-shedding dog this time around.  So, after researching several breeders – and weeding most out – I met Joyce and her darling doodles.   We were “on the list” for a puppy from an upcoming litter so I scheduled some time to meet Joyce in person.  As we were wrapping up our meeting, Joyce mentioned that she would be looking for a guardian home for a hopeful stud.  I had no idea what a guardian home meant or what it involved, but once I saw a picture of this scruffy, green-eyed, soulful chocolate puppy I just knew he was meant to be ours.
We picked Wyatt up two weeks later and have been madly in love ever since.  Wyatt is the most fun, the smartest, the most athletic, the most quirky, the most cuddly and lovable dog that we have ever had…. THE best dog EVER!!!   Wyatt has such an amazing temperament and personality – there has never been a person or dog that doesn’t go crazy over him and he feels the same way about them.  He really has that “je ne sais quoi”.
Before a year, he passed the CGC

Wyatt captivated the trainers at obedience school – passed his Canine Good Citizenship test with flying colors – enthralled all of our friends and family members (neighbors come over and ask if they can take him for a walk!), and has earned the reputation as being the best method for clearing a field of wild geese or a beach of pesky seagulls in about 20 seconds.  In the winter, his favorite job is snow and ice removal.  As soon as he sees his “dad” with the snow shovel, he’s ready for action.

Wyatt is like big dog in a small package.  He is curious and brave, he is always up for a hike, a jog or a doggie play date, and his evening ritual is playing fetch with a toy donut, a soft bone or a stuffed bird.  We often ask ourselves “where did Wyatt come from?”  Well, we know the answer to that but really, I think the stars were aligned and we found each other.  He is the most perfect fit for us and I think Wyatt feels the same.

Tip O'Keefe, stud for ADNE - RETIRED

Keefer's testing results shows a clean bill of health and I am very excited to see what he brings to ADNE and the breeding community.

Keefer playing with a wood chip at 16 wks.

A gorgeous red stud muffin who I hope will be used on most of my medium sized females. His guardian family has been doing a wonderful job of training him.

Keefer will bring great color and keep the incredibly soft fleece coat strong in my program. His beautiful color stops people in their tracks.

Keefer's mom is Annabelle's Tate O'Reilly, a lovely caramel color and his sire is Tip of the Shore Thomas, a strong red carrier.

    Three weeks old.

A wee babe at 1 week.

    Seven weeks.
    Five months.

Keefer at one year - 37 lbs.

What his guardians have to say:

Joyce and her program is absolutely fabulous.  We were referred to her by a friend when we decided it was time to start looking for a dog.  She has been so helpful, full of knowledge and runs truly a very ethical program.  With all of that she is also very nice, compassionate, loves all of the dogs and works endlessly to ensure you receive a well adjusted happy puppy.  Our Tip has been a wonderful addition to our family.  We get so many compliments on how beautiful he is and his amazing personality.  We are very happy and would highly recommend Joyce and her puppies.

Tango Wool's Needle In A Haystack aka DUBLIN - (RETIRED FROM THE ADNE PROGRAM)

    Dublin at one year.
Dublin has always had soft curls and his guardian, Cynthia, brushes him often so he looks his best.  He is such a mamma's boy and soaks up hugs and kisses like a sponge.

Enjoying a pine branch as a youngster.
I see Dublin often and each visit provides me with the opportunity to cuddle with him for an hour or so. He is so delightful to be around. I am so looking forward to using Dublin in my program with some of my upcoming and current girls now that he has passed his stringent testing.
    Dublin's conformation pose - 6 mos.
    Dirty Dublin!
    'You called'?

Can I say how delightful this potential stud boy is?  He has the most wonderful personality that is so true to the Australian Labradoodle standards.  He melts in your lap for belly rubs and then hugs you with his soft furry paws.
    Dublin looking out the window
    at a friend's cottage.

His deep apricot/red coat has lightened to apricot now that he has matured but still glistens like a copper pot when the sun's rays fall upon it; yet has a lovely subtlety in the shade. Dublin has nice proportions with a perfect top line and leg length.

This stud has all the right ingredients to make a positive mark on the Labradoodle world. Thank you Tango Wool Labradoodles for sharing this fabulously balanced male out of new American lines with me and Blueberry Cottage Labradoodles!

The welcome mat is out for 'CAPI'!

Capi has such a luscious coat!
Quite at home in ones arms.
    Loves being outdoors, too.
CAPRICCIO!  (pronounced Ka pri she o) aka Capi showing his conformation off.
Posted by PicasaI am always looking for new lines that come from proveable, AKC or Internationally registered stock and am so thrilled to be part of a co-ownership with this lovely medium male pup.  Tango Wool's Brahms Capriccio aka 'Capi, is a stunning third generation American Labradoodle that will produce creams, chocolates, blacks, apricots, reds and cafes'.  Capi hails from a variety of tested/registered Poodle lines in both Miniature and Standard sizes.  The AKC English Labrador lines are stellar and I feel very strongly that we must keep the LAB in the LABradoodle!

This boy has it all - conformation, non-shedding silky coat, square head and muzzle, saber tailset and winning personality.  Capi has been growing up in a Home School setting with lots of kid interaction, is crate trained, learning to walk well on a leash and has been started on house training.

As co-owners of this lovely doodle, it would be great to have a guardian home somewhere around Framingham, Massachusetts or anywhere close to Southern Maine.

Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to welcome this yummy boy into your life and family.  A fenced in yard is definitely preferred but we would consider an Invisible Fence.  We have a wonderful 'incentive program' in place.  Please contact me (Joyce) at 207-676-5579 if you have any questions or need more information.  Thanks!  I look forward to hearing from you.  :+)

An interesting note on his name:  The breeder, Marci of Tango Wool, uses names that are music related.  We all know Brahms was a well known composer.  Did you know that capricchio means 'an instrumental composition that doesn't adhere to rules for any specific musical form and is played with improvisation'.  How fitting that this particular name (and boy) fits how Marci and I breed!  We research and gather information that best suits our goals and then 'create music' with our selections.  :+)

    Percy Jaxon - Cockapoo STUD

    Almost two years old.

Jaxon is a snuggler - whether it be with cushions or people.

I was very pleased to find a second generation Cockapoo from original AKC breeds with lots of champions in them.  Champion lines shows structural confirmation that is true to the breed standard.  A well put together dog shows balance and correct movement -  an important element for good breeding.  Hybrids, in particular, should come from well bred original stock.

Of course, a champion does not prove healthy genetics or wonderful temperaments, but you will rarely see 'nasty'  personalities in show rings gathering Blue Ribbons!

    Jax as a pup.

Percy Jaxon, named after the Lightning Thief series of books for young adults, has mischief written all over his face.  He does live up to his name but has also become a great companion to twin girls who adore him.  He has been a great comfort to patrons of his mom's work and has all the ingredients to become a wonderful therapy dog, if desired.

Showing off his square, stocky build. (1.6 yrs.)

Jaxon's perfect size of 15 inches and 19 pounds gives me much flexibility for sizes in my program.  Jaxon is considered a true miniature by Labradoodle standards and his 'zig zag' tendrils are soft and luxurious.  He stills loves belly rubs and has since a wee one. I have been so pleased with what Jaxon has contributed to my program.

He wags so hard his entire back end shakes, then when you touch him, he melts for belly rubs.

    Jaxon at 8 months.

Jaxon and one of 'his' twins.

Jaxon  has a boatload of confidence and it shows in spades. He has it all - great testing, exceptional temperament and a soft, draping, non-shedding coat. He has produced some 'to die for pups' for the Annabelle Doodle family.   GO JAX!

    Squishable face!

JANUARY 2015 UPDATE: Jaxon is retired but sperm is frozen and available for AI's.

    STATS AND CERTIFICATIONS:

    • Size/Color/Coat:  At almost 2 year's old, Jax is 19 lbs. and 15 inches tall - a true Miniature. Color DNA is BBee, apricot with white abstract markings similar to a tuxedo pattern.  Jax does not carry for chocolate.  Jaxon has a non-shedding coat. It consists of very soft, silky, fleece tendrils that drape beautifully.  It is not woolly and there is no undercoat.  Jax carries for the parti gene through testing at VetGen and is a recessive for the IC gene.
    • von Willebrand's Disease, Type 1 - 5/3/12 is Negative through Ingen Diagnostics #0003035946

    Phineas T. Barnum

    Phineas T. Barnum - Stud.
Available for stud service to approved/tested dams.  No kennels, please.
    Read below.

    Phineas au naturale.

Affectionately called Phinny by his guardians, he is a sweet boy who loves to be with people as well as other dogs of any type.  When I had Phin here for grooming, he was a perfect gentleman.  At the vets, he is well mannered, can be handled by any tech and is non aggressive to other dogs.  He has a wonderful, stable temperament and is a pleasure to be with.  He has a thick, non-shedding coat that looks best when kept short on the body with a bit of length on his head and legs.  I look forward to see what he will bring to our Labradoodle community.

    Phineas 3 yrs. old.

    Words from his guardians:

    Phineas at 6 months.

Phineas is a  sensitive, loving, loyal, playful, athletic and extremely sweet boy.    Phineas wakes Mommy up at 6:00 sharp every day with kisses and little nudges, no alarm clock needed .  We haven’t yet been able to teach him about Saturdays and Sundays.  He then immediately presents his ball, letting us know it is time to play.  When playing ball he will continuously fetch and return until you stop.  If he spots a squirrel out the corner of his eye however, he is in motion and runs his very own self built obstacle course through the woods on our property.  It takes him over and under downed trees, weaving at top speed!  He has made a very distinctive walking path for the rest of us.  He just loves to be outside.   Phineas also can keep himself occupied inside with his balls.  He loves to lay on his back and amazingly place his ball between his two paws and hold it in the air.

After play time, Phineas loves to join the family all cuddled up watching a movie. Although very much a mommy’s boy,  he prefers when the entire family is home and safely together.  When one of the Owens clan is missing, he will wait at the top of the stairs for them to get home before settling into his bed for the night.  When you do arrive home, he greets you very enthusiastically, even when only gone for a few minutes.

Phineas also has a lot of friends in the neighborhood.  When going for walks he knows where all his human and dogie friends live and loves to stop and socialize.   Phineas is also very obedient and extremely sensitive.  We have learned there is no reason to be very sharp with him.  Just give him the right look and he’ll roll and give you the look as if he is truly saying he is sorry.   All Phinny needs is hugs, kisses and a ball, and he is a very happy boy.  :+)

Stats and Certifications:    Phineas surpasses the OFA 'CHIC' Status Level of Testing
    • DOB: October 27, 2009 from a mating of Willson's Chico, F1B American Labradoodle, non-shedding and Clara Belle, Australian Labradoodle, non-shedding, curly fleece/soft wool combo.

    PEDIGREE:

    CRITERIA FOR STUD USE:
My philosophy as a provider of possible stud service is solely for improvement of our hybrid in health, temperament and conformation to the best of my ability.  The following criteria will not fit everyone's program nor is it meant to.  I am hopeful that by 'raising the bar' on my studs, I will eventually work with breeders with the same goals and testing protocol.
    • All dams must have a recent Brucellosis test and be free of parasites before breeding.
    • Full pedigree must be submitted.
    • Friendly temperament.
    • Testing of Dam must include the following:  Current CERF, Clear/Carrier PRA and von Willebrand's Disease (parental clearances must have hard copy paperwork), Current Thyroid & TgAA results, PennHIP of 50% or above or passing OFA Certification for Hips (no prelims or Dr. Wallace opinions unless accompanied with a minimum of 50% PennHIP), vet clearances for Patellae, OFA Elbows and OFA Heart.

    Litters Phineas has sired:

With ADNE's  Muddie Pearl, a litter of five.  (Side by Side A.I.)

    Willson's Chico

When Chico (RETIRED) was purchased, he already had a very successful breeding career in Canada.  I had admired him and his puppies from afar until serendipity appeared and I was able to purchase him along with another breeder for our programs.  A more happy guy would be hard to find!  Chico greets you at the door with friendly barks and a wildly wagging tail.  He has definitely earned a well deserved retirement.

    Stats and Certifications:
    • DOB:  12/31/05.  Chico is an F1B Labradoodle.  Willson's Honest Abraham, an apricot mini Poodle is his sire and a red F1 Labradoodle named Willson's Chica is his mom.

    Coriander

Coriander (RETIRED) is a 'Diamond in the Rough'.  Cori is a first generation Cockapoo who was brought up in a kennel setting and was shined up by his guardians with lots of love and patience to bring out the sparkle in his eyes and the spring in his step.  Cori charms all my girls when he comes over for a visit.  I swear, he makes Harriet Potter swoon.

Totally non aggressive with people and other dogs, Coriander is an easy guy to have around.  He adores his big Labradoodle brother, Patton, and loves the water, playing fetch and exploring the woods.

    Cori loving the water!
    Cori playing with other dogs.
