Puppies like frogs.

 Stuffed ones, that is!  Could not resist taking a pic of Brinkley's pups enjoying the soft belly of the big, green stuffed frog in their pen.  They love to snuggle into the nooks and crannies of their soft 'friend'.  :+)

HAPPY Memorial Day WEEKEND! We are ready to celebrate! Brinkley x Diesel Litter

 Although the weather is not predicted to be great, the pups will celebrate in spirit!  :+)

Brinkley's guardian mom also came for a visit today and just could not get over how adorable the faces on these pups are.

Chip is 5 1/2 pounds at 4 weeks.  He is such a chunk!

Amber at 4 weeks is 5 1/8 lbs. and has such cute white markings.

Weighing 'only' 5 lbs., at 4 weeks, Jade is the smallest pup in the group. :+)

Milk chocolate at its best.  Bruno melts in your hands.  

Of course, I could not leave out Gabriel, as he loves to watch these pups when they are in the outside pup pen.  He wants to play with them so badly but I need to wait until these pups can actually run around.  They are so chubby, they barely waddle!!

When you figure this little guy is only 3 pounds less than his 'cousins' above and 

Gabe is 12 weeks of age, not 4!  Soon, he will be the midget amongst 'giants'!! :+)

Some REAL sunshine for the Brinkley x Diesel litter.

 This afternoon, I decided to bring the 'youngsters' outdoors for about 20 minutes of real sunshine in the 'small pup pen' that I have within the large puppy area.

Initially, I had Brinkley in the pen with the litter as this was 'very' scary for them!

Soon though, some began investigating.  This is Amber checking out the Sit & Spin.

Chip decided to venture into the 'hut' that is in the pen.  Many of my pups love to take a nap in there.

They now can nurse sitting down.

Gabe is entertaining some of the pups.

Amber can't quite get up the little slide, I bet she does tomorrow!!

Gabriel and Bellamy had a fun visit. :+)

 Yesterday, Bellamy's guardian invited Gabe and I over for some tea and a playdate for the pups.  I do believe they recognized each other and had such fun chasing, wrestling, biting and expending lots of energy.  Sally and I enjoyed our tea and watching them play.  :+)

I was so pleased to see that Gabriel was not much smaller than Bellamy at all - he has gained weight and grown quite a bit!  

After our fun visit (THANK YOU Sally!), Gabe and I went to a nursery center to pick out some plants.  Gabe was such a hit there I could hardly push our cart to make some choices.  :+) He LOVED all the attention from old, young, male or female - he was in heaven.  

After such an eventful morning, Gabe took a long nap once home.

Brinkley x Diesel Litter - Week 3!

 At this time, they are moving a bit more, still not 'walking' per se, but getting there!  Eyes are open, they startle easily, are uncertain when picked up and let me know when they need some fresh air or the fan turned on!  They complain!  :+). Trust me, all normal.

Once they are four weeks and older, the action starts.  Pics will be more animated and my job gets harder as once pups are truly mobile, they need more stimulation, food, clean up and visitors begin making appointments.  I get busy.

Here are their three week pics.  I chose one of our birdbaths (without the water!) and they barely fit in it.  These pups are rugged!  When I think of it, Gabriel at 11 weeks is now 6 1/2 lbs. and these guys are close to 3 and 4+ pounds at THREE WEEKS!

They don't 'walk' yet, just army crawl.  You can see the colors changing slightly on the chocolates.  Bruno, in front is 'milk' chocolate to Chip's 'dark' chocolate at the moment.  No guarantees that a chocolate pup will not dilute to cafe or lavender so be sure you like ALL the shades of a chocolate puppy!  Apricot creams, like the girls, can become lighter but it is not as extreme as the chocolates.

Brinkley & Diesel's pups are two weeks old today!

They have settled into the Puppy Room enjoying some of the sunshine and listening to all the other doodles and house noises.

Gabriel likes having them 'next door' to his pen.  :+). Brinkley comes and goes as she pleases.  Their eyes and ears have just started opening but they need more time to focus and see well.  

They are plump and content.
