Lovely Tate goes home tomorrow.

Tate has a way of looking at you that is almost human.

She watches Olives litter with the relaxed pose of a mom.

Tate is my keeper, but the entire litter was truly outstanding in so many ways.  :+)

Oh, the joys of a new toy that has to be shared! Tate and Coco

First, they shared.
Loved the ears flopping in the wind as they raced together.  :+)
Then the wrestling started to see who would win the prize!
Looks like Tate MIGHT have the upper hand here.  But.......
Oh my gosh!  Grammy Annabelle has taken care of the argument.  It is hers!!!  So much like children.  :+)

Tate checks out the pool as Coco entertains Olives pups.

Ever inquisitive, Tate checks out the pool I just put water in.
Needs to see for herself what is in there.
Looks like her toes are going to get wet!!!  :+)
In the meantime, Coco enjoys chatting with her cousins.
It appears Coco enjoys sunbathing rather than swimming.
Her cousins think she is quite charming.  I agree.  :+)

Clara's puppies go home to their families!

Miss Coco is on her way home as I type.  There is an anxious family waiting for her arrival!
This family was away during normal pick up weekend but Coco is such a sweet pup, she was no trouble at all.
The Kingston family picked up Winston (Green Boy) and are already in love with their big boy!
Winston will really fit in with this active, involved and social family.  :+)
Finally, Tate has left for her home with Elizabeth, her guardian.  Tate will hopefully
become great friends with the resident Siamese, Trina.  :+)
Miss Dixie (Orange Girl) is home with the Gilbert Family.  Thank you Nancy for sending this great pic!
Cheddar (Blue Boy), has met his new owners and they are all smiles.  Cheddar is a rugged guy and will totally enjoy playing, hiking, balls and all the activities a family will offer.
He will certainly make them laugh and give them plenty of exercise.

Clara's litter is 10 weeks old and begin leaving tomorrow.

Cheddar/Blue (14 1/4 lbs.) - loves to be outdoors investigating his world.  Everything is interesting.
Winston/Green (15 1/2 lbs.)  is a whirlwind!  He is so going to enjoy being the social butterfly.
Tate/Purple (10 1/2 lbs.)  wanted to take the leash and go for a walk by herself!
Dixie/Orange (12 lbs.) - Aren't those eyebrows hysterical???
Coco/Yellow (11 3/4 lbs.) -  A perfect pup for young children.  Coco is gentle and compliant.

The morning after surgery. If you are wondering.....

They only have the alleyway to play in.
They make the most of the small space.
This is to minimize their movements so they heal faster.
Tate, who did not have surgery, is enticing Cheddar to chase her.
Dixie does seem to enjoy crate training.  :+)

Clara's pups went in for their spays and neuters this morning.

I just received the call that all went well and that I will be picking up the pups late this afternoon.

In order to give them some movement but still curtail them from running or climbing, I have just finished bleaching the alley that leads from the pup room to their playpens.  They will have to play here for a couple of days until they show healing.  It is unfortunate because lately they have been really enjoying climbing and sliding down the Lil Tykes Slide/Clubhouse.  They all have it mastered.  :+)

Here are the pics of the 'patients'.  Tate has been home alone and she was quite upset not to have her littermates.  I took her with them for the ride and to get her microchip - she was a trooper!  Her brothers and sisters had the 'painless pinch' because they were under anesthesia when done.

Coco came home, ate a small meal along with her med to help with swelling and rested.  That is what smart pups are suppose to do.  :+)

All of the pups went outside quickly once they had a long drink of water.  Coco at the top with Dixie in the middle and Cheddar on the bottom.

All the pups had bloodwork to be sure they were healthy enough to go under anesthesia and that there were no heart concerns.  I always do this as a precautionary measure.

My vet is a sweetheart and cuts their nails and cleans their ears while under.  I was told they were excellent patients before, during and after surgery.  I might also add, that NONE of the pups got sick in the car going to or coming home today!  Yeah!!  Update:  Green Boy has a home!

Today is the day all of you have been waiting for....ASSIGNMENTS!

I have left messages with all of you and now I wait for you to contact me.  As you do, I will add to this post.

Tomorrow,  the pups have their surgeries - a stressful day to be sure!  Stay tuned!

UPDATE:+)

  • YELLOW GIRL -  'Co Co' is going to live with the Webber family in Cambridge, Mass.
  • ORANGE GIRL - 'Dixie' will have a big brother to play with at the Gilbert's home in Wellesley, Mass.
  • BLUE BOY -  'Cheddar' will have lots of fun with the children of the Ye family in Acton, Mass.
As you all know TATE O'REILLY aka Purple Girl will be a hopeful addition to the Annabelle Doodle program some day.  Actively looking for a dog experienced home for this little spirit!

GREEN BOY is now available to be purchased.  If you know of anyone looking to add a 40 to 45+ lb. Labradoodle to their household, let me know!  Green has the best coat in the litter and has energy and smarts!  He is a cuddler too.  An active lifestyle would suit him best.

HAPPY EASTER from the Clara crew! (9 weeks)

Blue Boy aka Cheddar weighed in at 11.7 lbs. today and was about to tip over when I captured this shot.
At 13.1 lbs., there was no way Green Boy (AVAILABLE)  could possibly fit into this LARGE egg!
Although not nutritious, Orange Girl aka Dixie didn't mind tasting the 'fodder'.  (10.1 lbs.)
I love this shot of Purple Girl (Tate O'Reilly)  (8.9 lbs.).  She and the rabbit are the same color.
Yellow Girl aka Dixie at 9.8 lbs.  Typically, this pup is so mellow, I expected her to just lie there.  She surprised me
when she started pawing at the eggs until she got one opened.  :+)
Posted by PicasaToday, the pups also went for their vet visit.  They were examined by Dr. Estle and deemed in great shape.

Their stool sample showed a low level of Coccidia protozoa, so they will be on meds to eradicate them.  Nothing to be concerned about - it is pretty common for pups to get infected with this nasty bug because it is EVERYWHERE.  There were no worms but I decided to have them treated just as a precaution.

On Tuesday, most of them will be back at the vets for their spays/neuters and soon be home with you!  Remember to keep them in a low key environment until they are fully healed.

Dr. Estle loves Labradoodles and is always so happy to examine puppies.  :+)

Clara's litter went to get their eye CERF's today!

Peeking out the back of my wagon is L. to Rt.
Purple, Blue, Green and Yellow
This is what the boys did the whole time traveling.  Blue on rt. Green on left peeking through the windows.
In this shot (left to right) is Blue, Purple, Yellow and Orange.
And this is Dr. Cassotis holding Blue Boy.  Each pup passed their exams with a perfect score!  YEAY!!
Posted by PicasaI would also like to say that the ride there and back was almost as uneventful.  Only one pup got sick and I blame myself.  I fed them only one hour before I had to travel.  That is usually not a good idea but I had no choice.  They were all good in the car.

Tomorrow, they go to a different vet to get their first puppy shots. Hopefully, their stomachs will not be full by the time we are on the road.  I will let you know how things turn out.  :+)
