For those looking for pups earlier than I can provide - READ THIS POST! :+)

 Hi,

I have reached out to several breeders that have (or will have) pups soon for those of you who would like a pup.

Here are the name of some breeders who may be able to help you.  One of them will ship your pup for free - now that is something!  Others will hand deliver, so look them over and just maybe, you will have your companion a lot sooner than you will from my program.  I just ask that you PLEASE tell me you have found your pup so I can remove your application from my files.  OKAY???

Please let them know that I sent you to them.  It is how we keep our programs 'neighborly'.  :+)

Elsie is in the beginning stages of being bred for a litter!

 Darling Elsie will have her first blood test on Wednesday, April 27th.  We will see what her numbers are and them make the decision on which stud will be used - might be Duckie or Emmett.  So hard to decide because both boys are a great choice!  Eeny, meeny, mini moe.......

The pic below is of Elsie when she was bred to Hobbs.  I would like some variety in colors, so am skipping his participation this time around.  With both Duckie or Emmett, the color guys say I may get some phantoms and mismarks as well as solids, so I am going for the 'variety' pack.  :+)

WE HAVE CONFIRMATION!!!!

     Duckie did his job and Skye is definitely pregnant - yea!!  Her Ultra Sound this morning shows five or so pups but an Ultra Sound is never definitive - the x-ray done at 8 weeks is the best tool to use for numbers.

In any event, I am delighted she is pregnant and we will expect those little ones around May 18th or so.  I will contact the people on her list to see if they are still interested and if not, will go down my applicants currently on the Wait List.  :+)

I should know this Friday, if Miss Skye is pregnant!  All very excited to find out.  Will post as soon as I know.  :+)

Little Skye and Duckie Mallard have mated!

On Saturday, I will be breeding Skye once again to be sure we have covered all the bases for a successful mating.  Of course, I will not know if she is pregnant for roughly 30 days but I will always update here.

These will be miniatures that should not weigh more than 20 lbs. or so at maturity.  Their coats will be curly, soft fleeces that will not shed.  The colors on this litter will be quite interesting and assorted - almost anything is possible from phantoms, to some with white patches to some whose coats will start out dark and lighten up significantly.  We may even get some solids - a real 'box of chocolates'!  :+)

Skye is a very animated girl who loves her family and other dogs.  Duckie loves people who give him treats.  It may take him a little while to warm up to you but when he does, he likes to sit on your lap.

Skye loves to ride in the car and look out the window.

Duckie loves to steal toys and play with them.

If all goes well, we should have little peanuts delivered in mid May.  A wonderful time of the year to enjoy puppies and springtime.  :+)

Phoebe has finally had her first cycle!!

Miss Phoebe Rye has certainly taken her time to have her first cycle.  Phoebe is fully tested and has a great score card on health results!

She is considered a mini and weighs about 23 lbs.  Phoebe is athletic, smart and sometimes full of the dickens.  Of course, she is gorgeous and very well loved by her guardian family right here in my town!

I will wait until her second cycle before breeding her and let's hope we don't have to wait for another year to do so!
