THEY'RE HOME!

The day has finally arrived and all of Skye's pups have been picked up.  It was a very busy couple of days getting all the paperwork, booklets and bags ready but it was done!  Baths, nail & eye clips were done early in the morning and the pups were ready for their new homes.

Congratulations to all and please know there will be some whining and confusion for the first few days - it is NORMAL!  :+)

Chloe Grace (Purple Collar) went home on Friday due to a scheduling conflict.

Blue Boy, now named Babka is the fourth ADNE doodle for this loving family!

Daisy (Red Collar) will join Rosie - another ADNE doodle, waiting for her at home.

After losing her first ADNE doodle, Elizabeth contacted me for another sweetheart right away.
Welcome Belle - Ami! (Green Collar)

The Whickers finally made the decision to add REESE (Brown Collar Boy) to their family.
I am sure he is going to enjoy their two kids for lots of playing and attention!

Hot...Hot...Hot!

Today was another roaster!  Both days, we took the pups into our swimming pool and boy are they great swimmers!  They all did super well and enjoyed cooling off in the 'big' pool!  Our grand-daughters were delighted to participate as well.  :+)

Another visit to the vet today was for their microchips.  They were all very brave and it went smoothly.  I kept the car running with the A/C during this visit and both I and the pups were comfortable.

Also, it appears that I have concluded my paperwork with SpaySecure and you should be receiving paperwork to sign from this company.  This is a first for me, so hopefully, all goes well - it was rather daunting to read all the 'legal-eeze' but this is serious business!  Many other breeders are using them now and reports have been very positive.

This is my last pic post till Saturday's pick up!

This lil' chunk 'o chocolate is named REESE  :+) - 4 1/2 lbs.

Irish Belle-Ami.  Beautiful friend in French. - 5 1/4 lbs.

Changed to Chloe Grace Russo.  4 1/2 lb.s

Daisy.  She has a furry Rosie waiting for her to join the family.  6 3/4 lbs.

Babka - a Jewish cinnamon delicacy - yummy.  5 1/2 lbs.

A few more pics showing how much the girls and the pups enjoyed the pool the past few days!

Our son enjoyed it more than everyone, I believe.  Although every pup delighted in the swim.
I bet all of them become water doodles!

A short write up on how Temperament Testing went yesterday.

First of all the pups were excellent in my car with no whining or up-chucks!  Yea!  As each pup was brought out to the testing area, the rest were quiet in my portable pen.  Good babies!

The room has several 'obstacles' that the pups need to overcome.

  • a crinkly square of plastic
  • a cookie sheet
  • a noisy can that is tossed down nearby
  • a singing and dancing Santa
  • a container of kibble that they can sniff but not eat
  • a decent sized stuffed dog
  • a Wobble board
Then the next segment includes a ball to chase/retrieve, a squished large ball of paper, a pull toy on a rope, sitting and being patient and being held in the trainers arms for trust.

I have some pics of a variety of the segments with the pups.  :+)

I was very happy with the entire group.  Although different pups took a longer time to visit all the obstacles, all of them were VERY interested in the stuffed dog which showed they will likely be very happy to meet other friendly dogs in their future.  They also gravitated to the stuffed doll (not shown) which shows a kid affiliation.

Every one of them chased a ball but not all returned it.  Oh well, lessons to learn, right??  :+)

Here are some of the other stuff that she uses with the pups:

This is the Wobble Board and she entices them with a treat to go on it to test for both 'courage' and movement on something NOT stable.

This is the container of food she uses.  The point is to try and distract them from the container with a treat to show how compliant they may be with both voice and people attention.

This is the 'scary' square of plastic she uses for both new texture and unexpected noise.   This girl is wanting more encouragement to step on the green sheet.

Ahhhhh.... finally making the decision to inspect that scary container noise!

Some random pics of Skye's little cuties!

With our grand-daughters here often (every day), the pups are getting lots of attention and cuddles.  Enjoy the following pics of a 'typical' day here at ADNE.

Mr. Curiosity watching the girls play.

Two peas in a pod, digging in the sandbox.

Explore, explore and explore some more!

Great wrestling in the soft pine needles.

If you look closely, you will see that Blue Boy is playing tug with the hanging ropes.

Me next, me next!

'A stuffed shirt'!

The pups all enjoyed being in a shirt getting cuddles.

...Even Mr. Houdini.  :+)

We are on the other side of the mountain and counting down to 'Go Home Day'. Skye x Duckie - Week 7!

Wow, time is flying by, isn't it?  Next week, the pups will be seeing my trainer and once I receive her write ups (several days), I will assign these curly cuties!  I know everyone can hardly wait but be patient!!

With my grand-daughters here everyday, these pups are getting loads of attention, cuddles and play time!  They love the outdoor play area and chasing Winnie!  So the pups are getting socialized well with both kids and other friendly dogs.

I have found this litter to be very intelligent.  Training to go potty in a particular spot has been very easy both indoors and out.  When I 'copied' the same set up outside as inside, they immediately recognized the set up and used 'the bathroom'.  I am quite pleased as it makes clean up for me nice and convenient.  Thank you pups!!  :+)

After a wonderful rainstorm last night, the sun is shining and everything smells fresh.  Today's pic segment features them being prepared for the bright sunlight.

PURPLE GIRL - 3 1/2 lbs.

RED GIRL - 4 3/4 LBS.

GREEN GIRL - 3 3/4 LBS.

BROWN BOY - 3 1/4 LBS.

BLUE BOY - 4 LBS.

You may notice in some of these pics that I clipped their eyes and also their VERY scratchy nails!!  The curly coats will be soft and because they are such little guys will be easy for qualified groomers to keep prim and proper.  I was surprised at how well they did when I trimmed their eyes - very cooperative.  :+)

I find all of the pups curious, energetic, smart and engaging.  They love to wrestle, chase, explore and meet people.  I think all of you will be pleased with any one of them.

SIX WEEKS AND LOVING THE OUTDOORS! Skye & Duckie Litter

Skye has returned to her guardians and they are so, so happy to have their 'little girl' back home with them. Skye and her family will be visiting again on Thursday, (our daughter is her guardian) and I am sure the pups will be happy to see her.  :+)

The pups are eating well three times a day and don't really miss their mom as the other girls see them daily, plus our grand-daughters, and our family from California go in the outside pen to play and pat them daily.

I hope all of you are enjoying this marvelous weather - I know we are!

Pics of the pups in their outside pen:

As you can see, there is plenty of entertainment here to stimulate investigation.  Nothing, however, is better for these pups then when our four grand-daughters come over to cuddle and play with them.  :+)

Pics for their six week old shots continue with the Fourth of July theme and are below:

Red Girl weighs 4 lbs. - Continues to be the biggest 'mini' in the litter.

Blue Boy is at 3 1/4 lbs. and seems to have a 'gentlemen-ly' personality.

Green Girl is at 3 1/2 lbs and holds her own with the group.

A 'mini-mini' Brown Boy weighs 2 1/2 lbs.  Sweet like a Whoopie Pie.

Purple Girl is 3 lbs. and has a waggy, waggy tail!
