DAISY2 X EMMETT LITTER OF NINE!

Whew! It has been a whirlwind couple of days! Daisy did a great job of whelping her litter of nine babies. I hope to get an appointment tomorrow to have them examined and remove their dew claws. By the grace of God, she has ten nipples, so all can nurse at the same time. Daisy genuinely looks forward to her potty breaks with this brood!

She is eating well and all seems very normal at this time. They certainly are beautiful though - like a bunch of shiny pennies!

There are five males and four females. Here are their stats in order of birth:

  • 5:43 pm - Red Collar Male - Black in color. 9  1/2 ozs.
  • 5:57 pm - Pink Collar Female - Chocolate in color. 10  1/4 ozs.  (possible keeper)
  • 7:00 pm - Blue Collar Male - Apricot in color. 7  5/8 ozs.
  • 7:23 pm - Yellow Collar Male - Black in color. 8  1/4 ozs.
  • 7:53 pm - Brown Collar Male - Black in color. 9  5/8 ozs.
  • 9:29 pm - Orange Collar Female - Black in color. 7  5/8 ozs.
  • 9:58 pm - Teal Collar Female - Apricot in color. 7  5/8 ozs.
  • 10:50 pm - Green Collar Male - Apricot in color. 7  5/8 ozs.
  • 11:49 pm - Violet Collar Female - Black in color. 7  5/8 ozs.
All the soiled laundry was in the washing machine and everyone cleaned up by midnight. I was happy to go to bed.
