Another hot day and another swim for the pups!

The pups were panting and I thought...okay, let's go for another swim!  All the grandkids were already in the pool so why not add some pups to the mix???

Happy faces and cool pups, what could possibly be better???

What a fun time!

You try taking pics of five kiddos AND five pups - perfect it is not but it is sure fun trying!!! :+)

Let's feature Miss Pink! UPDATE: SOLD!

 What is she about?

  • She is a true miniature and will mature about 17 lbs.
  • She has an adorable Black and Tan Phantom Pattern - think the color placement on Bernese Mountain Dogs or Dobermans - very elegant and striking!
  • A real cuddle bug.  Loves to be carried like a baby and walked about.  Perhaps you would like a couch buddy?  She will happily share a bowl of popcorn with you.  :+)
  • Has energy but is not a 'high energy' pup.
  • Many times, she will approach you and sit, waiting for you to spot her and pick her up - she loves to be the one on my lap as I pat her siblings.
  • Although the smallest in the litter, she holds her own wrestling, chasing and running around with her littermates.
  • Pink is not shy but she is not a bully either - gets along well with others.
  • Shows respect to older dogs.
  • Her size and friendly nature allows her to be the perfect 'Snow Bird' companion.

Grand-daughters playing with the pups!

The pups were having a fabulous time playing with some of our grand-daughters today.  All seemed to be enjoying the licking of faces, pulling of hair, tugging of fingers and toes but most of all - just being with puppies!

They have been waiting so long to enjoy puppy breathe once again.  I am sure the pups will be totally ready for naps each day they are here - girls too!  :+)

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY EVERYBODY! Bellamy x Duckie Litter - 8 weeks!!!

The eighth week has arrived and what a week it will be!  Let's all keep our fingers crossed that the Fourth of July holiday will have some sun.  So many are traveling to see family and those darn showers have really been a bummer so far!

Today, the weather did NOT provide sunshine but...I did manage to get their pics done after the first downpour and did not risk waiting too long before the next might come.  They predicted thunder showers hence the hustle!

Please take this week to read my contract with regard to your vet appt., also Spay Secure. Check out trainers, veterinarians and a groomer.  Call your vet to set up an appointment NOW - do not wait until you pick up your pup!  You have 7 days from July 9th to have your pup vet checked to comply with the contract.  Most vets have long lead times to do 'normal' health checks.  Don't forget a stool sample (and a treat) when you bring your pup to the appointment.

Yes, the pups have gone out in the rain.  I am sad that it has not been warm enough to introduce them to the kiddie pool but we may get a day of heat and sunshine.  Our grand-daughters (4) will wear them out quite a bit over the next week or so.  They can hardly wait.  :+). All are eating FROMM GOLD PUPPY kibble in the pink and gold bag.  Have it ready at your home.  This variety HAS grain in it as it should.  DO NOT feed your pup grain free food, please.  The Honest Kitchen is another quality product that I highly  recommend.  It looks like dried oatmeal but isn't - just add some broth or water, stir and you are all set.  The pups have eaten that as well.

The litter is now 'rowdy'.  They are nipping like crazy, chewing, grabbing and being hooligans!  It is normal pup behavior - get ready for it.  Find your trainer so you can nip this behavior asap.  They are also sweet, cuddly and love attention.  :+)

Yellow Girl is quite unique.  She has a 'ghost' phantom pattern.  If you look closely at the pic,
you can see her reddish shadows near her eyebrows, a bit on her muzzle and legs.  It will not be as evident as Pink Girl's pattern but it is there.  An outdoorsy type that would do well in an active home.

Lt. Blue Boy is an easy going kind of fellow who enjoys a good wrestle or tug game but just as content
to snuggle and watch a movie while you scratch his belly.

Green Boy really needs a more quiet home.  He likes to chill and cuddle.  A 'fraternity' atmosphere is
not his ball of wax.  Gentle introductions, a nice walk and lots of love is his mantra.

Red Girl is bulky but also squishy.  Loves a warm lap, good food, a gentle hand and sometimes a 'good ol' tugging match' to get the blood flowing....then a nap.

Navy Boy is a bit on the soft side.  A gentle approach and patience and he will be your loyal companion.
Definitely enjoys patting but not rough housing unless he initiates it.
A well managed household would suit him perfectly .

The phantom girl - Miss Pink!  A tiny thing that 'roars like a lion'.  Loves to be the center of attention whether she initiates a wrestle or is being slam dunked!  Small but mighty!  Is curious, attentive,
smart and enjoys being 'The Apple of Someone's Eye'.  I would say she is a bit of a show off. :+)

Unless I hear from my trainer (sick) within the next couple of days, I will be assigning these pups myself by the weekend.  I definitely embrace my trainers input but given the situation, need to move forward.  I do have two pups available if you know of anyone looking.  Two buyers bowed out due to their own situations and I understood.  No one knows what is happening at any given time and flexibility is necessary.

BELLAMY X DUCKIE'S LITTER IS 7 WEEKS TODAY!

Happily, all are doing well and enjoying the sunshine we have been gifted with today!  The pups have enjoyed a lot of freedom now that they have all learned how to navigate the dogie door from the Pup Room.  Even when it is raining, they have ventured outside, especially Miss Yellow.

Mommy, Bellamy, is now with her guardians full time and they are all so happy.  A few visitors have come and the pups enjoy the visits immensely.  Our four grand-daughters will be here in about a week and the pups will be inundated with love, pats, cuddles and noise!

I took most of the pics in one of my flower pots except one Lt. Blue Boy who wasn't happy in that setting. He was perfectly happy in a different flower pot.  Guess he knows what he likes! :+)

If you know anyone looking for a pup, we do have one pup available due to a timing issue.  Remember July 9th is Pick Up Day!  Time will be announced after Temperament Testing is completed.

If anyone is interested in Yellow Collar Girl, please call me or send in an application.
Miss Yellow. Loves the outdoors! Always ready to be involved with something. A happy spirit! A willing, able and happy partner to do anything or go anywhere.  AVAILABLE
Mr. Lt. Blue Boy who decided to be different.  He was a perfect gentleman in this setting.
He is a gentle soul who likes to play, nap and cuddle.
Oh Miss Pink! Look at that face...something up her sleeve?  Loves to be held, belly rubbed and carried around.  She IS small so it really isn't too much of a problem, right?
Mr. Navy Boy - another cuddlebug.  Follows you around just waiting for the moment you will pick him up.  A real tail wagger.
How sweet is Mr. Green Boy?  Very.  Will even fall asleep in your arms.  If you are looking for a pet to snuggle on the couch, the chair or your bed - look no further.
Miss Red Girl - enjoys playing with the other pups. Energetic but loves to get patted.  Is a hefty girl for her mini status so can handle lots of games and a bit of rough housing as well. A true family pet.

BELLAMY x DUCKIE - SIX Weeks!!

This litter is certainly chugging along! Bellamy is now with her guardians permanently having done an excellent job of nursing her litter of six. The pups now eat their gruel three times a day happily and are gaining well. They play outside more and more each day as all of them have learned to use the dogie door and enjoy going in and out during their 'free' time. Yes, they still have lots of naps and sleep through the night quietly. That is NOT to say they don't have potty needs, they are just quiet about it. :+) The week beginning June 26th will be a busy but very important one. The pups will go through Temperament Testing on 6/27, have visitors on 6/28 and their microchips and vaccines on 6/29. So lots of riding in the car and new experiences. Father's Day weekend will be celebrated with family here at ADNE so I ask all of you to spend some time going over the Puppy Prep tab of my website and also read the ADNE contract under the Purchase Details tab. Both are IMPORTANT! I will NOT received the results of the Temperament Test for a few days after it has been done, so be patient. Once I receive them, I will be on the phone with each of you discussing the pup chosen for your family. :+)

BELLAMY X DUCKIE - FIVE WEEKS!!

Now we are 'little doggies'. :+). We walk, play, wrestle, eat, sleep, potty and make noise!  Mommy Bellamy is wanting to nurse less and less and they look forward to eating gruel.  Weaning the litter from Bellamy is in full swing.

Today, I actually put them outdoors in the small pen for some fresh air while I cleaned up the Pup Room.  They complained a bit but still ventured around the area to check things out.  Each day, as weather allows, they will be going outdoors for a bit.

As visitors come, the pups are exposed to different smells, handling and patting.  Each seem to enjoy the attention and some have actually been put to sleep on a few laps while being cuddled. :+) For those who have not come yet, I encourage you to make an appointment.  I try to accommodate all schedules, so include weekdays as well as weekends whenever possible.

Enjoying the view from one of the outdoor slides.

Doesn't Navy Boy seem to be saying 'What am I doing here?'

Yellow Girl is ready to investigate.

Pink Girl is happy just where she is.

'Can I nap on this Kong?'

Green Boy is getting comfortable on the slide.

WE HAVE ONE PUPPY AVAILABLE ON THE BELLAMY X DUCKIE LITTER!

A communication glitch has resulted in a pup being available in the above litter.  I cannot tell you gender  or color because I don't make assignments until AFTER they are Temperament Tested around eight weeks of age.  I know this policy can be frustrating so anyone that may have interest needs to be flexible on both gender and color.  I base my assignments on what you write on the application so the pup picked for you is a good match.  Please take the time to read my website so you are well informed.  :+).

The litter has four apricots and two slightly Phantom marked pups.  An example of each is below.

BELLAMY X DUCKIE LITTER - FOUR WEEKS!

This is typically the week of many changes!  The pups now 'walk', play, eat and wrestle...sort of.  :+) I am now preparing a milk gruel that includes Goat's Milk, Gerber Rice Cereal and Beech Nut infant meat for their meals.  Yes, they still drink from Bellamy but we are now on the track to weaning the litter from her.  In a few more days, I will introduce a mix with kibble that is finely ground up to their milk mix and finally just plain FROMM GOLD PUPPY kibble later on.

Since the weather will be quite warm for a couple of days, I will clean up the outdoor pup pen and give them some outside time.  They typically love this new adventure.

A BIG change is this is the beginning of VISITS!  All those who have paid or sent in a deposit are now welcome to call or email me a day and time to meet their potential family addition!  Be aware no visits before 11 am and they only last for a half hour.  At this stage, pups tire very easily and they are still 'babies'.  So I hope to hear from you to set up dates and times.  :+)

I look forward to hearing from you all very soon to schedule your visits! Joyce

BELLAMY X DUCKIE - THREE WEEKS and ALL SOLD!

Apologies for the late posting - very busy day today!

The pups are doing great!  They have been moved to the Puppy Room where there is sunshine, open windows for a breeze and a bit more room.  They are beginning to want to play with the little baby toys I hung on the pen and each other.  Bellamy continues to take very good care of them and I have also introduced a milk mixture to them.  They are not gobbling it up yet but are showing interest.  Give it a few more days and it will disappear quickly!

Without any further ado:

The cutest 'flower' in the pot!

What happened to my 'bedroom'?

I am comfortable lounging here.

Tell me please, who is cuter me or those pansies?

What an adorable profile, right?

I am hanging on for dear life!

Our new bedroom is really nice and comfy

The pups' eyes are still adjusting which is why some of them appear to have a bluish cast to them. It takes about a good week before they truly clear.  The biggest pup (Red Girl) is quite a hunk-a-chunk but today I actually saw her life off her butt and walk a bit! As she grows she will lose some of that baby fat!  The smallest pup is Navy Boy and he always seems to find a snuggly spot to sleep - either a corner or one of his siblings to cuddle with.  :+)

This week they will begin to really enjoy their milk mix and maybe Bellamy will have some relief from all the feedings.

Visits will begin in about another week, so stay tuned!  :+)
