Matchmaker, matchmaker...make me a match!

As it happens every now and again, I am able to have one of my guardian girls with me for a few days for either testing or a visit.

Fortunately, her guardian's vacation and Camden's final testing protocol coincided perfectly.

Cappy is happy as a clam to have another friend to play with and he is not aware yet, that Camden is slated to be one of his breeding partners when he is cleared for breeding.

They took to each other right away and have been playing and sleeping near each other since her arrival.

Sometimes, I swear they whisper 'sweet nothings' in each ones ears.  It is very cute to watch as they play bow, chase, wrestle and sometimes sit together in the little yellow sandbox car to rest.

Camden has a lovely soft medium curling cream coat and is non-shedding.  I think it will be a great pairing and look forward to it in about a year.  In the meantime, when Camden comes into heat, it will be with a different stud as Cappy is not quite ready yet.

More Cappy pics!

Can you say straight, saber tail?
How Cappy loves to play ball!
Olive has the ball but Cappy has his eye on it to steal it back!  They love to play together.

Cappy, Capi, Cappi - leads to Capriccio!

No matter the spelling or the 'nicknames', Cappy (I like this spelling the best) continues to be such an awesome pup.  He gets along with all my girls so very well and is giving them lots of opportunities to play chase, fetch and tug.  He is, however, a sock thief!  He and Willis are constantly searching and sharing them - (only the used ones, of course!)  :+)

Yes, we continue to look for that special guardian home as Cappy deserves an amazing one with a large yard; and perhaps a place for swimming nearby.  A furry friend to be his buddy would be a bonus!  I know we are asking for a 'golden egg' situation, but why not?

Cappy is extremely stable and would  do quite well in a city environment with all the noise and hustle 'n' bustle of one, but we much prefer a more rural placement where woods, field, shoreline and space abound.

A social boy, he gets along with dogs, adults and children beautifully and would be a fabulous companion to any family wanting a furry friend.

I am registering Cappy for puppy class beginning June 12th, as continued learning is important for a well mannered pet.  This is the kind of pup that would make an AMAZING therapy dog.  He has it all.

Cappy sits for me without wiggling when I harness him for car rides or put on his leash; he waits calmly at the bottom of the stairs when I ask; does not bark unless prompted by an unusual noise; lies quietly by your side when I am reading or on the computer and uses our dogie door routinely, with just a few mistakes - so well on his way to house training.

He is crate trained for the evening from 11 PM to 6 or 7 AM.  Cappy loves to cuddle but is not 'needy' or 'anxious'.  He is not an obsessive licker but willingly gives kisses.  His coat is soft, silky, luxurient and non-shedding.

This is a strong medium sized boy with a sturdy conformation and unwavering temperament.  He has a valuable pedigree and a healthy family tree history.  We expect that Cappy will produce some wonderful puppies for responsible breeders to enhance the future of the Labradoodle community.  Finding him a guardian with those same values is our goal and we welcome inquiries and visits.

A REFERENCE Page.

Many times, I have been asked to provide potential buyers with references.  Since I value people's privacy and don't like to keep asking for their permission to send out emails or phone numbers, I am going to have a REFERENCE post on the Point's To Ponder segment of this AnnaBlog.

I have already emailed my customer list to ask for a 'report card'.  :+)

THE FIRST ANNABELLE DOODLE ROMP IS PLANNED!

For those of you that I might have missed on my 'mass mailing', please mark your calendar for SATURDAY, JUNE 23, 2012 to join us at the Berwick Bark Park in Berwick, Maine from 11 to 3 PM.

The park's website is:  http://www.berwickbarkpark.com  It is brand new and very clean.  The area is fully fenced and has running water to fill water bowls and swimming pools.  A dogie toilet station with bags and a lovely 'chow truck' for us humans to have some yummy food/sandwiches/drinks is provided.  Again, their website has a link for the food menu and price list.  There is also a Port A Potty for two legged attendees, some chairs for sitting and amble off road parking.  The website has an address so you can plug it into your navigational systems.  The owners are Chris and Mary and they will be there to be sure all is well.  (Me, too!)

There is a $10.00 admittance fee to help defray the cost of renting the area for the day but I felt this would be so much better than having it at my house with limited space for parking and doodle running!  By the way, I am planning to have 3 games that should be fun to participate in.  Hopefully, there will be enough doodles to join in!  Lastly, I would love to have a dog costume parade or best hat on a doodle!  Something silly and fun.  :+)  Any one game???

Capi and I go to Dog Mountain!

Me with one of my boys who joined us on the trip!
After all his swimming, fetching, running and climbing, Capi takes a break.

Capi LOVES the water!  One of his many entries of the day.
He waits for me to catch up as we climb to the top of the knoll for a spectacular view!

This shows some of the people, dogs and the dog pond.

The gallery building is delightful inside.

Capi sits with carvings done by the late Stephen Huneck who created Dog Mountain.
It is open to the public at no cost but donations are appreciated.
Posted by PicasaIt was a wonderful weekend of visits to St. Johnsbury for lunch outdoors, dog friendly artisan shopping and enjoying the fabulous weather.  The Inn at Maplemont in Barnet, Vt. is an earthy bed and breakfast that is so dog friendly, providing comfortable beds, with a relaxed atmosphere and exceptional service.

Capi, as expected, was a wonderful and polite guest and made lots of new four-legged and two-legged friends.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY 2 yr. olds from Olive x Chico 5/15/10!!!

I cannot believe how times flies around here.  Brewster's owners emailed me about their 'wonder dog' and of course I wanted to post and hope that more siblings will send me their 2 year old pics.  (HINT!)

Here is the very handsome Brewster to start things off!

I love this pic of Felix.  Although his coat looks bleached out, it is the sun -
Felix is all black as you can see in the picture below.  :+)

Felix sure know how to pick a comfortable spot!  That couch just beckons for a nap!!

Callie is another beauty from this litter!  Thanks for the new photo Kerry!
