One by one, we are leaving the nest.....

I always call this time bittersweet, as most breeders do. We all know that we do this to place pups with wonderful families that have been waiting for quite sometime to enjoy the antics of a puppy. It is both happy and sad for me.

For 13 weeks, all of you have been watching and posting on this very blog so excited and anxious to finally get to this day. Stay tuned for updates on this post as one by one, they leave our nest.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Friday morning, Cody's family came to take him on a long trip to his new home in Pennsylvania. They told me he did very well on his trip and is showing lots of confidence in his new surroundings. :+)

Today, Miss Lily's owners came and brought along big brother Jasper from my Maple Sugar x Coriander litter. Jasper's soft red/apricot curls against Lily's silky waves is such a stunning combination. They are going to have such fun together!

Callie will be kept very busy with her new home - three new 'littermates' to bond with in different sizes. :+) Get ready for lots of wet, slurpy kisses and tail wags!!

Okay, are they holding a stuffed animal or is it Mac??? This little girl is just not real looking, is she? I take it by all those smiles that she is a real puppy and should keep this family smiling for a very long time.

Brewster was wonderful with these two little girls. This family has been waiting and waiting for a gentle, sweet natured dog and they got that in spades with this sweet guy!

The last of the 'Mohegans' to finally leave! Felix has now been placed with his guardian family and is happily entertaining them. Things look very good for Felix to be one of our studs for qualifying females in about a year or so.

Olive's litter Week 12 - Bonus Week!

Since this is the last time, I will be posting picks, I thought you all would enjoy seeing several pics of the pups in different spontaneous poses.

In no time at all, your pup will be in your arms and that WILL be my last picture to post on the AnnaBlog. Of course, I ALWAYS welcome pics from you to me on how each and every pup is doing growing up. That is a big hint to keep in touch!!!

Some have asked about the pups neck sizes for the Boomerang collar IDs, so I have included this after their weights.

Here are the pics. :+)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Felix Gumshoe - is my choice from this litter to hopefully carry on the Annabelle Doodle tradition. I sure hope he passes his testing, but if not, he will be a wonderful, sweet pet for anyone. A sensitive nature that I adore. 13 & 3/4 lbs. (11 inch neck)

Mac - This girl has been my most photogenic pup ever born here. Several have been easy picture takers, but she has surpassed everyone. She is a people magnet. 10 & 1/4 lbs. (10 1/2 inch neck)

Cody - One of my most difficult pups to take pics of. He loves to look at everything and anything. A guy who will enjoy all that life has to offer. Loves to cuddle. 13 & 1/4 lbs. (10 inch neck)

Lily - Sweet, demure Lily. She is a clone of her mom, Olive, in both looks and personality. A soft, gentle nature who is a willing follower but not a doormat. 13 & 1/4 lbs. (11 inch neck)

Brewster! What a character. Will so enjoy his family and their friends, and friends of their friends plus anyone else that would like to oogle over him. I think he favors his dad through and through and there is nothing wrong with that at all! 15 & 1/4 lbs. (11 inch neck)

Queen Callie. She has been the biggest and the leader of the pack for most of the time. Brewster is now giving her a run for the weight title. She loves attention and pats. Her favorite time of the day is when I prepare their food. She practically dances and sings. This girl will be very easy to train because there is nothing she won't do for food! 15 & 1/4 lbs. (10 1/2 inch neck)

All is well.

Just letting the owners of Cody, Lily and Mac that their surgeries went well and they are resting in the x-pen in the puppy room. They are separated from their 'recovered' siblings so that there is minimal rough housing. They had a good drink, pottied and I am preparing a small meal for them. Later, they will be fed again and I will include a pain med. in their food.

Mac had a tooth pulled while under as it was causing a 'pinch' when she ate; one of Cody's testicles did not decend, so my very able vet had to 'find Nemo' before removing both of them and Lily's surgery was smooth sailing.

Their siblings are being supportive and encouraging. :+) Tomorrow morning they will be screaming to go out and play. They will, but in one of the fenced pens so that their movements will be curtailed for a couple of days while the healing takes place.

Something different for their 11.2 week mark.

They are all black and white!! Thought that would take you for a spin, ha, ha!

Both Brewster and Callie had their surgeries last week and did great. Tomorrow Lily, Cody and Mac go in for theirs. Felix gets a reprieve - lucky boy!

Cody is doing the doodle head tilt and he weighs 12 and 1/2 lbs.

Here is little Mac trying to make her 9 and 1/4 lbs. seem more than it is. :+)

Lily is giving raspberries and is 12 lbs.

Callie will definitely be the muscle pup in this litter. She weighs 14 lbs.!

Brewster just keeps on smiling. This pic is almost identical to last week's shot. 11 and 1/4 lbs.

Same with Felix Gumshoe. They just seem to pose! 12 and 1/4 lbs.

Now different pics of each pup in color for you to enjoy.

Callie peeking under the structure roof.

Felix has such perky ears!

Brewster - ever smiling. :+)

Mac is so fluffy.

Cody is always curious about what is going on.

Lily, who loves to take pics.

I am back!

Hi Everyone,

So sorry for the absence of pics and postings during the past week or so. The passing of my father in law was very consuming as any of you will know if a close loved one has left for a better place.

Then my future daughter in law's shower was in R.I. and I left for that on Friday to help my daughter who was hosting it after only returning to Maine on Thursday. So, this week had me traveling south Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday this past week. Trust me, I am very tired of driving at the moment!!

I took the pups' weights today but was playing 'catch up' on many fronts. Pictures will be taken tomorrow and posted.

Thank you for your many well wishes and prayers. :+)

Ten week pics are up early! :+)

This past week, the pups have really made great strides with regard to 'going' outside. Not 100% but doing so very well! Last night, I even let them loose in the puppy room all night and there were no mistakes - obviously all of them went outdoors through the doggie door when the need arose. In another week or so, I will begin crate training them. Keep your fingers crossed for that to go as well. :+)

Teal Boy will now be known as CODY. This pup has been LONG anticipated. He will most definitely fill their home with 'puppy antics' really soon. 10 1/4 lbs.

Hopefully, Miss Red will be decided on this Saturday. She looks like such a stuffed animal, it is hard to believe she is really a little doggie. I just 'squish' her all the time. 8 lbs.

LILY is the name chosen for Miss Purple. I can't help myself, I keep calling her 'Lilliput' - from a book I read, I think. 10 lbs.

This guy is named BREWSTER! I just have to smile everytime I say it. When I am outside with them I keep calling him 'Brewster, Red Rooster, where are you?' Silly, I know. 9 3/4 lbs.

I AM looking for a local guardian home for FELIX GUMSHOE. I chuckled when the name entered my brain and poor Black Boy is stuck with it. I like names that make me smile. Plus, FELIX was the name of a very famous black cat and he is a rather quiet fellow, so the 'Gumshoe' surname 'fit like a glove'. Perhaps he will become a 'doggie detective' and locate lost cats. :+) 10 1/4 lbs. Sorry about the 'flash', it was needed for definition of his features.

It's official, Green Girl will be named CALLIE (after her great grandmother on mom's side of the family tree). I am sure she will be as beautiful. 11 3/4 lbs.
