GUNNY X BOOMER'S LITTER - 4 Weeks!

Man, have we been busy with the four grandchildren and their dad!  Thank goodness both dad and Gramps took them on an excursion today so I could get these pics done.

These little munchkins have developed into tiny dogs.  They can see, hear, stand on their little feet and actually find and use the potty box - YEA!  They still seek their mom for nourishment but in a few days, I will begin some gruel to take the bulk of feeding off of Gunny.

Yes, they are now four weeks of age but only at the very early stages of becoming social.  Don't expect much from them for those of you who are coming to visit this weekend!  Some might be truly frightened but this is the learning process and we watch closely and believe me as time goes on, they become VERY happy to see people and love to snuggle and play.  This slow social learning curve is critical for their development and future integration into the world.  They ALL need time to adjust and learn.

My weekend for visits is now full but I can certainly have some visits during the coming weekdays if anyone is available.  Just send me an email!  :+)

Coral Girl will have a wavy coat and is a Caramel.  See her rosy-brown nose and hazel eye color?

Sage Girl is a Caramel as well and will have a curly coat.

Fudge Boy will have a slight wave to his coat.  Chocolates typically lighten a bit.

Sky Girl is keeping me guessing if she will develop into an Apricot or a Caramel.

Coal Male has a deep black nose like his shiny, wavy coat.

Coffee Girl will lighten up and she will have a curly coat.

Rocky Male is a Caramel with a curly coat.

Violet Girl has a curly coat and may lighten in color.

SIX WEEKS! (Clary x Wyatt litter)

Oh boy are they ever loving the full use of the play area!  When company comes though, they only want to be where the people are.  This is a very social group at six weeks.

The other day, it was pouring but I don't want them to be 'shy' about rain, so I had an umbrella and went into the rain and they followed.  No one seemed to mind the 'wetness' and some had muddy toes before we went in.  I am also letting them figured out how to use the dogie door.  Some go through it no problem and others are taking their time and need a bit of coaxing.  In another week or so, they will be flying through it!

They still all sleep a lot during the day, so visits are limited unless families are fine with having more than one group here at a time.  The pups do tire quickly because of all the excitement and handling, so there really is only about 20 to 30 minutes of active engagement and then they start to look for a spot for a nap.  Recovery is quick and the process starts all over again!

Today, our middle son arrives with our four grand-daughters from Pennsylvania and will be staying for a week.  The pups will have tons of handling.  Obviously, I cannot accommodate any visitors for this week and the weekend slots are already full.

Temperament testing is on Tuesday, July 23 and it will be a few days later that you will know which pup you have been assigned.  It takes my trainer a few days to do the write ups on each pup.  Remember, assignments are based on what you put on your application, so if there are any changes, please send me an email so I can add it to your app. - this includes color, gender, etc. !!!

Blue Boy weighs 6 1/4 lbs.  At this time, he is the heaviest pup.  He is a solid boy like Wyatt, his daddy.  His coat is curly and should be non-shedding.  Blue is an active, curious and fun loving pup.  He likes activity.  He is the only pup that wanted to stand for his photo with his tail wagging, wagging, wagging.  He loves to play.

Red Girl is 5 1/4 lbs. today.  At first, I thought she would be a shedder but I was wrong.  Red has a very soft, thick coat and solid boning.  She has a middle of the road personality.  Loves people but is also content to entertain herself.

'Hi World, here I come! ' Lilac Girl is the smallest in the litter but has the BIGGEST personality!  Loves everything - people, places and things.  She will need an active family dynamic is my guess.  No shedding.

Looking forward to hearing what my trainer says.  She has a lot of energy!  I am considering her for a Guardian placement, but have not made up my mind yet, so don't let that stop you from picking her for one of your preferences.

Pink Girl weighs 5 lbs.  She does not shed at this time and I don't expect her to.   Pink loves to be with people and would like nothing more than to be you constant companion.  She is curious, friendly and has a good dose of energy.

'Look into my eyes'.  Green Boy is very sweet.  The most gentle personality of the group.  He is not a rambunctious pup at all - sort of like a librarian - quiet and studious.  At this time, Green Boy does shed.  I can pick off hairs from him, but if I pat him, there is no trail of hair on my hands like if you pat a Shepherd or Labrador.  I do not recommend that he go to anyone on the list that has allergies of any type.

Green would also do best in a more quiet setting.  He is a good size pup at 6 lbs. with excellent boning and large head.
His pattern is the most stunning I have ever produced.

GUNNY'S LITTER IS THREE WEEKS TODAY!

As is typical this time of year, we have had lots of company and visitors with more coming soon.  Trying to find a block of uninterrupted time to get pics in has been a daunting task!  However, between pup visits and my daughter and grandson coming, I managed to get them done.  It was easiest for me to hold them and snap a pic than try to provide a backdrop.  Sometimes, simplicity must rule!

Soon, I will be introducing a potty box in their space and hoping they will use it.  Small steps!

One thing I can say is that they are all gaining well and Gunny continues to be a good momma!  I am almost tempted to try some gruel for them but with company coming for a week, I am going to wait till things settled down once again.

The pics make them look big but they are little guys.  :+)

Violet Girl will be curly.

Coral Girl at 3 wks.  2 1/4 lbs.  Her coat will be wavy and she is a Caramel.

Coffee Girl will have a wavy coat.

Rocky Boy will be curly.  He will also be a Caramel and have brown pigment. (Caramel)

Sky Girl will have a wavy coat as well.  Not sure yet if she will be a Caramel or an Apricot.

Coal Boy will have a slight wave to his coat.

Sage Girl will be curly and have brown pigment.  (Caramel)

Fudge Boy will have a wavy coat like his mom.

HOBBS makes a surprise visit!

Another surprise came in the form of a fluffy mop!  Hobbs, a miniature stud hopeful came by and boy oh boy was I head over heels in love with this treasure!

His guardians are so awesome and take him everywhere and he meets tons and tons of people of all sizes and it shows in his confident personality.

Hobs is only six months in these photos and I am keeping my fingers crossed he passes his testing to become an ADNE stud boy!

Hobbs and daddy.  :+)

Surprise visits are the BOMB!

Yesterday, our youngest son came over with one of our grand-daughters.  She absolutely loved being with Clary's pups and she was especially drawn to Miss Red Collar Girl.  At almost six years of age, she listened quite well on 'pup rules' and gave each and every one lots of one on one cuddles, but I must admit, Red Collar had extra.  :+)

Thanks you sweetie for playing so gently with the pups and listening to grammy's rules.....(well, most of the time)!  :+)

CLARY'S LITTER IS FIVE WEEKS OLD TODAY!

Time is surely flying by!  The pups are outdoors most of the day because they have a lovely spot that is shaded, cool and stimulating.  They have lots of visits including my grandson when here, me, Clary's family and Daisy, of course!  She is most definitely their 'nanny'.

Clary is now home with her guardians full time.  She visited the pups several times while on her 'temporary leave of absence' until she no longer had any milk to offer.  It worked out beautifully.  So happy Clary's guardians live so close - a GREAT convenience for all involved.

When these pups come back into the puppy room, they 100% of the time use the potty box.  There has never been one 'oops' since they began training in earnest.  I am amazed by this.  I hope it is an omen that they will be easy to train when they go home!  :+)

Today's picture backdrop is one of my window boxes hanging on a fence.  It is impossible to photograph them if not confined somehow - they are way too curious and will not stay still.  Hopefully, I will have time to finish getting the turf ready and THEN I may be able to get some activity shots.  We have a few more weeks.  :+)

Blue Boy - I swear he eats with his entire face.  He always seems to have some food on his nose!  4  3/4 lbs

Green Boy's blue eyes are simply mesmerizing.   4  3/4 lbs

Red Girl - 4  1/4 lbs.  In every litter, I typically get a photo gem - she is it.

Violet Girl is just plain happy so much like Clary.  :+)  3  3/4 lbs

Still the curious one Pink Girl is a sweetheart. 4 lbs.

WEEK TWO FOR THE GUNNY X BOOMER LITTER!

A milestone has been reached!  All eight pups are doing great.  Almost all have their eyes open - Fudge Boy is still thinking about it.  :+)  Still sleeping most of the time but able to scoot around on their bellies to find the milk bar.  They certainly have voices when disturbed! Otherwise are content.

To celebrate our nation's birthday, we did out photo shoot with a patriotic flare.

Coral Girl is 1 lb 9 oz. this week.

Violet Girl is 1 lb 5 oz.

Coffee Girl weighs 1 lb 5 oz.

Lil Sky Girl is 1 lb 4 oz.
