We have gone home to our new, wonderful families! Elsie3 x Duckie Litter

The day arrived for our happy families! Soooo exciting! As usual, I went through their puppy booklets, signed contracts, answered questions and then took some pics. It was pretty short but sweet! It will always be a learning curve when you bring a pup into your home but it also provides lots of laughter, entertainment and joy. Nothing is cuter than the antics of a pup! One family has three dog savvy cats and one is already rubbing against their new pup - a wonderful sign of acceptance of a new playmate. :+). Let's hope that the puppy 'potty' stage goes well and training will be begin on a positive note. Start now to mold your pup into a well behaved adult! Have a happy and healthy journey into the next 12 to 14+ years!! :+)

Lola B. with Ken and Mellinda.

Emma with Joan and Joe (picked up on Thursday due to a long travel day).

Luc and Jennifer with Violet.

Mike and John with Cookie.

The gang that came on Saturday to bring their pups home.
What a great photo of all of you!!!  :+)

The Elsie3 x Duckie Litter had their last ride to the vets this afternoon.

As usual, they were great in the car with no mishaps. :+) As soon as I walked into my vets, techs came out to each hold a pup to carry to the room. Lots of loves and pats for all. After each exam check for temp, weight, ears, eyes, patellae, flea check and heart they were given the Distemper and Parvo-virus shot. Then they received their microchip insertion. Each one did a squeak with the microchip but forgave everyone when offered a piece of pepperoni. All did super well and came home for a nap. Thanks to those who have read and signed the SpaySecure contracts - it is appreciated! At the end of the week, all pups will have a bath and pack their bags to be HOME BOUND! :+)

We are EIGHT WEEKS old and getting ready for our new homes next week! (ELSIE3 X DUCKIE)

Oh boy, a lot of our appointments are now behind this litter with one exception - their vaccines on Monday!  Their bags are nearly packed for their new owners, paperwork is being prepared for their take home booklets and they have been assigned, accepted and named!

Here are these little darlings this week:

LOLA B. Assigned to the Abbott household where she will enjoy all the attention.  Lola may also have the opportunity to visit her owner's office often.  No one will get any work done
wanting to cuddle this bundle of curls!  5 1/4 lbs.

VIOLET is like her namesake (a bit shy) and will be with a savvy, dog experienced home where she will gain confidence and thrive.  Thank you Jennifer and Luc!  5 3/4 lbs.

Oh the fun the Cook Family will have with their latest addition - COOKIE!  I am sure
Pumpkin and Cookie will keep the family laughing and busy!  6 3/4 lbs.

And little EMMA will get tons of snuggles and pats from the Davis' who will
enjoy Emma's sweet, gentle and adorable demeanor.  4 1/2 lbs.

Remember to read the contract, get your homes puppy proofed (wires up and covered) and be ready to spend a couple of nights with puppy whining.  This is to be expected and normal.  Get the food for your pup - FROMMS GOLD PUPPY in the pink bag or The Honest Kitchen - turkey or chicken.  I give both to the pups combined as I like feeding them both a wet 'oatmeal' type 'raw' food and a kibble together.  They have done well on both of them.    See all of you soon!  :+)

Temperament Test Day! Elsie3 x Duckie

Up early and had the pups fed, outside for potty, inside for a brushing, nail & eye trim and into my 'pup prepared' vehicle.  They were excellent riders for the hour long drive.

Once there, I placed them into my collapsable pen (when not in use) and nary a sound was made when the first pup went for her test.  I keep the pups in my trainers garage where it is cool.  :+)

All in all, the pups did very well and slept all the way home.  A good day!!

TEAL GIRL:

Once placed in the room, Teal happily greeted Judy with a wagging tail and lots of curiosity.  She navigated the room and all the different 'tools' like a sailor on a ship.

I think playing 'fetch' is going to be a game that Teal will enjoy very much.  :+)

VIOLET GIRL:
Violet enjoyed playing with the 'prey drive' tool and has a very soft mouth.  She also played with balls
gently and brought them back to Judy to toss again.  She always laid back down to wait for Judy to play toss again - Violet enjoys a close relationship with people.

Violet waiting patiently while Judy pats and  massages her before tossing the ball.

CORAL GIRL:
Coral thought the Singing Santa was for her entertainment and enjoyed listening.  She is very
able to handle lots of different sounds and environments.

Yup, Coral marched into the strange environment, pranced right up to Judy and seemed to say....
'So, what do you want to do?'

RUBY GIRL:

Ruby wants to be by her people.  She LOVES people over all things - treats, toys, etc.

Judy 'sits', Ruby sits and focuses on Judy.  Very compliant.  Judy is encouraging Ruby to investigate the tin on the floor which Ruby was a bit scared of but overcame her initial fear and went up to it.  Good girl!!

I'm late, I'm late for a very important date....... Elsie 3 x Duckie Litter at 7 weeks!

A take from Alice and Wonderland but it fit my day!

Our grand-daughters continue to entertain the pups daily (as well as keep me busy).  :+)  Numerous belly rubs abound along with lots of pony tail chewing and 'toe' sampling!

My Temperament Test was changed to Tuesday this week, so I am hoping the write ups will be sent to me by the weekend (or with any luck at all - earlier).  On Wednesday, the pups go for their eye exams in the afternoon.  On the 29th, they have their vaccines, Health Certificates and Microchips.  Busy days ahead!

Ruby Collar is 4 lbs.

Violet Collar weighs 5 1/4 lbs.

Teal Collar is 4 3/4 lbs.

and Chunky Monkey Coral tips the scales at 6 lbs!

I do want to mention that I weighed the pups right after they had a good dinner, so the numbers may be a tad 'padded'.  :+)

Just because these are soooo cute!! Elsie(3) x Duckie litter

Our grand-daughters will be leaving soon and the highlight of their day is to visit with the puppies.  They are here nearly every day and always look forward to giving the pups lots of attention.

Just thought I would share.

Miss Teal having a serious conversation.

Two armfuls of sweetness!

Can the smile be any brighter?

Our girls will be gone at about the same time the pups are being picked up.  So glad they have had the pleasure of enjoying this litter grow up.  Thank you to their father, Joshua, for sending these pics!

SIX WEEKS PICS ARE UP! (Elsie x Duckie Litter)

Yea!  I can hardly believe it - I finally was able to get pics up in the morning!!   The pups all had eye and nail trims and were pretty darn good about being cooperative during our photo session.  Something must be in the air!  :+)

'So, where are we going shopping today?'  Teal Girl at 3 3/4 lbs.

'Home Depot?  Awwww... I was hoping for T.J. Maxx.' Ruby at 3 1/8 lbs.

'Oh goodie!  Let's go!'  Coral Girl is 4 1/4 lbs.

'Can we stop at Pet Smart for a new toy?  Please?'  Violet Girl is 4 lbs.

By the way, Elsie went home with her guardians yesterday.  She spent some time playing with her babies beforehand but was delighted to be with her family.  She happily pranced to their car for her 'happy place' = a car ride!!  The pups did not miss a beat.

Thank you Elsie (and family) for making Elsie's career with ADNE a great experience.  It is truly appreciated.  :+)

FIVE WEEKS and being introduced to the outside pup pen! Elsie3 x Duckie Litter

A few days ago, I was sanitizing the outside pup pen to get it ready for the current litter.  Today, it was not too hot to put them in the pen for the first time.  Initially, they were rather scared and upset but before long, they had found their comfort zone.

Saturdays are such busy days around here.  I always try to get the pics up in the morning but having four grand-daughters here all day makes for limited computer time!

I should mention that one of the girls below is available for a home due to a change of plans from the original buyer.  I don't know which one it will be yet as assignments have not been made, but if you are open to any of them, please send in an application!  :+)

Here are some pics below:

Some of my grand-daughters entertaining the pups in the pup room with Elsie supervising.

Miss Teal Girl sitting pretty.  3 1/4 lbs.

Miss Violet is picture perfect!  3 3/4 lbs.

I had to wake up Miss Coral to take her pic but she was very accommodating.  4 lbs.

Miss Ruby is enjoying the view from the pseudo rock.  2 3/4 lbs.

First visitors!!

This morning our grand-daughters returned from a week away and could not wait to visit with Elsie's pups!  The pups did very well and are looking forward to another visit later today when they return from summer camp.

I sure hope all the families getting one of these pups will visit as often as possible!  In the meantime, I am sure our grand-daughters will keep them entertained!  :+)

As you can see, Elsie has to be included in the mix.  She loves to be the center of attention!!

Also, the pups had their first milk mix meal this morning!  They are on the way to their next growth stage!

ELSIE'S LITTER IS FOUR WEEKS!

Now that the pups are walking, seeing and hearing, it is time to begin scheduling visits.  Although I prefer weekdays, I can typically accommodate some weekends as well.

Soon, they will be going to the small outside pen to enjoy the fresh air and to become more familiar with our small farms noises and smells and also the sounds of nature.  It is always a learning curve around here.  :+)

This is Coral Girl.  She weighs 3 1/4 lbs.

Violet Girl weighs 3 lbs.

Ruby is at 2 1/2 lbs.

Teal girl is at 2 1/2 lbs also.

I also wanted to share some pictures of Winnie playing with the pups.

We are walking and 'talking'! Elsie x Duckie Litter - WEEK THREE

I know I am a day late getting this post done but I took the rest of yesterday off after sending Skye's puppies home with their owners.

Back in the saddle early this morning with sanitizing the puppy room to place Elsie's pups in the spot where Skye's pups were.   There is a bit more space now.  :+)

Another hot day but I took their pics on my entrance deck where we still had some shade.  Here are the cuties.

                                                                        WEEK THREE

Miss Teal weighs 2 1/4 lbs

Miss Ruby is the smallest weighing 2 1/8 lbs.

Miss Violet weighs 2 3/4 lbs.

Miss Coral also weighs 2 3/4 lbs.

In another week or so, these pups will be enjoying the outdoor pen providing we don't have this hot, hot, weather.

The Elsie x Duckie Litter are now TWO weeks!

Getting plump too.  :+)

Their eyes are now open but I will keep them in the office for a few more days.  Once Skye's pups are picked up on Saturday, they will be moved.  With such a small litter, there is no rush at this time.

Elsie continues to take care of them well - they are all quite chunky!  I love this little ceramic painted car - it is perfect for pictures at this age.

I expect these pups to be in the 22 - 25 lb. range, not much higher than that.  In a couple more weeks, I will set up times for visits.  :+)
