Dancing Matilda aka Tillie here. (Pics!)

Tonight begins Tillie's journey to her first whelping adventure.  I don't expect her to be in active labor for a few more days, but preparations are underway and I look forward to a few days of having her around getting adjusted to our girls and household.  Tillie will whelp under my desk in the office where it is dark, warm and will provide her with a 'safe place'.  Towels are washed and ready for her to shred if she wishes. Stay tuned!

Update!  Tillie has arrived, been introduced to my four ladies of the house and is settling in nicely.  She has an adorable round belly.

Update #2:  Pics!
Her face says it all.  Tillie is so sweet and gentle.

Tillie's belly is cleaned up for pups' easy access to their milk supply.

  2. And here they are! Tillie is such a wonderful girl...so snuggly, kind and easy to have around. I can't wait to see her pups - been waiting well over two years for her babies!

  4. Would you believe that Tillie is 4 years old and having her first litter? Time flies, does it not? Can't wait for them to arrive but it won't be today as she continues to devour her food! She cracks me up because she looks like such a lady but burps like a motorcycle Hawg!

    1. Lol!! Albert farts - not frequently, thank god, because when he does, he clears the room. Also, he tries to blame it on Betty.

  6. I keep asking Tillie but she is not answering! She just lies about, eating heartily, getting belly rubs, going potty and not showing any imminent whelping signs. :+( I am ready, willing and able but Tillie is far too content!!!

    1. I'm with Joyce. Bob is so anxious he's taken his chain saw out and is deforesting the property! I'm inside nibbling on everything in sight!

    2. Oh Joanne, that is hysterical! Would be awesome if they came by tonight but that might be a bit of wishful thinking. Tillie is panting pretty regularly now and is always seeking dark, soft spaces when not in the office with me. Both Olive and Harriet are her companions when she goes outside, which is often. Right now, Olive is right by the entrance of the office doorway. Not only because she is my shadow but I think is sending comforting vibes to Tillie.
