A perfect day for taking Figgy's pups pics!! (Five weeks old.)

Most people frown on cloudy days but when you have black pups being photographed, you are jumping for joy!!!!  :+)

These pups are growing so quickly and now have personalities showing up, cute expressions and lots of energy.  I still have some flowers in bloom and was tickled to be able to take them to the garden for shots today.

I sure hope that I will have some time to get them outdoors - sooner rather than later as they are ready. They do love mingling with Tate's pups through the fencing and sometimes I will put one in with the older pups to see how they do.  So far, very well but they are not ready to be 'blended' yet.

When Tate's pups are outside engaged in some serious play, I let Fig's pups wander around the pup room sniffing the other pen and checking things out. They get into some very cute stances and do a bit of chasing and it is the cutest thing to watch.  :+)

Peach Girl is 5 lbs.

Lilac Girl is 4 3/4 lbs. this week.

Red Boy weighs 4 1/4 lbs.

Lime Girl is a perfect 4.0 lbs.

Teal Boy is spot on at 5 lbs.

Tate's 7 week pics!

I think you all can see that the pups are full of energy and enjoying all the space that is available to them for chasing, playing ball and discovery from the next post.

Here are their 7 week photos:  One posed and the other casual on each pup.  :+)

Haddie McGee.  Haddie is available for a local Guardian Home.
At 7 weeks, she weighs 5 3/4 lbs. and will
be approximately 25 lbs. at maturity.

-----
Tip O'Keefe has a lovely guardian family.
Keefer will be about 30 lbs. or so at
maturity but only weighs 7 3/4 lbs. now.

-----

Green Boy weighs 6 3/4 lbs. and has really pretty coloring.

-----
Black Boy is 7 1/2 lbs. at 7 weeks. I love his
white toes and bushy eyebrows!

-----

Blue Boy is my model.  Always picture perfect! He weighs 6 1/2 lbs.

Fun in the sun for Tate's 7 week olds!!

I generally always wait until the pups have their first shots to put them in the pup play area but I decided to do it early this time.  They are loving it as the pics will show.  :+)

Checking out the woodsy area.
Green Boy likes the tunnel.

Soccer? Basketball? Football?
A group meeting.  :+)
Haddie and Blue play tug.
Blue Boy coming out of the sandbox.

Green Boy basking in the sun.
Annabelle playing with the pups.

I think Black Boy likes balls - all sizes.
A Pilate's pose?

It's Keep Away!

Figgy's 4 week olds are a bunch of sleepy heads!

They sure do sleep a lot and given that it takes me numerous photo sessions, ultimately there will be a few who simply won't keep their eyes open!

This week brings teeth erupting, more litter box use, a bit of wrestling, walking and they even play a bit with some toys. Every now and again, I also hear one bark! Figgy is only nursing three times a day at the most and the pups happily eat their meals that are served by me. A big leap!  However, there is still lots and lots of naps.

So, please don't be disappointed that some pups have their eyes closed - when the sleep fairy arrives, nothing keeps them awake!  :+)

Lilac Girl at four weeks weighs 4 1/2 lbs.
She was at least awake!

At four weeks Lime Girl  weighs 3 3/4 lbs.
She had a little bit of 'oomph' left.

Losing the battle is our four week old, Peach Girl who is using the edge
to hold her head up.  She weighs 4 1/2 lbs.

Teal Boy is trying his best but those eyes are really
way too heavy. He is four weeks and weighs 4 3/4 lbs.

Red Boy has totally succumbed to the Nap Fairy.
He weighs 3 3/4 lbs. at 4 weeks.

They really do have 'waking moments' but they are soooo brief.  When tired, they just want a pillow, an arm or a soft bed to cuddle with each other for snoozes.

Now that they have reached the four week marker, I am happy to take appointments for visitors. Just be sure you make no stops - from your house to mine. Hand washing will be required and shoes removed or surgical slippers will be provided.  All must be seated to hold a pup. Inside voices only - no yells or happy screams please - these pups are still sensitive to sound.  :+)

Here are some shots of when they are awake!  :+)  They are very intrigued with Tate's pups which go visit them often through the fencing.

Tate's Six Week Old Puppy Pics!

Be sure to read the post after this for their exciting week of adventure.  :+)

LOVE this shot of Green Boy! He is so full of fun and energy.
A great selection for an active family or couple.  He weighs 5 1/2 lbs. at 6 weeks.

Blue Boy is probably the calmest pup in the litter.  He will need a family that is sensitive but confident
and has excellent access to training so he does not become anxious. 5 1/4 lbs.

Haddie McGee weighs 4 1/2 lbs. She is available for a local Guardian Home.
Haddie loves small spaces to cuddle in. She is spunky, sweet and curious.
An active couple who is home a lot or family with children will suit her well.

Ha! I love this pic of Black Boy. He looks like he is laughing at
the best joke! Weighs 6 lbs. and would enjoy a family with children.
He seems to be a nice blend of snuggles and energy.

Tip O'Keefe has a guardian family and is a 'middle of the road' pup. Keefer
will enjoy activity as well as snoozes by the fire. Weighs 6 1/2 lbs.

Tate's pups have been very busy exploring this week! (6 weeks).

The week began with the group enjoying the baby playmat but they quickly outgrew it. While it was being used, they tugged, pulled, swatted and chewed to their hearts delight!

They are enjoying different types of food including canned and raw tripe, our homegrown Simple Poultry with small pieces of bone in it, as well as The Honest Kitchen blended foods and raw egg yolks. The pups gobble up everything.  They are now being served in a tray my husband, Carl made in separate bowls which assures that each of them are getting the right quantity.

Can we please go out to play? How could anyone resist these faces??  So, with temps cooler, outside playtime is often and coupled with visitors and naps sprinkled throughout the week. The pups really do enjoy people.  :+)

Once outdoors, some of the pups prefer to try and climb the clubhouse slide, which is pretty darn funny.  I am sitting on top of it taking pics of them trying to get to me.  There faces show how they just don't understand how I can get there but they cannot. I cracked up when Black Boy decided to 'show me up' and went to the baby slide to climb.

Blue Boy's expression is simply priceless!!!

They also love the activity center I made for my last litter that was such a hit. It can sometimes make a racket but that is one of the great components of it - for pups to not fear noise as well as to tug and pull. Feeling different textures is also a bonus.

Sit and Spin never ceases to be enjoyed by pups. They love how it turns with them on or off of it. Some grab the handle and chew while others use it sort of like a scooter - half on, half off as it turns around and around. Toys are also interesting - especially playing 'Keep Away'!

All in all a very exciting and busy week for all!

Figgy's babies are THREE weeks old, time has flown!

These babies have their eyes open but still have a bluish film on them which will go away very soon. They bark, or rather mewl when hungry or frightened; sometimes they sound like a siren when truly unhappy - yikes! They are gaining very well and are even using the litter box with a pee pad in it - good boys and girls.  :+)

Figgy continues to mother them well and is protective if Tate's pups get too near, so I am very careful to be sure Tate's pups are in their pen behind a locked gate before letting Figgy in to nurse - revolving doors around here.

This coming week will have a huge evolution - from that neonatal to little dog stage. Then the fun pics start.

Lime Girl at 3 weeks is 3 lbs.

Teal Boy at 3 weeks is 3 3/4 lbs.

Peach Girl at 3 weeks is 4 lbs.

Red Boy at 3 weeks is 3 lbs.

Lilac Girl at three weeks is 3 3/4 lbs.
