Olive's litter arrives!

Hi!

This is Olive's first litter, so she did not know what to expect and labor was a very long process beginning around 10 PM Saturday night. It continued all day on Sunday and she began pushing at 8:40 PM and had her first pup at 9:43 PM.

Olive is an excellent mother, keeping herself and all her pups spotless! She has taken to her role exceptionally well. What a relief!

I was able to take a nap this morning for a couple of hours and Olive has been sleeping most of the day! The pups have AMAZING coats and is exactly what I was expecting with this mating.

Here is the firstborn at 9:43 weighing 11 oz. She is an apricot/red fleece.

At 10:07, Navy Boy arrived weighing 10 1/2 oz. Another lovely fleece in an apricot/red color.

Black Boy, 11 oz., emerged at 10:37 PM. His black fleece is a glistening oil slick! I love his dotted ribbon on him - so fun!

Only 12 minutes later, Teal Boy quickly followed. He weighed 11 oz. as well and is a lovely shade of apricot red in a fleecey coat.

It took little Red Girl over an hour to be welcomed into the world. She is an itty bitty at 8 oz. but is holding her own with her siblings. She is a warm apricot fleece as well.

The caboose of the litter is Lavender Girl. She weighed in at 11 oz. and glistens like her brother.

The group. (The Orange dotted ribbon has been replaced with Teal.)
