Dancing Matilda aka Tillie here. (Pics!)

Tonight begins Tillie's journey to her first whelping adventure.  I don't expect her to be in active labor for a few more days, but preparations are underway and I look forward to a few days of having her around getting adjusted to our girls and household.  Tillie will whelp under my desk in the office where it is dark, warm and will provide her with a 'safe place'.  Towels are washed and ready for her to shred if she wishes. Stay tuned!

Update!  Tillie has arrived, been introduced to my four ladies of the house and is settling in nicely.  She has an adorable round belly.

Update #2:  Pics!
Her face says it all.  Tillie is so sweet and gentle.

Tillie's belly is cleaned up for pups' easy access to their milk supply.

This is the week for new pics, I guess. :+)

I had the pleasure of spending a couple of hours this morning with the guardians of Nellie Bly who is now 7 months old and 21 lbs.  More than likely, she will eventually reach about 15 or 16 inches tall and around 24 lbs. at maturity.

Nellie's family has done a wonderful job with her and she is a social butterfly.  Obedience classes are paying off in a big way along with a good routine at home.

Please enjoy the pics below of a hopeful breeder of mini sized puppies for Annabelle Doodles.  I so hope her testing goes well.

Barely the height of a chair!

Nellie's two-legged playmates..

Nothing like a fireplace to ward off the chill of a winter walk!

A gorgeous shade of apricot/red.

Can YOU say 'no' to this face?

Camden's visit.

After a bath and a small clipping, Camden is ready to be returned to her guardian.  Although I sorely miss not having a litter of pups from her, I am totally looking forward to a litter from her and Dublin when she cycles again in June, I hope.

Camden is a lovely four year old who loves to play, walk, chase, eat and be cuddled.  The Dublin x Camden litter should be wonderful for families with school age children or active young adults/retirees.

I took these pics today of Camden enjoying the outdoor turf area with a toy after her groom.

A very svelte girl at just about 30 lbs. and 18 inches tall.

She loves to chew toys.

Those head tilts get me every time!

Camden is eyeing that toy ready to pounce!

Today is Dancing Matilda aka Tillie's birthday and this is how she is celebrating it.

Miss Tillie is about a month into her pregnancy and is definitely getting the royal treatment.  I am sure today will be filled with extra belly rubs and probably a gourmet dinner.

Way to go Tillie!  Happy Birthday pretty girl!!  Do you see her 'Madonna' smile?

Why I love Black Labradoodles so much.

It is a known fact....my favorite color of Labradoodle is black and I make no bones about it.  :+)  I love the shine, the reflective properties and the mystery of the color black.  They are regal in my opinion. Black doodles seem to have the softest looking brown eyes and you never see any coat staining. You don't see much dirt either but that does not mean your companion should have less baths!

Stunning black puppy at 9 weeks old.

Olive, an adult with an adolescent boy.

Piper Moon.
Felix is a black dilute I call charcoal.  It is exactly what he looks like!

In my program, I will always breed to produce black puppies. In Labs, Poodles and Spaniels, it is one of the most demanded and popular colors!  Why not the Labradoodle?? Yes, ticks are harder to find but tick preventatives work on all colors. Dilutes of the color black will turn like Felix and sometimes even lighter as to look silver. These colors are very difficult to know early. Felix did not begin to turn to charcoal until he was two!

The Poodle color genes are extensive and have so many dilute shades as to make your head spin. Not so with the Spaniels or the Labs - those are pretty routine. So we can thank our non-shedding, intelligent, extremely popular Poodle parent breed for the wonderfully distinctive shades of our Labradoodles!

DUBLIN AND MUDDIE PEARL HAVE HONEYMOONED!

Dublin
After our miss with the Camden x Jaxon pairing, I am very glad that the mating of these two went smooth as butter today.  Tango Wool's Dublin, our newest red-headed tri-owned stud, was at his best behavior and at the top of his game.

Muddie Pearl was full of flirt and flair and according to the vet, was at a prime time in her breeding cycle.  We are taking no chances however and will re breed again on Monday just to be sure we covered all the bases. 'Dublin's sperm is in the billions' exclaimed Dr. Lynch!  :+)
Muddie Pearl
Pearl is local to me and I will be having her palpated for a pregnancy verification in about 25 days.  I am expecting that this breeding will be a complete success and pups should be born around May 9th or so.

This litter should produce both blacks and apricot/reds but DON'T bet on it! Many times the color DNA does not follow the charts.  In order to get on this listing, you absolutely must be happy with either color as clients and pups are matched  to lifestyles and allergy needs, not colors or genders. There is always some wiggle room but not much.  This litter of puppies will be curly, non-shedding and be of a solid medium size ranging from 18 to 20 inches and 30 - 35 lbs.

Today's results.

On one hand, I was very happy to learn that Dancing Matilda is indeed pregnant but very disappointed that the Camden x Jaxon long distance mating did not produce any pups.  Due to the missed pregnancy, Camden will be bred to Dublin around June for all medium size puppies weighing roughly 30 to 35 lbs. at maturity.

I have contacted all my client list regarding the disappointing news and have given all of you other options including names and numbers of local breeders to me that have puppy opportunities.

I hope all of you message me back with your choice.  You do have options and I wish you all the best in your decision making process.

Camden has arrived from California!

She looks totally at ease from her across the country trip.  Her body appears to be a little plump but we will verify her status on THURSDAY (I had hoped for Wednesday but my vet is not available).  Hopefully, an x-ray will show puppies growing.  Keep checking for confirmation on her pregnancy status this week!

Camden did not get pregnant unfortunately.  :+(
