Figgy's 4 week olds are a bunch of sleepy heads!

They sure do sleep a lot and given that it takes me numerous photo sessions, ultimately there will be a few who simply won't keep their eyes open!

This week brings teeth erupting, more litter box use, a bit of wrestling, walking and they even play a bit with some toys. Every now and again, I also hear one bark! Figgy is only nursing three times a day at the most and the pups happily eat their meals that are served by me. A big leap!  However, there is still lots and lots of naps.

So, please don't be disappointed that some pups have their eyes closed - when the sleep fairy arrives, nothing keeps them awake!  :+)

Lilac Girl at four weeks weighs 4 1/2 lbs.
She was at least awake!

At four weeks Lime Girl  weighs 3 3/4 lbs.
She had a little bit of 'oomph' left.

Losing the battle is our four week old, Peach Girl who is using the edge
to hold her head up.  She weighs 4 1/2 lbs.

Teal Boy is trying his best but those eyes are really
way too heavy. He is four weeks and weighs 4 3/4 lbs.

Red Boy has totally succumbed to the Nap Fairy.
He weighs 3 3/4 lbs. at 4 weeks.

They really do have 'waking moments' but they are soooo brief.  When tired, they just want a pillow, an arm or a soft bed to cuddle with each other for snoozes.

Now that they have reached the four week marker, I am happy to take appointments for visitors. Just be sure you make no stops - from your house to mine. Hand washing will be required and shoes removed or surgical slippers will be provided.  All must be seated to hold a pup. Inside voices only - no yells or happy screams please - these pups are still sensitive to sound.  :+)

Here are some shots of when they are awake!  :+)  They are very intrigued with Tate's pups which go visit them often through the fencing.

  1. Thanks. Once Figgy goes back to her guardian home, I bet they will really enjoy getting to know their bigger cousins 'next door' to them.
