Charlotte is in heat and will be mated soon.

As is typical, my plans must flex once again. I was expecting Charlotte to cycle in November but she has other plans, so it looks like a Christmas litter!

I plan to breed Charlotte to Tip O'Keefe in about 10 or so days. The pups produced will be sturdy mediums that will range from 18 to 21 inches in height and 32 to 40 lbs. in weight. Coats will be non-shedding wavy fleece in shades of cream, apricot and red.

Based on what I know at the moment, I expect pups to be ready for homes in the month of March 2017.

My list is open at this time.

This is Charlotte enjoying the comfort of her couch.

Nellie Bly has gone home with her guardians today.

A lot has happened today. We had Nellie's family come over to visit with the pups and Nellie was so, so happy to see them. Nellie is quite ready to leave her fur-babies and happily trotted to their car with nary a 'see you later'!

Also, her pups went outdoors for the first time today and totally enjoyed the experience. They were a bit tentative at first but quickly decided being outdoors was quite nice. :+)

Lastly, Tate's guardian and family came to visit and enjoyed her pups. Tate was also taken out for an afternoon of recreation and her pups have not missed a beat with her absence. Tate is targeted to return permanently to her guardian home on Friday.

There was lots of sniffing and wondering at first.

Pink Collar Girl was quite brave as the rest looked on.

It takes one to do it first and the rest generally follow suit.

Cute little trio.

As Nellie was hugged, some pups stole a slurp of milk.

It did not take long at all for Nellie to stand up and skip off from nursing duties!

TATE & EMMETT LITTER - WEEK FOUR

Tate continues to be an excellent mom - sometimes, she is too good of a mom and won't leave them alone! In about a week or so, she will be returning to her guardian mom as long as I am able to wean her from those pups!

They are beginning to play a bit but still sleep a lot. Each day I keep offering them a gruel and they are only mildly interested since Tate is such a 'smother mom'. Hopefully, this will change over the next week.

Green Boy is 2 3/4 lbs.

Rose Girl is 3 1/4 lbs.

Orange Boy is the heaviest at 4 lbs.

Brown Boy is 3 3/4 lbs.

Yellow Boy is 2 3/4 lbs.

Black Girl is barely 2 1/2 lbs. this week.

NELLIE & EMMETT'S LITTER - WEEK 5

Oh golly it has been a wicked crazy day for me. My apologies for getting these pics up so late. I really do try to get them up by early afternoon but today was unusually packed for me, so here they are.

Red Girl is 4 3/4 lbs.

Blue Boy is 3 1/4 lbs.

Pink Girl is 3 1/2 lbs.

Phantom Girl is 4 1/2 lbs.

Purple Girl is 3 1/2 lbs.

Teal Girl is 4 3/4 lbs.

I am pretty sure Red, Phantom and Teal girls will mature close to 30 lbs. while the others will be around 25 lbs.  I expect Blue Boy will be around 22 lbs. or less. He has been tracking to be the smallest all along.

Hopefully, I will be able to bleach the fenced area outdoors so these pups can be outside for a bit. The temperature needs to be mild and the area cleaned and sanitized before I can do this. Then I hope to post some pics of them exploring the outdoors.  :+)

The BEAUTIFUL blacks!

I LOVE BLACK PUPPIES! I think they are simply regal with those sparkling coats. Just could not resist putting two in a halloween bucket to show off.  These are two of Nellie's ebony darlings.    :+)

TATE X EMMETT LITTER - THREE WEEKS!

Having two litters only a week apart is such a lesson in the learning curve of pup development. Nellie's litter has grown by leaps and bounds during the 3 to 4 week marker. I never noticed it before as this is the first time I have had litters this close. Amazing!  :+)

During this week, Tate's litter will be getting their mojo and fun pics will begin.

Black Girl - 2 dainty pounds at Week 3.

Green Boy is 2 1/4 lbs. at three weeks of age.

Rose Girl is 2 1/2 lbs. at three weeks.

Yellow Boy is 2 1/4 lbs. at three weeks.

Orange Boy is exactly 3 lbs. at 3 weeks.

Brown Boy is also 3 lbs. on week three.
