Oh boy, oh boy...can Tillie's pups get any cuter???? Update: A couple of outdoor pics added!

This is their seventh week and these pups are just 'the bomb'! How I wish she had produced more of them!

They play very well together and love exploring and just running around chasing each other or a ball. It seems they also enjoy climbing the small play equipment and think the 'bumpy' trash can lid is lots of fun to wiggle on.

My intent was to take these pics first and then a bit later, to take them outdoors for the first time in the snow. We shall see, so stay tuned.

Orange Boy at 7 wks. weighs 6 1/2 lbs. I still think he looks like a Twinkie!
The first one to want to be on your lap to give kisses.  :+)

Teal Boy at 7 wks. weighs MORE than Orange! He is 6 3/4 lbs. but you would never know it.
He loves to have his belly rubbed and seems a bit 'soft' natured. Sweet little man.

Georgie at 7 wks. is 5 3/4 lbs. and a confident girl!
She loves to check all things out and play 'keep away' with her bigger brothers.

I did go outdoors to clear some snow and brought out the pups, one by one, because they were unsure of both the dogie door, the ramp and the 'new smell of the outdoor air'. I could not leave the door open too long with Hazel's 3 week litter in there so opted to 'hand deliver' them outdoors.  :+)

Before long, they were checking out the snow and the various 'stuff' under the snow. We were not out long but they did enjoy themselves! Hopefully, this excursion will be followed by many more before they go home.

Here are a couple of pics.

Even with Georgie's 'feeble' words of encouragement, the boys stayed in.

Touching snow for the first time!

Orange must be thinking he 'landed' on a different planet.

Teal Boy is 'digging' it.

They found the caterpillar and were in perfect alignment for this shot.  :+)

What a surprise I had today! (RETIRED)

I was very happy to hear that my guardians for Tip O'Keefe, one of my hopeful studs, was coming to visit today. Imagine my surprise when Keefer left as an apricot and returned looking like this!

I was totally stunned! This photo was not retouched in any way. The day was grey, not sunny and my camera was in 'sport mode'. Typically, cream or apricot doodles that darken as they age carry a gene called 'Rufus'. It is known as the darkening gene and is not common. Most breeders who have a dog that carry this gene are thrilled and I am no exception!  :+)

Keeping my fingers crossed that this boy has wonderful test scores for inclusion as a stud in my program. He has the looks, the fabulous temperament and a coat to drool over but we won't know until I test him when he is a year - which is about 6 months away.  Till then, he is being insanely loved by his guardians who are doing a superlative job of training and socializing him. Kudos Sandra and Greg!  :+)

Hazel x Emmett's litter at THREE WEEKS OLD.

Totally comfortable in the puppy room, Hazel's pups continue to grow. Still very young to be doing much except learn where the potty box is which they are doing quite well with! They still don't see a whole lot but there is some gentle playing going on. Most of the time they eat and sleep.

This has been the first litter to be so uniform in weights! No one is exceptionally large or tiny - very, very consistent. Really, I can't wait until they start DOING something!  :+)

A pic of most of them in their area.

Camo Boy weighs 1 1/2 lbs, the lightest pup in the litter.

Buttercup Girl is 2 lbs.

Russet Boy is 1 3/4 lbs.

Purple Girl is 2 lbs.

Blue Boy is 2 lbs.

Red Boy is 2 lbs.

Green Girl is 2 lbs.

Hazel's litter has joined Tillie's litter in the Pup Room.

I was a bit hesitant to do it during this very cold week but the radiant floor works great and we also have a ceiling heater that comes on automatically if the temp drops too low. I also used a baby bumper for drafts and cover the pen at night with a blanket as another precaution. They seem to be very comfortable and are doing well. As I tend to be a hopeful individual, I even added a potty box to their spot and some have even used it! I am always amazed when this happens at such a young (2.3 wks.) age.

Hazel has taken to motherhood like a duckling to a pond and is doing a fabulous job.  :+)

This pic was taken when I first moved them in yesterday.

Hazel offering a snack.

She is so calm and comfortable.

Hazel looks like a very happy mom as evidenced by her big smile.  :+)

Six weeks old and going strong! (Tillie x Emmett trio.)

Week six is going quite well with Tillie's pups. Tillie has spent most of her time back with her guardians, Joanne and Bob. She is very happy being their 'princess' once again.  :+)  Of course, she does not know yet that Georgie will be joining their household in a few weeks.

This trio really enjoys being in the pup room with their pen gate open. They especially love exploring the wooden box under my Craftsman vacuum - see Orange Boy's pic on the right.  :+)

I am hopeful more people will come visit for socialization so don't hesitate to call or email for an appointment! Remember, visitors must fill out an application (no obligation) before visiting!

Georgie Girl is finding her mojo, our resident cheerleader. She weighs 5 1/4 lbs.

Orange Boy is 6 lbs., but he resembles the Patriot's linebacker, Cannon. He has a lot of  'width' to him

Teal Boy is also 6 lbs., but is streamlined like Tom Brady.

Here the trio is wrestling with an empty milk jug. Just look at the difference between Orange and Georgie!

Ranger aka Blue Boy from the Camden x Emmett litter.

It is with much happiness that I post about Blue Boy, now Ranger, being in his permanent home. He was picked up this morning in spite of a bit of Mother Nature's nasty tricks.

This family owns an Annabelle doodle, Winston, from an earlier litter and exclaimed that what Ranger needed for a great placement is what they could offer and the arrangements were made.

When I met Winston, I knew this was the place for Blue Boy - as Winston is a perfect role model for this pup as well as the family dynamics!

This is a pic when they picked up Winston two years ago. :+)

Aha! Hazel's litter gets a photo shoot!

So happy the holidays are slowly moving along as we all move forward into 2015. Yes, I am still decorated with Christmas stuff but am taking my time taking them down. The house is so bare once I am finished. :+(

Much going on here still. My guardians have visited their sweet mommas and Tillie is actually staying overnight at her guardians as her pups now eat real food and enjoy doing so. They drink from the Lixit Water Bottle like champs and that makes me happy. Far better than spilling water all over the place numerous times a day. Tillie's pups will have their pics up on Monday (at 6 weeks old).

Hazel is doing super with her pups and little Camo Boy is still the smallest favoring his mom's genes but the rest are amazingly similar - varying by small fractions that I did not include. They have just opened their eyes this week but still cannot 'see' - just shadows. In another few days, they will be able to regulate their body heat and will be moved to the puppy room once Ranger (Camden's Blue Boy) leaves on Sunday. So I continue to play 'musical chairs' with space. They are still very frightened when I pick them up and carry them about and complain plenty about being moved. This will pass when they can see and hear better.  :+)

Do not be concerned with the glaze you see on their eyes in the pics. They are 'brand new' eyes and some pigment is still being absorbed back into their body. It is normal.

Purple Female weighs 1.7 lbs. at 2 weeks.

Buttercup Female is 1.7 as well at 2 weeks.

Green Female weighs the same as her sisters at 2 weeks

Red Male is also 1.7 lbs. at 2 weeks.

Blue Male is the heaviest right now at just a smidgen over 1.7 lbs. at 2 wks.

Russet Male is 1.3 lbs. at 2 weeks.

And this little piggy is Camo Male at 1.1 lbs. at 2 weeks.
