Figgy enjoyed her tryst with Rodeo!

Figgy is looking for her mate!
She found him and he is stunning!

Always smiling.
Beautiful 'Holiday Figgy Puddin' was mated successfully to Tango Wool's Copeland Rodeo aka Cooper.  A stunning litter is expected sometime in mid June.   An ultra sound will be done in approximately 30 days for confirmation purposes.

This mating will produce blacks and cream or apricots with fleecy coats.  There is a possibility that silvers or blues may also be in the color scheme due to Figgy being a 'Lavender' dilute.  Color genetics are quite complicated and there are not tests for every combination so we happily take whatever combos Mother Nature provides.

These pups should have lovely conformation in a medium in size with fabulous temperaments.  The weight range will be roughly 32 to 35 lbs. and height 18 to 19 inches.

Happy Birthday Maple and Rumple's litter of 3/21/11!

All of you are now two years old!  This picture shows that Noodles got a 'new brother' to share his birthday with this year.  His name is Couper and they love playing outdoors together.

Needle In a Haystack aka DUBLIN!

Posted by Picasa

Dublin passing his STAR puppy class with
Heather and friend.

Dublin was 'Lucky', but his new guardian gave us a new name suggestion and we all loved it hence the change.  Dublin is your typical, lovable, joyful Labradoodle!  He will be medium in size.  His deep apricot colored coat is non-shedding and will be curly at maturity.

He enjoys the company of other dogs and children who want to be his playmate.  Dublin has a friendly nature and a personality spilling over with enthusiasm.

Dublin's new guardian has worked for the Guiding Dogs program for over 30 years as a foster and we are beyond thrilled that she felt Dublin was so exceptional that she wanted to become his permanent guardian.

I am at a lull here at Annabelle Doodles. It has been

a good time to spend a week with my daughter painting her large kitchen area; then spend a few days nursing a cold (good timing!) and visiting.

I still don't know if Eloise is pregnant or not but will find out in a couple of weeks.  I am keeping my fingers crossed to see my very first litter of 'micro' minis ever produced by Annabelle Doodles and quite possibly the first in the United States!

Both Figgy and Tillie are taking their time coming into their breeding season, so we all must wait until Mother Nature makes the decision.  :+(  Be patient because I think both these litters will be 'crazy' adorable!  It is my hope that Tillie will produce the black and white parti markings that I have been waiting years for; and Figgy's mating to Rodeo should produce gorgeous puppies in a medium size with strong boning.  So looking forward to both litters!!  I am also hoping they are spread enough apart to not have BOTH litters at the same time.   Oi!

The joy of fresh snow!

Early this morning, I had opened the gate to one of our outside pens that has about two feet or more of snow in it so the pups could have a bigger space to exercise.  Then it actually began snowing with big fluffy flakes and I saw the pups having a ball outside in it so I took my camara and started clicking through my office window.  The shots are not as sharp as they would have been if I was outside but I knew I would disturb the fun they were having if I ventured outdoors.

It is truly beautiful when we have snow like this but these little snow bunnies take the cake!!  Enjoy!

Leaving the nest in order: MAYBELLINE, MAISY, ANI, CRYSTAL, HAZEL MAE and AUBREE go home!

I was very surprised when I got a call to pick up Maybelline today.  Her guardian was anxious to have her join their family and so I quickly got all her things together and off she went!

As the pups leave, I will add them to this post.

First pick up is Maybelline with her new family.  I will see
her often as May is a breeder hopeful.

Late this morning, Miss Maisy (Purple Girl) was on her way home with lots of
hugs and smiles to accompany her.  :+)

I think Ani is going to make these two youngsters very happy!

After a very snowy trek up to Maine, Miss Crystal was
picked up and is now cuddling with her new family.
Hazel Mae snuggling in with her new family.

Aubree was the last to leave and now I truly have an empty nest.
I am sure her new family will be very entertained with this sweetheart.  :+)

With any luck, I will not be without puppies for long as my tiny micro mini, Eloise was bred on March 1st.  It will be a month or so before I know if the artificial insemination took but I am keeping my fingers crossed!

All my families know to contact me any time for questions or concerns about their pup.  This is what I do and I look forward to all calls or emails.  No question is silly!  Enjoy your puppies and give me an update every now and again, please!  :+)  Joyce

Thank goodness for clever husbands!!

I had been talking to my husband about a neat dish I saw and how convenient it would be if I had one similar to it for feeding multiple puppies.  Carrying in several dishes at the same time can be a 'disaster waiting to happen'.

It did not take long for Carl to come up with a design that works terrific!  It is lightweight, serves six at a time and wipes clean in a jiffy.  I thought you might enjoy seeing the ladies dining all together at the same table.  :+)
