DAISY (purple girl) left today. Updated with 'Going Home' pics.

I think her two siblings are happy to have their own space now.  Both Bindi and Wyatt did this on their own with no coaxing from me. It is my hope that they will be comfortable in their own crates when they go home tomorrow but I do expect them to complain a bit.

Hopefully both families are ready to welcome their new companions home. Tomorrow, I will post pics of all three pups with their families as we say 'Goodbye' to the Daisy x Keefer litter.

I just finished giving both Bindi and Wyatt their baths and I think all these pups favor their mom's love of the water! None of them complained at all and just settled in the sink and enjoyed the 'rub a dub dub' complete with bubbles.  :+)  Even using the dryer was a non issue.

So, baths are done, bags are packed and booklets are finished. We are ready!!! I have a clinic to attend to early in the morning and then look forward to your arrivals at 1:30 pm. Please remember to have a crate with you that is not too small - about a 16 inch tall crate is perfect for this trip. Don't forget paper towels and a spray for a clean up if it occurs and stuff for yourself as well. A plastic bag for poops, etc.

See you tomorrow!  :+)

Well here they all are! Happily in their new owners arms and off to an adventure. Before you know it, they will forget all about where they were born and stayed for nine weeks! I am thrilled with their placements and know they will be loved and well cared for. Thank you Woodard, Kelley and McKeon families!

It appears Purple Girl has a family!

Tomorrow morning, I have a family coming to meet her and if all goes well, take her home. I love that they have a fenced yard, lots of dog experience and a young girl who was wishing for a mini apricot doodle to cuddle with.   :+)

Daisy's pups saw my vet today.

I was amazed that none of them made a peep during the 35 minute trip to my vet. They were so quiet, and they continued to be quiet at the vets as well. I brought them all in with my carriage and they were so good.  :+)

The examinations went very well and each was given a worm medicine as a preventative. Heartbeats were good, ears clear and patellae normal. Each were given a Health Certificate.

Tomorrow morning, we are off again to visit the eye vet.  :+)

DAISY X KEEFER LITTER at EIGHT WEEKS!

Boy or boy, these pups are ready to rock and roll! They are doing great with the dogie door and so enjoy coming and going at will. I do put them in the pen several times a day for naps and chill time but they will also all huddle together on the step for snoozes as well.

Having the adult doodles outdoors with them is great for their development and understanding dog language - each adult has their own methods and the pups are learning from all.

Yesterday, I posted them having fun outdoors, today's photos are more studious.

Precocious Bindi is 6  3/4 lbs at 8 weeks.

Purple Girl is such a mini size, she can sit on the stool easily. 5  1/4 lbs. at 8 weeks.

I think Wyatt would dent the stool if he tried to sit on it - a whooping 9 lbs. at 8 weeks.

DAISY X KEEFER litter of fun snapshots outdoors!

The pups are just whizzing through our dogie door to go outside and play these days. They just love chasing each other and our other doodles. There are so many balls, toys, stuffed animals and such - it is like an extension of my house for picking up!

Little Purple Girl (needs a special home) is still healing from her left eye ulcer but doing very well and playing with her siblings without the cone on now. She chased the rake as I worked and is full of spunk!

Here are some pics for you to enjoy.  :+)

Purple Girl (L) with Bindi.

The three of them playing tug with a little toy.

Looks like Wyatt may be the winner this time around.

Bindi likes to 'collect' the toys and surround herself with them.

Here she is again looking for more. Gotta love a girl that enjoys 'bling'.  :+)

Wyatt has managed to keep a toy or two for himself.

OOPS! Look at this! The littlest pup has captured the prize and is strutting her winnings!

Just an adorable shot of Wyatt and Bindi.

Yep, wrestling is in full form.

Space, company and dirt.......

Make for messy but happy puppies!

Finally, Daisy and her pups are going outdoors to play for a bit. They love to follow mommy and Auntie Gunny outdoors to run, taste sticks and chase balls.  It is especially fun to pull and bite on momma Daisy as Gunny sits on the sidelines watching.

Enjoy the first set of the pups enjoying the messy outdoors.  Soon the snow will be gone and the yard will dry up and REALLY be a fun place for all to enjoy.

DAISY X KEEFER - WEEK SEVEN

In a little more than two weeks, your puppies will be home with you - doesn't seem possible, does it? Thankfully, with this rain, the snow is melting off most of the puppy yard and I am working daily trying to convince the pups to venture outdoors. The rest of the week should be very mild here, and I surely will be taking pics of them outdoors SOON.

Temperament testing had to be cancelled for tomorrow as my trainer is ill. We are both hopeful it will be done before they go home and I will let you know if that happens.

As I weigh these pups week by week, I am super surprised that Wyatt is tracking to be around 35 lbs.; Bindi around 28 lbs. and little Purple Girl about 18 to 20 at maturity. This is not set in stone but originally, I thought Wyatt was going to be a 40+ pounder!

Although Daisy has no milk, she still allows the pups to suckle and she enjoys being with them - as does Gunny and Annabelle.  :+)

Here is Wyatt showing off his climbing skills.

Bindi LOVES tug and poor Mr. Catapiller is doing his best to keep his tail on.

These two brave girls are checking out the ramp and the world beyond the pup room.

Soft natured Wyatt needed lots of coaxing to venture outside but he did it!

Today's pics were really cute so I decided to post two shots of each puppy for you to enjoy. They liked the new rabbit and were pulling it every which way when I decided to add it to the pail.

Wyatt is now a respectable 7  1/2 lbs.

Still so easy to photograph.

Bindi weighs 5  3/4 lbs.

Bindi is such a ham and quite brave!

Purple Girl (available) likes to climb...just about anything.

She is still tiny (and mighty) at 4  1/4 lbs.

Note about Purple Girl:

This little girl is recovering from an eye ulcer that is healing nicely at this time.  She continues to see my canine opthalmologist as her condition improves. Worse case scenario is that the eye may need to be removed if she has a recurring issue. However, at this time, my vets feel this is a long shot and her prognosis is very good.  :+)

WEEK SIX FOR DAISY AND KEEFER'S PUPS!

Fully equipped with teeth, nails and attitude, the sixth week is full of wrestling, pulling, climbing and energy.  They still nap as soundly as they play and it is fun to watch them 'collapse' when the need arrives.

Happily, they have all gained a pound or more this week including little Cayman! I also cut their nails again (grows like crazy!) and refilling their water bowl often. Daisy is in full weaning mode and I am only allowing her to nurse morning and evening - otherwise, the gate is closed. When she interacts with them during the day, I put her in a 'Onsie' to prevent the pups from being able to nurse. In a few days, she won't need the it as her milk supply will be very much depleted.

I have scheduled their Temperament Test for April 5th.

Lastly, their pick up date will be Sunday, April 23 at 1:30 pm. Is that a problem for anyone? Please be sure you read my contract and warranty and also go to the AnnaBlog and look for the Pup Supply label on the right-hand side. Don't buy everything! Do be sure to order the Snuggle Puppy though!

Bindi - 4  3/4 lbs.  Chuck full of energy! Doesn't like the vacuum.

Wyatt - 6  3/4 lbs. Still a chill and low key boy.

Cayman - 3  1/2 lbs. Not at all bothered by the vacuum, likes to climb and loves visiting; but not the eye drops so much.

Bindi staking her claim to Mr. Lion as I clean.

Wyatt likes the very same spot and he and Bindi keep taking turns.  He is almost asleep!

Cayman has patience and now has Mr. Lion all to herself!

I JUST LOVE THE FIFTH WEEK! (Daisy x Keefer)

The fifth week of a puppy's life is so fun and rewarding. They are finally developing personalities, walking more firmly and enjoying playing with each other and exploring.

Daisy has indicated that it is time for them to begin the weaning process so they are beginning to eat 'real' food, along with gruel made from Goat's Milk and The Honest Kitchen dehydrated food three times a day.  They are also doing a decent job of using the potty box and are making a conscious choice to 'go to their' bathroom when it is nearby and accessible.

Some of the adult doodles are also introducing themselves to the pups with good results - especially Gunny, who thinks pups are the best toys EVER! Of course, Daisy is with them several times a day, sometimes with Gunny tagging along.  :+)

The first few pics show how much they have risen on their learning curves.  :+)

Bindi, Cayman and Gunny.

I placed a 'crinkly' bag with an empty can in it into their pen to see who would be brave enough to check it out.
As you can see, Bindi is looking at it tentatively.

WYATT (Blk. Boy) did the same thing. What these pics don't show is Cayman - who looked at the bag,
went right up to it to check it out, dragged it a bit and then said 'It is fine, you guys can play with it'.

During this morning's play time in the pup room area, Wyatt decided to pose right on top of the slide.

It has never failed, all pups love to play on or near the stair.

Here is Bindi! She is not terribly brave of new things yet, but IS curious and social.  3  3/4 lbs

Wyatt is the most photogenic pup ADNE has ever had. He is mellow, sensitive and amiable as well. 5  1/2 lbs

The mouse that roars! Cayman is tiny, brave, curious and spirited. She IS The Leader of the Pack!  2  1/2 lbs

As far as how big they will all be - all I can give you are guesses based on how they are tracking:
  • I feel Wyatt will be the largest and favor his sire's weight of a minimum of 35 lbs. and about 18+ inches in height.
  • Bindi should be about 17+ inches and weigh around 28 to 30 lbs.
  • Little Cayman may favor one of her great-grandparents on her mom's side and be about 15 inches and weigh between 18 to 25 lbs. at maturity.

We had some puppy visitors yesterday and

I would like to share some pics of the pups that they shared with me!

Blk Male on left and little Caymen on right.

Love this one of Caymen.

This little girl is going to be a Princess, for sure.  :+)
Miss Bindi made lots of friends today. :+)

The three of them did not want the fun to end.
