A successful mating between Daisy Mae and Emmett. :+)

Although Emmett likes ladies with long, shapely legs...he did need a bit of a boost to be able to get the deed done!  However, with many efforts and determination, success was achieved!

When we have another rendezvous on Sunday afternoon, I will be bringing a 'booster seat' so Emmett won't have to work so hard.  :+)  A very successful mating was had on Father's Day. Now, we wait for an ultra sound in a month or so.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EMMETT!

Daisy Mae and Gunny puppies. Update!

Gunny, we know is pregnant and tomorrow there is a good chance Daisy will be too. Although there will be two litters here at ADNE soon, they are over 4 weeks apart which is very do-able. Plus, Gunny babies will be miniatures and hardly take up any room at all!

Both litters will be a 'rainbow' of colors, so fun to watch grow. All interested buyers are urged to like all colors to be considered for a home. Both litters will produce curly and wavy coated pups and Mother Nature is fully in charge of what happens. I just enjoy the show.  :+)

UPDATE: Daisy is ovulating TODAY, so will be bred tomorrow (Friday) and again on Sunday. I guess Emmett gets to 'celebrate' Father's Day.  ha, ha.

Gunny will have minis in July.

These two are the best of friends.

Daisy should be expecting in August.

Daisy had her first progesterone test today.

This is a blood test to see if her 'hormones' are rising. The LH 'surge' is an important number for determining the actual birthing date. Typically, this is reached at 2 ngs. which is where Daisy is today. On Thursday, I will take her once again for this blood test to see what her new number is - if above 5 ngs., I may breed her that day to Emmett and again on Saturday. Then we wait once again to see if the mating was successful.

GUNNY is indeed pregnant! Yea!

It has been confirmed this morning with an ultra sound! It looks like four pups but ultra sounds are not for determining numbers of pups. They all seemed to look normal and healthy with teeny tiny hearts beating. I never get tired of watching those hearts twinkle on the screen.

I expect little miniatures. Colors could be apricot, caramel, chocolate, cafe or black. I don't expect white tipping but there is a possibility of a phantom. Pups will have curl and should have allergy friendly and low to non-shedding coats.

Lil Abner - 16" and 22 lbs.

Looks like the late summer and fall will be extra busy at ADNE.

I just noticed this afternoon, that Miss Daisy Mae Duke is cycling so my plan is to breed her to Emmett Piccolo in a week or two. That will bring pups in August with a go home date around the second week of October.

I expect creams, blacks and maybe cafes in a small medium size (30 lbs.) and 16 to 18 inches in height. All applications must be willing to be assigned to any color.

Will find out tomorrow if Gunny is having pups - all miniature in size, again in assorted colors.

Thank you families for sending me pics. HAZEL X BO DIDLEY GO HOME PICS! :+)

I had three of my puppies picked up today - Louie, Patty Prue and Boomer but somehow I must have deleted some of the pics from my camera!  However, my dear customers came to my rescue and sent me pics!  THANK YOU!

On Tuesday, the last two, Elsie and Romeo went home and I made sure to not make a similar mistake!  :+)

Boomer with his guardians, Alexa and Daren.
Patty Prue with her owners LeeAnn & Darryl! Thanks for the pic LeeAnn!

WHEW! We are down to the wire! Hazel x Bo Didley litter.

The pups have not missed a beat! You would never know they had surgeries this week. Well, actually Romeo is bothered a bit by the healing process but not enough to warrant a Cone of Shame. :+)

The eye exams went really well and my eye vet was so pleased with their calm, accepting personalities. It can be tough to keep a pup still in a dark room with a bright light shining in their eyes, but they were just as compliant as ever. All of them do well with car rides as well. A tiny bit of whining and they go to sleep.  :+)

I hope all of you are ready for your new companions tomorrow! I look forward to your arrivals at 3 pm. YAHOO!

Patty Prue, ever curious.

Louie, Mr. Velcro - loves to be near you.

Romeo. I had to take so many shots of him because as soon as I focused, he would jump up to say 'Hello'!
