Soon we will all be in our homes! Week 11

It does not seem possible but in another week, all but Figgy, will be picked up and on their way to new destinations. These pups have grown so much and have enjoyed their short stay here at Annabelle Doodles.

People ask me this all the time - 'are you sad to see them go?' I can't say I am sad, as I have spent enormous amounts of time with all their families via visits, phone calls, emails and such. All of them go to live with wonderful people who will care for them and treat them like their children and grandchildren, so I can't say I am sad. Will I miss them? Sure, I miss all the pups that have been brought into this world at Annabelle Doodles. I do take comfort in knowing I have done my best to assure each and every one of them a spectacular placement and this gives me great peace. :+)

-----------------------------------------------------------

Here is Oscar! Still the stoic look that he has had the whole time. I think his 'look' has earned him the name association of 'Oscar, the Grouch'!! As his family can attest, he is not grouchy at all and weighs 10 & 1/2 lbs.

Delilah, the energizer bunny. Loves to be in the thick of things. Loves to be cuddled and loves to investigate her world and beyond. Such an innocent expression belies a very inquisitive mind. Del weighs 9 & 3/4 lbs.

Miss Bali, has such a smooch face! She has great focus and just enough spirit to be entertaining. Belly rubs and lots of attention suit her perfectly. I think her family will give this to her in large doses. 9 & 1/2 lbs. this week.

I am told that Blue Boy is getting very close to a name, I can hardly wait until a choice is made. This boy is such a love bug. A rugged boy who loves to wrestle and play....and sleep! 12 lbs.

Oliver's people came to see him last weekend and he just wanted to be petted, cuddled and fussed over. A very laid back pup who is very happy just being with someone. A 14 lb. Teddy Bear.

Newman is going to love being outdoors with his buddies. Whether it be playing ball or chasing leaves, it will be Newman's cup of tea. It appears he will be very active in the car department as well since his family has lots of activities they participate in. Newman weighs 12 lbs.

In the beginning, I thought Figgy was going to be a firecracker, but I was wrong. Instead, she has become a 'melt in your hand' M & M. She is docile, soft natured and gentle as a summer breeze. When she approaches you, it is with the intent to have you touch her so she can lie down with all fours in the air. I am delighted about this and hope she will join our program and pass those genes down to her progeny. The biggest girl at 11 & 3/4 lbs.

Eloise goes home. :+(

After many weeks of waiting, Miss Eloise Moppet has finally gone to her guardian home in Dover, New Hampshire.

These ladies have been waiting for a long time for 'Miss Sweetness' and are thrilled to introduce Elle to their two cats and elderly Beagle.

I will miss her furry body in my lap at night as we watch t.v. and my hubby will miss her antics as she would always climb on his belly and lick his face all over. I know she is in a wonderful home and will do really well but it will take a bit more time for us to get use to her not being underfoot. We will keep our fingers crossed for replicas of Eloise in the future. Her perspective mate should be arriving in a week. Of course, we will be looking for a guardian home for him as well.

Here she is on our table - all 12 inches tall of her.

Her constant 'perch' in the puppy room. She was definitely 'Queen of All Things' and the pups knew it.

The happy family. :+)

Both Bali and Delilah had their surgeries today.

They are both doing just fine and sleeping off the rest of the anesthetic effects after having a small meal and a pain soother. Their blood work was perfect and the surgery & micro chipping was done without a hitch. When they woke up, they were alert and found their voices. Thankfully, the vet techs in the surgical area love my puppies and they had lots of cuddles and kisses.

Since they needed to be fasted for the surgery, it is advisable to give them only small amounts of food initially. I will give them another small dish of food later on so they can have full bellies for the long evening.

They are separated from their 'feisty siblings' so that healing can begin. The patients are contained within the x-pen and their brothers and sister, Figgy, will sleep outside the pen on the Teddy Bear and Caterpillar tonight. They will probably get me up very early tomorrow. Yawn!

Fashion pics of the Olive x Cori litter at 8 weeks.

I have been told that my original post of these pics did not show up. Can someone tell me if these do?

I adored this photo shoot and thought the pups were a hoot, so I hope they can be seen!

This is part of my original posting:

Hi everyone,

Their learning curve this week has included becoming very familiar with the dogie door. When released from their x-pen, they all dash outdoors to climb on the snow, potty and play chase. Sometimes, I allow Bella and Eloise to play with them, but when they get too rowdy, I separate them. So I do a lot of switching from one group to the other. I like to call it 'recess rotation'. :+) Olive's pups get the priority slot after every meal to encourage them using the outdoors for potty.

They also enjoy playing with the new plastic infant tunnel - they have bark fests peeking at each other underneath the 'bridge'.

This is FIGGY PUDDIN' in her fancy furry hood. Be careful of the big, bad wolf, Figgy!

DELILAH is adorable in her sequins and bow.

Not to be outdone, BALI steps out in style wearing her polka dot hat and beads.

BLUE BOY is not into clowning around. What a party pooper!!!!

OSCAR was 'singing in the rain', but the umbrella does not show up very well. He is such a ray of sunshine. :+)

NEWMAN is all boy, ready for fishing, pool dipping or a luau.

OLIVER is all class. Right down to the 'tails'.

FINALLY! The Clara Belle x Clifford litter going home pics!!!

Here are the happy new owners of Clara Belles small, but lovely litter.

Albert, lovingly called 'fat Albert' as a chubby infant, has become the long awaited companion of this family. Dad has some bad allergies, but so far, has been doing extremely well. Congratulations Knowles Family!!! By all posts from you, all of you are totally enjoying Albert.

Smiles all around for Clancy! This couple lost their companion and were dearly wanting another to love. Clancy is a 'love sponge' doodle and I know will keep them 'exercising' for many more years. :+)

Lucky for them and unlucky for me 'Bella', known throughout this litter as 'Hazel' as I wanted to keep her, has become this couple's new addition. Mom says that 'Dad just lights up when he comes home to snuggle with Bella'. How sweet is that? :+)

Olive's litter is now 10 weeks old.

It appears that taking outside shots is not going to work for some time - if I want clean looking puppies! We still have lots of snow and now it is melting and that makes for wet and sometimes even muddy looking pups. :+(

They are now at the stage where they get 'kitchen time'. There is a big difference between a litter of three running around your kitchen AND a litter of seven. They love exploring and learning about the 'language' of the adults. Nothing like having FOUR mommies telling you what you can and can not do. :+)

-------------------------------------------------------

FIGGY PUDDIN' is adorable in every way. I love her coat and temperament and believe if she passes testing well, Figgy will be another wonderful addition to the Annabelle Doodle family. I hope a local guardian home will come soon. Figgy will be a medium girl at maturity and weighs 10 & 1/4 lbs. at ten weeks.

Sweet, dainty Rose has a new name and it is 'BALI'. Her new family is over the moon with her and can't wait for Bali to join them. She weighs 8 & 1/4 lbs. Bali will be on the small side like daddy.

Introducing 'OSCAR'! No more Orange Boy for an ID. :+) He will have the luxury of enjoying two homes as his owners visit their second home almost every weekend. What a lucky boy.

NEWMAN's family had a hard time making up their minds as two boys were neck and neck for a good match. Finally, it was decided by all that 'Teal' would offer a 'wider' palette of adventure and energy for their busy family of three children. Newman was named after the wonderful and handsome actor Paul Newman. Weight this week of 9 & 3/4 lbs.

Blue Boy (waiting for his name) will join his family once they come home from their vacation. They saw his pic and fell in love. (Who wouldn't?) He reminds them of a doodle they saw in Florida and have been searching for a year. What a treasure he will be for them! The fact that they also have a four year old Golden for him to buddy up with is just perfection. :+)

Rainbow Girl has a new name and it is DELILAH! She is looking forward to spending lots of time with her new family. She loves to cuddle and be played with. Delilah has plenty of spunk to go around and her new stay at home mom is eager to provide lots of entertainment and training for this curious girl. Her new daddy and human siblings will provide her with lots of fun engagements. Another little one at 8 & 1/2 lbs. Love her name - all I can think about is Kenny Rogers song where he croons.... 'Why, why, why, Delilah? Can't get it out of my head now. :+)

Black Boy is 'OLIVER'! His temperament is soft and mellow - even his bites are gentle. A retired couple is thrilled and I think Oliver will 'take' them for walks which will be good for all! Somehow, I also see him joining them on the couch. :+) Still the heaviest in the group at 11 & 3/4 lbs. ........ more to cuddle with.

Congratulations to all you new puppy owners! Everyone

seems to be very happy with their assigned pups and that pleases me greatly. :+)

Tomorrow, I plan on getting their new pics up as the weather today is awful, so keep a look out. I hope to get some pics of them outdoors if at all possible.
