We are half way home to you. (6 weeks)

I bet all of you are counting the days till your pup is home with you. :+)

In the meantime, they continue to enjoy the outdoors, play with Chaplin every now and again with supervision and grow.

This week, they have conquered using the doggie door. They have also learned that they can jump out of their x-pen when I leave the door open for them to venture outside - the ramp no longer makes them nervous. Both the aisle and the first paver pen has become their expanded play area in the mornings when there is shade. Later in the day, they are moved to the stone pen so that they do not have too much sun on them. Being outside is their favorite thing right now. Plus, they have Chaplin to tease as he is on the 'outside looking in'.

For today's six week pics, I brought them to the gardens for the most part. We are working on redesigning our pathway to the front door, so some pics have a bit of that in the background.

  1. I sure am counting the days. I'm also counting the days to my first visit and looking forward to learning which precious pooch will be the one.

  2. I know! They are getting soooo big and full of 'you know what'. :+)

They just had their breakfast and are outside playing chase in the rain. This is good for them to experience. I know many breeders who do not allow their pups in the rain and clients have a hard time getting them to go outside potty in the rain because of the non-exposure as pups.

Messy? Oh yes! A necessary mopping over and over. :+)

  3. Albert loves the rain! We've made it a practice since we brought him home to gently wipe his feet and toes, as well as, his belly, face, and tail, every time he comes in from playing outside. He's gotten very good at this, and it makes bringing him in on the messy wet days soooo much easier. We keep a bin of soft rags at the ready on our front and back porches just for this purpose. No excess mud and dirt in the house :-)
