A perfect day for the outdoors!

I spent a good portion of the day pressure washing the outside pens so the pups might have the opportunity to be outdoors.  Boy do they LOVE it!

Tillie was looking like she wanted to participate in the fun, so I let her in.  :+)

Full bellies.

Plenty of exercise.

Naptime.  zzzzzzzzzzz...zzz

  1. Well I hope they enjoyed the sun yesterday :( It's gone again here. I saw a picture of "merle" doodles today. What an interesting coat have you ever seen one in person?

  2. The Merle coat is common in Cockapoos, Australian Shepherds and other breeds but is not a pattern ADNE would want to include in my program as both blindness and deafness occurs with this pattern when dogs are not bred correctly. It takes due diligence as well as extensive pedigree research to work with this gene. Given all the other health issues a responsible breeder tests for, why add one that you can easily avoid simply by omitting a breeding with a dog that carries for it?

Fortunately, there is now a DNA test for it which will inform a breeder if a dog is a carrier or clear of this pattern.

Hats off to those breeders willing to take on that challenge but not this breeder!

  3. That is very interesting. I didn't see a current littler just a "googled' pic. I thought it was a "woopsy" to be honest because the color combo looks like a mistake lol
