Daisy & Wyatt had a date this morning!

A successful tie was accomplished so we will know if pups are coming in a month!  Both were very happy to see each other.  Wyatt has a habit of 'wrapping his paws' around his girlfriends throughout the entire tie.  It is very endearing.  Daisy got a bit tired and wanted to sit down from 'all that hugging' so I had to be her brace.  What we don't do for our dogs.  😉

I am sure Wyatt is taking a nap all the way home.  Daisy looks like she had one heck of a whirlwind romance!  :+)

Little DUCKIE MALLARD'S Page

Oh goodness!  This little man is just 'duckie'!  Fifteen (six months) pounds of adorable!!  I bet if he gets to 20 lbs, that would be pushing it.  I had been searching for quite some time for another miniature male stud hopeful now that Lil Abner is retired.  Happily, this little boy became available and the big bonus was that he is a chocolate and tan phantom that also carries for the parti gene - that made me smile.

Although I had named him Credence, I decided to change it to DUCKIE MALLARD and he lives with another ADNE stud named Phineas T. Barnum and they get along great.  Big brother shows him the ropes and provides protection from creatures big and small that might scare Duckie.

Lucky little pup also gets to join his friends weekly at his day care facility and they all love him there.  A friendly, willing to please kind of guy (definitely food motivated) he certainly is growing up happy and loved.  Let's keep asking the testing angels to gift him with great results in a few more months.  :+)

Showing off his patches of white on his chin and chest.  You can also barely see his tan phantom markings on his feet and spread lightly over his cheeks.  When he is trimmed up, it will show up more.  His silky curls are sooo soft!

If you make the pic larger, you can see his gorgeous green eye.  He does have two of them!  :+)

What his guardians have to say about Duckie:

It was over a year ago and our first ADNE Doodle, Phineas, had just turned 8 when our daughter, Abby, started the campaign for a mini Phinny.   After the joy Phinny has brought us,  along with how great Joyce is to work with and her quality standards and love for her dogs, we knew we had to call Joyce.  As luck would have it, just a couple months later Duckie arrived.  It was love at first sight, at least for Billy, Abby and I.  Phineas didn’t think a lot of him at first.  Duckie showed us right away that although he was very small in size, he was huge in personality.  We started finding shoes, slippers, and all of the dog toys go missing.  We soon found out Duckie like to store them all under the bed where Phinny couldn’t fit.

One day as I sat in the living room I watched Duckie from underneath an ottoman grab one toy at a time and pull them under the ottoman as Phinny watched on growling under his breath.  Then only one toy remained and it was right in front of Phinny.  Coming out from under the ottoman all you saw was one paw reach out very slowly right in front of Phinny and pull the one last remaining toy under the ottoman.  Duckie then came out the other side with the last toy he had captured in his mouth and pranced around with great pride.

Duckie was determined to get Phinny to play with him and love him.  He did not give up on Phinny, continuing to try to initiate play.  Soon enough Phinny gave in and could not help but like him too.  They are now best buds playing together all the time, and cuddling.

Duckie is very mischievous and stubborn.  It is fortunate for us as we put him through training we quickly learned he’ll do anything for food. He was a very quick learner when food was involved. However, he is so smart and I think he has learned to act up just in order to get ‘cookies’.   We also never have to worry wondering if Duckie wants something for he will certainly ask.  He talks in this little whine and makes it quite clear what he is after.

When Duckie isn’t up to his shenanigans he is such a cuddle-bug.  Sometimes I think he is part cat as he snuggles right in on our laps or is rubbing against my legs and sitting on my feet as I do the dishes.  He just loves to be touching someone.  It is not uncommon to wake up in the morning to find him sleeping on my head or snuggling under my chin.

Duckie loves to play with all other dogs, but he is a little shy around people.  It takes a while for him to trust those he doesn’t know.  After folks have been around awhile he may get curious on his terms.  However, if the strangers offer up some food they become an instant friend at least until he has captured the food.  😊

We can’t imagine our home now without our boys, Phinny and our little Duckie.

Yuck, it is raining today. :+(

However, pups need exercise.   Charlotte and I decided to let them run around the Pup Room while I cleaned up.  They hardly hesitated to investigate.  Just a few pics to share.

We went outdoors for the first time today! (CHARLOTTE X WYATT)

Early this afternoon, I placed the pups outdoors in my 'mini outdoor pen' but kept them in an expandable cloth x-pen.  I was not quite ready for them to be on the ground yet.

I am sure they will be exploring the 'mini pen' in no time but today I just wanted them to enjoy the fresh air and listen to the sounds.  They were given their noontime meal outdoors and they enjoyed that.

While they were eating lunch, I went indoors to clean the indoor pen.  They are learning quickly to venture to the wire topped litter box for most potty needs.  They are really standing well now and I always find it remarkable that pups literally go from wobbly Weebles to pretty solid footing overnight!  Enjoy these candid shots.  :+)

The mini outdoor pen is enclosed with a black x-pen.  The fabric x-pen with the pups is between the adult swing and the Playschool Tunnel.  Once on the ground, they will be able to see and visit the adults but not actually be among them.

The group inside the cloth x-pen.

Choc/Wht Parti Boy is wanting out while Red Collar Boy serenades.

Here is the cleaned indoor pen. Far left is where they sleep amongst the hanging 'doodads'. The middle section is the potty area and the far right is where the crates will be when they are weaned.  Right now, they cannot go there as a clear sheet of plexiglass separates them. Charlotte jumps over it when she wants to nurse.  The pen gate is usually open.

The wall facing the litter box has a big mirror for them to see themselves.

GUNNY X LIL ABNER pups have gone home!

I usually try to have my puppy pick ups on one day at a time we can all agree on and we have a nice group here enjoying each other's company as we go over the puppy booklets.  We always elect a supervisor to watch over the kids and pups as they play together.

This was not one of those pick ups!  We certainly had a full variety of days, times and locations!  One thing you learn early on as a breeder is that 'baloney' happens and you just have to make adjustments.  Finally, however, the last two fur-babies are home safe and sound.

Leo went home one week early as his family came from Delaware! I had totally missed this! Talk about 'egg on your face'!!  See, I am a creature of habit - which is why I REALLY like everyone picking up at the same time and same day!!  Oi!

SECOND to go home was 'Gunny', actually named Ogunquit.  How neat that he has his mommy's 'nickname'.

Next, came Marley.  I am sure Marley is entertaining the family.  :+)

I am told that mom, Amanda, has a whole lot of pink at their house now that Violet has joined their male dominant family!

Ziggy is this family's third ADNE Labradoodle.  Their daughter hopes to use him for therapy work.

Today was Sunny's pick up day!  He is already home and I am sure has a soccer game to go to!

Both Sunny and Ziggy were here for an extra week and became very close to each other.  They had the best time running around and enjoying the outdoors.  They also became good neighbors with Charlotte's litter that joined them in the Pup Room.  Once Ziggy was picked up this morning, I thought Sunny would become sad and lonely.  I had to clean up the Pup Room to make more space for Charlotte's litter, so set up my portable x-pen and put them in it.  Sunny kept running round and round the pen trying to get in, so I finally put him inside with them.  You can see he was truly enjoying himself and time just flew by!  Sunny had to say 'goodbye' as we needed to head out for his pick up.

Hopefully, everyone is doing well and adjusting.  You all know you can call or email me any time if you have a question or concern.  I am looking forward to pics from all of you now!

CHARLOTTE X WYATT - WEEK 4

Holy cow, wait till you see these pups!  They are truly amazing given their daddy is an F2 (early generation Labradoodle).  This litter shows the Labrador genes in a big way - the heads, size, sturdiness and temperament.  I am blown away!

I did move them to the pup room and tomorrow they will finally have a bit more space.  Right now, they are enjoying seeing their cousins, Sunny and Ziggy 'that live next door' and sometimes I can catch them giving kisses to each other through the wire fencing.  Very cute.

Yesterday, they had their first meal.  Today, I will continue the one meal a day as we begin the gentle weaning process.  :+)

Yellow Collar Girl - 4 lbs. On track for about  32 pounds.

Pink Collar Girl - The smallest in the litter at 3  1/4 lbs.

Red Collar Boy - A hefty one at 4  3/4 lbs. Close to 40 lbs.

Choc/Wht Parti Boy - Weighs 4 lbs. and should be about 32 to 35 lbs.

Brown Collar Boy - Another heavyweight like his bro.  4  3/4 lbs. Around 38 to 40 lbs.
