ADNE's first 'historical' litter. Nellie x Emmett

This is my first litter to be born on such a prestigious holiday so I have decided to 'ID' the pups with patriots of our revolution. I have never done this before but enjoy deviating from the norm every now and again, so bear with me. (yes, I did switch Blue and Green collars)

  • Green Collar was first born and will be called 'George Washington', our first President.
  • Our Phantom Girl will be 'Molly Pitcher' who kept the canons cool in the fighting fields. When her husband was killed, she earned the respect of the soldiers by loading and shooting the canons herself with great accuracy!
  • Orange Girl is 'Abigail Adams' and was instrumental in advising her husband, John Adams, to include women as 'equal' in the drafting of our Constitution. She certainly had vision!
  • Yellow Girl will be 'Betsy Ross', our flag maker. Betsy was a Quaker and 'read-out' (ignored) when she left that society to marry her husband. An independent woman!
  • Blue Boy is 'Ben Franklin', one of our founding fathers and creative inventor. Did you know he was an avid swimmer and created 'fins' for his hands to increase his speed?
Doing a bit of research on some famous (and not so famous patriots) was an interesting fact-finding experience. It was amazing to learn how every seemingly innocuous deed was an instrumental thread in the fabric that become our nation.

Happy Fourth of July everyone!
