Presenting...a Tunnel Dialogue by: Olive's Pups

Prologue:

I decided to introduce the pups to a small tunnel. It is plastic and doesn't last long, but while it is around, the pups usually love it. The story unfolds.....

'Hey, look...there is a new 'thing' in our pen', says Red Girl.

'What do we do with it? Do we jump on it?'

'No, I think we roll it.'

'Should we be inside when we roll it?'

'Uh...don't think so, cause it won't move now'.

'Guys, I don't think this is right.'

'Maybe I can pull it down with this string hanging down!'

'Or, we could try squishing it.'

'I can't get under it.'

'I need to think about this.'

'Finally, it is down where it needs to be.'

'I am exhausted and am taking a nap! And, I am keeping this string in my mouth so it can't get away again!'

  1. I wish we could have been there to see this in person! They are too much! You should have seen John the other night - he took masking tape and mapped out the "rest area" for the puppy (where we will put the exercise pen/crate, etc. when we have to step out for a little bit) in the living room! Had to make sure it was the perfect amount of room for the new family member! I am calling it the puppy vacation compound:-)

  2. John, your my man! You can never be prepared soon enough. You will be amazed at how quickly the time flies once you know which pup is yours. I can't believe they are coming up to 7 weeks in a couple of days - WOW! They are soooo good and an easy group. They make very few potty mistakes; love belly rubs and think that falling over on their backs is the normal thing to do for 'belly' action. Too darn funny. They have been doing quite well with my 'Ouches' for putting their mouth on me - even when it does not hurt. :+) I can hardly wait to see how they do when they can finally go into the pool. They need more growing!
