Hazel's one day old pups!
At noontime, we had a vet appointment for Hazel and her pups to be checked out to be sure all is well. Their front dew claws were removed to prevent any issues in their future and Hazel was thoroughly checked out to be sure she had milk and was not harboring any 'left over placentas' etc. Of course Hazel was a bit stressed to have her pups removed from her to go to the surgery area but she settled quickly and is happy to be home and nursing her brood.

Good momma - she wanted to protect her pups. They are lovely.
ReplyDeleteYes, she is very protective of her pups as all new mothers are. The trip went well though and she nursed and took care of them beautifully go to and returning from the vets. :+)
DeleteShe is now nursing and eating a dish of food. Happy girl. :+)
Aw, at the moment I love Russet and Buttercup. And the rest, lol. Of course, I will probably have different favorites tomorrow.
