This is why Wyatt is such a special boy.

Beth and Wyatt are surely an amazing team.  Yesterday, Wyatt, a newly 'minted' therapy boy went on his first visit to an assisted living facility and brought many smiles and comfort to the people who live there.  What a great pair he and Beth are.  There is no way to describe what a service this is to these people.

Kudos to both you for all the time invested to provide such joy and comfort to so many in such a humble, generous and kindly manner.

Wyatt Slurp is the poster child for snow!

He is such a hoot and I do believe Winter is his favorite time of the year...well next to chasing geese in the fall and pigeons in the summer!  Wyatt simply loves life in general.  What a guy!  :+)

Want to cuddle????

For those who have Wyatt babies....

Just received these pics from his guardian (and she takes amazing pics of him)!  Wyatt is like a fine wine, he grows on you.    :+)

Those of you that have babies that favor him, just watch the praises come when they are mature.  An easy care coat with a great conformation is very pleasing to the eye (and pocketbook!).

Wyatt has an incredible life with his guardians.  This pic is just one of the many adventures he participates in.  What a lucky boy!

WYATT SLURP - Stud

It is with great pleasure that Wyatt Slurp joins our breeding program.  Wyatt traveled all the way from Oregon to join the ADNE family and I could not be more thrilled.  His breeder, Labradoodledoo, painstakingly searched for exemplary stock when she started her program and it paid off in spades for health and temperament. I feel priviledged to have been able to add him to my program.

Words from Wyatt's guardians:

At 11 weeks, Wyatt joined his guardian family.
We had always had golden retrievers, but were looking for a smaller, non-shedding dog this time around.  So, after researching several breeders – and weeding most out – I met Joyce and her darling doodles.   We were “on the list” for a puppy from an upcoming litter so I scheduled some time to meet Joyce in person.  As we were wrapping up our meeting, Joyce mentioned that she would be looking for a guardian home for a hopeful stud.  I had no idea what a guardian home meant or what it involved, but once I saw a picture of this scruffy, green-eyed, soulful chocolate puppy I just knew he was meant to be ours.
We picked Wyatt up two weeks later and have been madly in love ever since.  Wyatt is the most fun, the smartest, the most athletic, the most quirky, the most cuddly and lovable dog that we have ever had…. THE best dog EVER!!!   Wyatt has such an amazing temperament and personality – there has never been a person or dog that doesn’t go crazy over him and he feels the same way about them.  He really has that “je ne sais quoi”.
Before a year, he passed the CGC

Wyatt captivated the trainers at obedience school – passed his Canine Good Citizenship test with flying colors – enthralled all of our friends and family members (neighbors come over and ask if they can take him for a walk!), and has earned the reputation as being the best method for clearing a field of wild geese or a beach of pesky seagulls in about 20 seconds.  In the winter, his favorite job is snow and ice removal.  As soon as he sees his “dad” with the snow shovel, he’s ready for action.

Wyatt is like big dog in a small package.  He is curious and brave, he is always up for a hike, a jog or a doggie play date, and his evening ritual is playing fetch with a toy donut, a soft bone or a stuffed bird.  We often ask ourselves “where did Wyatt come from?”  Well, we know the answer to that but really, I think the stars were aligned and we found each other.  He is the most perfect fit for us and I think Wyatt feels the same.

I was fortunate enough to have some time with Wyatt this morning.

Beth, his guardian, brought him over to my vet for an appointment. What a sweet guy - he wanted to be friends with all the dogs that were around but listened very well to his mom, who kept him focused.

He behaved beautifully for the vet techs and they all love him. His temperament is so friendly and comforting to any who pay attention to him.

Wyatt is 'Tramp' (from the Disney movie 'Lady and the Tramp' but in a different color - same type of coat and look - so adorable and easy to maintain. No tugging out mats on this boy - just a wash and wear non-shedding fur coat!

In these shots, Wyatt has not been cut for four months! Only his eyes and ears have been trimmed. Boy, is that ever a savings in grooming bills.

Wyatt is 35 lbs. of sinew and about 18 inches in height - a solid medium doodle. He has a very Lab-like conformation but is not overly brawny or thick. He has a well developed chest and perfect leg length. His saber tail is all Lab and so are his high set ears.  I love his 'old professor' like eyebrows and grizzly grey muzzle!  Wyatt is truly a wonderful and well loved companion to his guardians.

    Wyatt enjoying a new toy.

I love this boy's looks and personality. So excited to see what he will bring to my program.

    I just have to boast!

Please congratulate our boy WYATT SLURP on passing his Canine Good Citizenship test!  Great going Wyatt and Beth. Thanks so much for continuing his training.  :+)

Wyatt is an F2 Labradoodle that does not shed. He is all 'gussied' up for his award.  :+)

A potential upcoming stud for ADNE

I am so excited about the possibility of this boy becoming a stud for ADNE. His guardian family is just phenomenal and his 'momma' is a superior photographer who updates me with pics all the time which I LOVE!

Everyone, please wish me lots of luck for WYATT SLURP to pass his testing when it is time. I so want babies from this fabulous boy.

Wyatt is an F2 Labradoodle. His slightly wavy coat is easy to maintain because it has no undercoat and does not shed. I love that it is turning to a cafe shade because it just enhances his beautiful eyes.

    I LOVE his look!

    Wyatt's soulful eyes.

    Sunday, December 11, 2016

Wyatt's guardians came to get him today.

What a lucky guy to be going home with these beauties!! A homemade diet, a lovely bed with his name engraved on it and lots of attention to be bestowed on him. Wyatt will be in his glory - as it should be.

Thank you ladies, I am sure the men of the house are very jealous right about now.  :+)

    Wyatt will be leaving soon....

He is such a sweet, calm puppy. His guardians plan to pick him up on Sunday. Till then, he has been helping me decorate like a good little elf should.  :+)

I keep telling him he is very important to my program's future and that he best behave very well for his guardians. My wish is that he pass testing and join our Annabelle Doodle family in about a year as our newest stud. What delicious chocolate sweetness he will produce!

An addition to the Annabelle family has arrived!

Wyatt Slurp, a second generation American Labradoodle puppy is our next hopeful stud to add new DNA to our stud line-up. It is very exciting to look for unrelated prospects that will bring new blood for your breeding females.

When I saw a pic of this boy's dad, I laughed out loud because he looks like a 'cross between Tramp (remember Lady and the Tramp?) and a miniature version of an Irish Wolfhound'.  I have always loved scrappy looking dogs - something about them that warms my heart and tickles my funny bone.

A breeder known for her attention to gentle, calm, therapy lines was exactly what I was searching for. Couple that with excellent Labrador bloodlines with AKC Champions bred with an exceptionally well tested miniature Poodle and I was smitten. Raised in a home environment with five children of assorted ages is such a benefit for socially well adjusted pups.

Wheee! Ears flying with the joy of chasing the other doodles!

WYATT SLURP being lovingly held by Thaxton.
Wyatt showing off his stature. Such a sturdy little guy.

Wyatt is here at ADNE! Our first early generation American Labradoodle!
Wyatt will have a very easy to care for non-shedding coat similar to an Italian Spinonne.

I am not a generation 'snob' when it comes to breeding. One of the primary focuses of my breeding program is to always bring in new DNA to keep inbreeding coefficients low. Purchasing breeding stock from proven healthy stock (test results) promotes healthy puppies. I am looking forward to testing Wyatt in a few months to see if he will make the cut and I sure hope he does! I love his broad head, soulful eyes and easy care slightly wavy non-shedding coat. I expect Wyatt to be around 35 lbs. or so and 18 1/2 inches tall. His sturdy conformation, saber tail and wide muzzle is such a bonus. I believe he also carries for the parti and phantom genes as well.  :+)

Update:  Wyatt lives with his guardian home in Massachusetts and has a wonderful time splashing in the numerous ponds and rivers in the area. He loves to chase wild geese but has not caught one yet!
