Maple Sugar had her ultra sound today and the vet could definitely see 6 puppies but gave me a range of '6 to 8'! I can't wait to see those sparkling blacks and reds! We will have such puppy color here at Annabelle Doodles!
Hi Joyce - Was Maple Sugar bred to Coriander or Rumple? I can't remember. Hope she has lots of little girls :) I hope to see you soon when Dina comes for the 4 week visit
Maple Sugar was bred to Rumple as well. He was a busy boy and has produced large litters.
I expect blacks and red/apricots but only Mother Nature knows how many of each sex/color we will have. My past experience with my litters is that they are pretty much split down the middle with any uneven litters being more males. I have only had one litter with more females than males in a total of 10 liters.

when are the puppies due to be born?
ReplyDeleteI am expecting the litter to be born at the end of Feb. or early March. Homebound will be in very early June - my best estimate at this time.
